STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
+ Born to fight: Advanced military training from an early age has sculpted this trooper into a killing machine, he ranks among the most capable of the 501st legion adaptable to a variety of tactics suited for the mission set before him.
+ Rallying Cry: The voice of Command, Decius knows how to rally the men at his side, those who have both spilled blood and lost it under his leadership; the legion has come to trust in his War Call, strengthening the moral of the troops. Under Decius and the Dominions cause, they will fight to the bitter end.
- No Pain, No Pride: A man born of War, Decius is stubborn and proud of his battle prowess. He is typically one to call the retreat unless ordered to do so from a superior officer; despite the losses of the men, they like he all know the risks of a soldiers life, the cost of victory is high and all at his side are willing to pay it gladly if it means victory over the enemy.
- Pained in Blood: Decius has fought through much, battling many foes though worst of all is the mind that wanes under the continuous conflict of the Galaxy. Through various leaders residing over the 501st legion, Decius has found himself fighting for the Sith, for the Empire, for the Republic and even for the Jedi at various stages of his life. This change of duty has often found him having to battle former allies, those he once knew to be soldiers at arms beside the Legion. The men he has killed, the reasons he has fought have not always been just yet his loyalty has never wavered in Duty. At times he can become unhinged, lost in the fury of the moment, lacking reason where instead there is only rage and pride.
APPEARANCE:
While it is rare to see Decius without his armor, he does make an appearance most times before command with his helm tucked under one arm as a show of loyalty and transparency before the varying layers of leadership within the Dominion's military.
His head is shaven, common of most military personnel and preferred by those who adorn the helm of war. The right side of his face is scarred, burn marks from a past battle upon Deneba in which their transport was downed and though he survived, it left it's mark on him still. His attitude is most typically stern, ever the soldier, serious in the moment, his duty is paramount to the Legion.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born upon the world of Lorrd notable for it's unique culture and military tactics, Loken Decius was recruited into the Legion at the young age of thirteen. Training for years under the watch of Darth Arcis and the Lords of the Fringe, the young man soon earning his place in the heat of battle showing great obedience and respect for the chain of command. With the reach of the Sith baring down on the Legion, Loken was encouraged to exercise as much ferocity in the heat of battle as was tactically sound, he found himself losing that juvenile care for the word around him more and more as his eyes were opened to the reality of what people could accomplish had they only the strength to do so. This brought about many questions, both in the integrity of himself and that of the Galaxy yet ever still, he wore the badge of a soldier and left such things to those that Commanded the Legion.
Years later, Darth Arcis would be killed and the Legion turned over into the hands of [member="Darth Mephirium"], it was here that the recognition of Lokens abilities was handed down; the previous Captain before him rising up against Cyril Grayson in retaliation for the Murder of their former Lord, struck down at the hands of the Sith. Unlike his fallen brother, Loken knew the chain of command and how easily things could change with one well placed bolt to the head of any man. He would soon come to command the 501st legion under the Lord of Ession, securing alliances and taking out their foes in tactical strikes and open warfare, whatever the cost and whatever the measure.
Atrisia later changed everything. Loken had been on the world when the Galactic Alliance had struck, there a man much older and far more experienced, he stood at his prime and as Mephirium's right hand of the Legion. Atrisia was sought to be the beginning of a new era, the formation of the Dominion that Cyril Grayson might bring about a safety net of strength and security for those that were suffering against the bickering armies and politicians of the galaxy. The onslaught wrought on by the Jedi Order soon engulfed the Dominion and with the remnants of the One Sith that were lured out by the chaos of battle, Darth Mephirium lost his life alongside millions of others, both civilian and military of all sides.
Retreating to the Chimaera, Loken was soon notified of a change in their command. Cyril Grayson had announced that [member="Veiere Arenais"] was to take his place, taking charge of the Capital Ship as well as all 9,700 troops aboard. The man's affiliation with the Silver Jedi Order would prove difficult to assimilate, the 501st Legion having been responsible for countless deaths of the Jedi of the past, so too vice versa, having lost numbers to their ilk, Loken and Veiere managed only by their history during the battle of Deneba. It was Loken's command that gave strength to the Legion and ultimately kept the loyalty under the new leadership of the Jedi Knight.
Where Veiere's attention shifted, the 501st Legion followed their charge. For a time it consisted of patrolling the Silver Jedi Orders territorial boundary watching for any movement of the Mandalorian Clans that might seek to deter the Jedi. However with the changes around Commenor and their leaders personal ambitions conflicting with their Duty to the Order, the Chimaera turned it's sights to the Core Worlds, where they would not only seek to support the Commenori Queen but so too would they remember the Atrisian Atrocities, reminded by the discovery of Cyril Grayson's holocron, setting the way for the rebirth of the Dominion under their Commanders governance.
