Director of the First Order Security Bureau
The Director oversees the whole organization (formerly reporting to the Minister of Security) though she doesn’t necessarily involve herself in every operation. The Director’s primary goal is to ensure that the Bureau provides adequate support to the Retribution Corps, and to recover assets that may assist the First Order. The Director will continuously maintain communications with the Grand Admiral of the First Order military junta, reporting any security threats or targets of opportunity.
Deputy Director
The Deputy Directors are in charge of the day-to-day operations of the Bureau. They are responsible for logistics, administration (including all internal investigations), counter-intelligence. Typically they will also oversee the implementation of new processes, safeguards, and controls, including directives from the Director, cyber security measures and tech, across all branches of service, and can often be found working with a detachment of the Retribution Corps in order to facilitate their objectives.
Station & Bureau Chiefs
The Chiefs represent the Bureau’s managerial staff. They consist of agents and operatives that have showed exemplary skill and leadership in their respective fields. Station Chiefs act as commanding officers, directing groups of agents in field missions, often in secret or behind enemy lines. Bureau Chiefs are also commanders, but they oversee and run the numerous FOSB outposts and facilities responsible for intelligence gathering and analysis. They may also lead development projects, serve as diplomats, head interrogation efforts, or act as liaisons or operational support for the various branches of service. Direct orders for an operation will most likely come from a Chief, though such is not always the case.
Special Agent
Agents make up the bread and butter of the Security Bureau. They are made up of
Supervisory Special Agents, or SSAs, that have been selected based on a leadership potential and key attributes. They consist of field operatives and typically lead small squads in covert operations. SSAs may operate independently of superiors in a variety of roles or work directly with a superior to accomplish a mission. These field personnel that have been recognized for a particular set of skills over their time in the Bureau and are rife with experience and specializations. These will most likely manage a team of fresh recruits and graduates being placed into their first assignments within the Bureau. Though these new agents may lack the experience of their superiors, they are typically recruited due to a wide array of aptitudes and abilities. Agents will receive a variety of requests from their higher-ups, including field work, intelligence gathering, etc. Much is expected of the agents of the Bureau and self initiative is a must for a budding agent.
Special Agent Specializations: Administration, Advanced Research, Analytics, Counterinsurgency, Counterintelligence, Cybersecurity, Cryptology, Intelligence, Interrogation, Logistics, Reeducation, Security Services, Signals Intelligence, Special Tactics, Surveillance, Technology, Uniformed Division
