First Outing (Oka Osso)

Among the many planets you wouldn't call hospitable in the galaxy, Tatooine was one of them. Nothing but hot and blistering sand with plenty of residents to match in attitude. Some people found it amazing those that lived their, and not counting the species that originated there, could actually make a living in burning hell hole. Thankfully for some it was only a place for a pit stop or the like, be it for business or pleasure.

In one of the hustling space ports of Tatooine a dymanic class fighter had landed in bay B-14. Once it had settled the landing grid opened and a single figure stepped out. While it was clearly a woman her face was covered thanks to the armor she wore. It was Mandalorian in origin but was colored blue and had odd insignias painted on. It was clear whoever she was she was here looking for someone.

Using her wrist communicator she spoke to someone on-board, saying "Alright. Kill the engines for now. Once I find him I'll give the word to start prepping."

The engines to the ship, the Obsidian as the name was spray-painted on the hull, eventually shut off and the woman made her way out of the docking bay ad out into town. She was looking for someone who she thought would stand out from the crowd, but then again a space port was bound to have a number of odd looking people. But she was here seeking a Jedi.

As she walked through the streets some had glanced her dirty looks, which she either ignored or only returned despite her eyes being covered by her helmet. She wasn't sure where this Jedi was but she knew where to ask: among the vendors in the street. Thankfully for her one was able to give her his location on the grounds of buying something, which all she bought was a piece of fruit she saved for later.

Making her way to the ship yards she looked around before spotting the man she was looking for; or at least whom she assumed as much given his appearance. She wanted to keep this simple so, casually, she walked up to him while his back was turned and fixing his ship before finally speaking.

"Hey. You wouldn't happen to know where I can find a guy named [member="Oka Osaa"] would you?

It wasn't normal for Oka to be on Tatooine but that would be the best place to fix your ship, given that the place is like a junkyard. Usually, he wouldn't be here fixing his ship but his astromech suggested that he look at the hyperdrive. Once he looked at it, the droid was right. It was blasted. "I take it you didn't want to get blown up B7. Once we hit hyperspace, this would've sent us flying into an astroid or a star." he said as he looked around. The shipyard was full of things but he didn't remember what hyperdrive his FT-18 Pillar needed. He just stood there wandering, but that quickly ended. A woman's voice came from behind. His brown cloak had blocked his belt with all of his gear so he could grab something in secret but this woman seemed to be here for something, but what? He didn't turn because that's a mistake everyone makes when first meeting someone unless they're on your side. "Yeah, I actually know him pretty well. What brings you here seeking a Jedi?" it was obvious she was searching for him for a reason, but again what?

Folding her arms she answered "Let's just say I've got a job that might tick off the wrong people. Mainly Sith. And if there's one thing I know can help against Sith, it's a Jedi. I hear it's something of a job they do anyways. Word down the grapevine told me I could find him here. IS he here?"

It was pretty clear both of them knew who he was. She just liked to play as part of his little game in the end of acting as though she didn't. Already it was clear both of them had the same sense of introduction as she could see his one had was near where she figured his weapons were. Fine with her since her one hand had rested on where her blaster was on her belt just in case. She really hopped he wouldn't be the aggressive type since she really wanted his help.

Oka figured it was time to reveal himself. He turned around and was shocked by what he saw. A Death Watch member. All of them should be dead, he thought. "Well, you've found your Jedi. Where did you get that armor. All of Death Watch should be dead." he said with a calm tone. That might have been from her family or a finding during a hunt but most of Death Watch were deadly warriors. He wasn't intimidated but the Jedi have always disliked such kind. Maybe she just wears it to be wearing it or something but he didn't stay defend less, Oka stood defensively in case.

Upon hearing his question the only answer she gave about her armor was "They ARE all dead." After that she took the conversation away to "Let's talk business, alright? I'm a smuggler and I need to get a shipment of parts to a buyer. Problem is his rendezvous point is on the border of Sith controlled space. And one thing I don't want to do is go in blindly and possible piss off the Sith and have them on my heels. That's why I'm asking for your help. If your up for it I can promise a split of the profit right down the middle. You can even bring your ship if you want. Got my own."

Well, so they are dead as he thought. Maybe he asked a question that he shouldn't have. Either way, there was business to take care of. "Okay I'm in, but I don't take credits though and my hyperdrive is fried. That might delay the mission." he said as he held out his hand. "Oka Osaa, a pleasure."

Hearing out his terms she nodded while saying "If you need to, go ahead and fix it up ASAP. We're out within two hours." She looked down when he offered his hand before returning it and saying "Reeza." After that she looked back at his ship and asked "She yours? Where's a Jedi get their hands on one of those? I thought you guys were like warrior monks who didn't believe in valuable possessions or anything like that."

This wouldn't be easy, probably wouldn't get done in two hours either but all he could do is try. "My droid can fix the hyperdrive, might last awhile until I can get a new one." he finished sighing. Hyperdrives weren't cheap in a galaxy far far away. But sitting there using excuses wouldn't help his situation. He laughed when she spoke for the third time. "Well Reeza, I am of this Jedi era. I believe you have mistaken us for the old order although some things are the same." he paused. "Rendili Stardrive made that beauty. Unfortunately, it has a weak spot in the shields I guess. Must've been pirates or someone who shot it....Anyways, would you like to eat or something before we handle some darksiders?" he asked as he whispered to B7 to work on the hyperdrive.

