The First Order never truly died. Although some try to console and delude themselves with the falsehood, that the once nigh unstoppable military force could never rise without it’s Supreme Leader, they are wrong. Although austere and lacking in number, the honest and the true now rebuild. Perhaps not in the grand gothic cities of Dosuun, or Hoth’s frigid tundra, yet they still sit. Waiting for their time to return.
The First Order at one point dominated the western reaches of the Galaxy. Extending successfully from Core, to the frontiers of the Unknown Region. An expanse of territory which civilised and incorporated a number of divergent species and cultures into its ranks. Instilling within these seperate groups a sense of camaraderie, loyalty and obedience to a higher order. This translated into a highly militarized society, where military service became a cultural honour, and with their victories on the battlefield, who could deny that?
The First Order’s military history was defined by unprecedented victories on the battlefield. Be it against the shattered remnants of the One Sith, Silver Jedi Order or perhaps most infamously the Galactic Alliance. Years of brutal warfare would ensure the name of the Order would stand in Galactic Memory. But unfortunately that would not last.
The Ssi-Ruuk Imperium, one of the earliest challengers to the First Order, would ironically be the ones to however send it toppling. Sabotage and subterfuge, of a scale not yet precedent by the military saw the response to an invasion of epic proportions mounted against the Order. Crippling defeats at the Capitol, Dosuun, and Bakura killed many of the First Orders prominent political leaders and what remained fled to friendly Sith Empire space. What remained of the First Order's forces were divided. The remnants of the Sixth and Seventh Fleets fled to Pa'Desh, while a larger group, lead by Grand Admiral [member="Cyrus Tregessar"] journeyed on an expedition of near certain doom to avenge the fallen, and scourge L'weck.
Pa’Desh (
x) is a nation state sat at the edge of the Unknown Regions. An archaic monarchy with bizarre customs and religions impressed upon a highly stratified caste system. During the peak of the First Order’s first rise to power, Pa’Desh was one of few independent systems whom willingly allied themselves to Supreme Leader Sieger Ren. In the aftermath of the defeat at the Battle of Bakura, the shattered remnants of the First Imperial Navy’s Sixth and Seventh fleets fled to Pa’Desh, lead by Grand Admiral Carlyle Rausgeber. Once there, he negotiated a lease of one of the ancient fortresses(
x) on the planet, and there set about restructuring the Order and it’s military into a new force. One ready to crush those who opposed the agenda and values of the Order.
Once staffed by a sprawling class of bureaucrats and professionals, the government of the First Order has been whittled down to little more than a military junta. Grand Moff Natasi Fortan’s legacy of a meritocracy staffed by the best the education system could offer, was lost with the defeat at Dosuun. Now what remains of the government is effectively run by Grand Admiral Carlyle Rausgeber and junta of military professionals who meticulously plan a return to power.
The following divisions compose the majority of the First Order military, though others may appear or merge in time:
Once one of the most dangerous and revered combat forces in the Galaxy, the First Imperial Navy, at least by size, is a shadow of its former glory. But nonetheless, the captains, officers and crew who made it the fearsome force of reckoning still sit in waiting. Developing new and daring tactics and weapons to once again crush opponents of the Order.
Composed of the highest number of soldiers within the First Order, the Stormtrooper Corps is the backbone of the ground forces. Due to severe losses from engagements with the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium, the state of the Corps is undermanned and under equipped. However, once the First Order regains a strong foundation and reforms more completely, the Stormtrooper Corps will again grow through recruitment and become a force to be reckoned with.
Stripped of access to endless supplies of manpower and supply, the armies of the First Order were radically streamlined from a highly stratified series of independent branches of service into a monolithic combat force. Combat hardened Stormtroopers, Death Troopers, Naval Commandos and assorted Special Forces Operators of all stripes now find themselves all streamlined into a single force. One which acts to avenge the First Order and enforce its will far from home. (

Spread throughout the remnants of First Order space the Werewolves thrive. Staffed by retired military veterans and loyal citizens, the Werewolves are a definitive force to be reckoned with. Be it resisting, defending or governing what shattered remains of the systems now. Often ragtag and lacking in discipline, the Werewolves more than make up for their shortcomings with their fanaticism, ferocity and cunning. (

One of the few apparatus' of state not truly effected by the First Order's collapse, the Security Bureau continue to act as the eyes and ears of the First Order. A shadowy organisation, the FOSB maintains a legendary spy network, along with a force of elite infiltrators and enforces. Providing intelligence from across the Galaxy and ensuring that ideological purity continues to be instilled, even in these most trying of times.
Following the disappearance of Supreme Leader Sieger Ren, the Knights of Ren have begun to rebuild and reforge a new order. Those that remain have consolidated the Knights into a singular force, while maintaining alliance with the First Order, and remaining their defenders against other Force using factions. With the more military focus of the First Order as a whole, the Knights of Ren are now taking a more definititive military presence, with Knights serving as squad leaders and/or anti-Force specialists. Those who journeyed to Pa’Desh have also been appointed varying positions within the Retribution Corps, providing that newer division with their skills also. (
