LFG First Galactic Farrus Tournament - Sign Ups

Due to the advent of the Farrus Spheres allowing creatures to be captured on an individual basis and carried by someone wherever they go, the Lady of Secrets has begun arranging a tournament of sorts for interested parties to battle with creatures from across the galaxy. This is an interest check- and sign-up page for a tournament that in no way is a Star Wars version of a Pokemon battle league, nope not at all.

I was inspired to try and do something fun with these from some ideas that got kicked around for a Sith acolyte thread awhile ago, and of course the immense success of the Kaggath Tournament, but I wanted to expand opportunities for any interested parties to participate and make something a little different from the usual fighting tournament. The tournament, much like the Kaggath, would be single elimination brackets utilizing a team of three creatures to battle other teams of creatures. I will be providing some prizes for the winner, second place, and anyone who places within the top 8 if we get enough participants gets a door prize of sorts, but sponsors and other additions to the eventual prize pool are welcome!

To sign up as a battler, simply post your interest below and I'll add you to the list below! I will charge a slight entry fee for anyone that joins that is collected before the tournament starts and a full roster of creatures for you to choose a team of three from, along with their stats, moves, and abilities.

Entry Fee
  • Individual Battler - 5,000 Underworld Credits

Battlers

The Rules
  • Participants utilize a team of three captured creatures from among either those provided or creatures they have captured themselves to battle another team. The victor is determined when all creatures from one team are knocked out or an opponent forfeits the match. A creature is rendered unable to battle when its HP is reduced to 0.
  • Battles utilize the dice system within Chaos, with the creature with the higher speed being able to act first. The participant chooses a move from among the four provided moves, with attacks requiring the participant to make a roll on whether its attack hits or not. A hit is a roll of 10 or higher without modifiers, with a critical hit occurring if a roll is a 20, and a miss is a roll of 9 or lower without modifiers.
  • Moves are split between two different types: Attacks and Supports. Attacks deal damage to opposing creatures while Supports provide modifiers to either your creature or an opponent’s creature.
  • Damage is dealt to creatures from Attacks by taking the base damage from the attack, adding modifiers from the creature’s Attack stat or from Support moves, and subtracting the opposing creature’s Defense stat and modifiers from the damage total. Damage is doubled if an attack is of a type that is super effective against the opposing creature OR if a critical hit is rolled. Damage is halved if an attack is of a type that is not very effective against the opposing creature.
  • Bonuses and/or penalties can be incurred depending upon if a participant provides details in their battles.
  • Terrain bonuses and/or penalties can be incurred depending upon the environment of where the battle is taking place.
  • Underworld Credits can be provided by observers to change a variety of circumstances within a battle such as a terrain change, buffs or debuffs to creatures, forcing a participant to switch, etc. The full list of changes will be provided at a later date before any start date of the tournament.