She shrugged at his offer before saying "Why not? Never know if it's your last meal or not. I'll follow you. Don't know the place too well." She indicated for him to lead the way before following. As she did she had to note how decent he seemed to be for a Jedi. Not what she expected since she always thought monks who were always on about the force and other crazy stuff like that. At least guy had the decency to offer a meal.

"That is true, but I'm sure the sith are in a good mood. Its not like they have a reason to not be in one." he joked as he walked towards a nearby cantina. Even though he despised Death Watch members, their armor was awesome. Something he could get used to if he wanted to conceal his identity. Oka didn't go in, he instead offered her to go in first. "What's that saying? Ladies first is it?" he said waiting for entrance or possible reply. It's not like he didn't have time to waste.

When he offered her first she joked "They teach you how to be so charming in Jedi school?" before walking in. Under her helmet she was smiling, not only at his gesture but at her own little joke as well. Even if he wasn't doing it for the sake of trying to impress her or the like she still had to joke when being treated like a lady. She made her way from their to two nearby seats at a corner table for flagging down service and saying "Some drinks and food. Surprise me." From there she finally removed her helmet, letting her long blonde hair fall down to her shoulders before fixing it out of her eyes. "That's better." she commented.

Oka laughed quietly walking in with her. He hadn't been to a Jedi school. A decade and few more years on another planet completely by yourself clears you mind but cuts you off from the galaxy. But that wasn't important, time was killing. He followed her to a table she sat at. She ordered a surprise? Interesting. Then, she surprised him. Her long blonde hair was beautiful. "Beautiful." he mumbled. Hopefully she didn't hear him, because that would be kinda rude talking to your possibly boss that way although it was a compliment. "Reeza, have you ever fought a sith or jedi before? Just curious in case we encounter a problem. Not saying we will but this is a galaxy of war." he asked watching her.

Hearing his little comment she smirked while responding "You're not the first to tell me that, just so you know." She leaned back as they waited before hearing him ask about her fighting any force users. "Well I shot at some. If that counts at all." Knowing he'd want an explanation she said "Fought during the invasion on Courascant. Real shame about losing such an important place. Especially to you Jedi I'll bet."

Knowing she heard him, he laughed in his head. Oka figured she'd say that. Most women say that really. "Probably won't be the last." he said standing up and removing his cloak and setting it on the booth he'd been sitting in. "Defiantly counts. And not really. Just set us back a bit forcing us to make new temples and stuff like that. Whether this galaxy knows it or not, sith are weak even if they kill Jedi." he finished as he sat down. Sith were really weak, maybe they'd say different but in the end, we'll all see when the war is over... if it ends.

She huffed a little at his remark before saying "Be sure to tell them that if they manage to take down half of you. No offense, just saying." By that time the drinks had arrived with a few bowls of finger foods. Reeza liked her lips before taking a huge sip of her drink and then digging in. Given the way she ate she clearly was more of a rougher tougher girl than what was expected from someone that looked like her. "By the way, where'd you get your astromech from? I have an R5 series sitting in my ship right now."

He laughed again in his head but stopped shortly after the drinks and some food arrived. Oka held off. He believed in analyzing your food if it was made by a stranger. Everything seemed fine so he grabbed something out of a bowl. It tasted good when he took a bite of it. Looked like a potato but tasted different. He then sipped some water and replied. Oka was surprised by the way she ate. Well she did wear Death Watch armor. "I actually got some of it here and some on Coruscant. I added a lot of intelligence to its core or whatever you call their brains. R5 series are rare to me. Mine could be classified as the R3 series." he said sipping some more of the water that tasted really good for Tatooine water.

She nodded before saying "Not bad. Mine's a basic model. He's old but he gets the job done. I call him 'Clunk'." She smirked a little as she sipped after saying that. "How about that ship of yours? Seen a lot of action with her or is it just a rental?"

This talk had been being enjoyed by Oka and at least it passed time too. "Clunk, huh? I just call mine B7, short for B7-Y2. Maybe an odd name but I like it." he said pushing his glass aside. "Nah, its mine. I don't usually get much action, but when I do its probably pirates, smugglers, sith, other thiefs or someone random. It does pack a punch though." he paused. "I've actually been looking to start buying many cruisers or star destroyers and stock up on a fleet in case a bigger war comes. Maybe a few squadrons with elite pilots and ships. That'd be awesome. But I could take a light freighter for now I suppose." he felt like he was talking too much so he stopped there.

Her eyes went a little wide when he mentioned buying up a fleet, making her say "I hope you and your Jedi buddies have deep enough pockets to fill out that order." She sipped more down before saying "Now about this job, I'm thinking it'd be best if we each carry half the load-out. That way we both know to have each others backs. Not that I don't trust you or nothing, it's just that it's better to have as many insurances as possible."

Oka smiled. "This is for my own sake. I only savecredits for that, ships, and meals." he said grabbing his glass back and eating some more of the thing he got. "Trust no one but the force. That's what my dad said before the last time I left the planet Baro. That might be where the fleet will go." he paused eating the last of the item. "Sounds good but what are we smuggling. I wanna know if its explosives or something. Not fond of surprises." he said with the past word jokingly.
