DESCRIPTION
Firaxan Industries is a Manaan based company founded in 508 ABY. Throughout its long history, the company has been observed in many different shapes and sizes and have, at times, relocated from Manaan completely. The company has focused on all things related to the production of ships, from the early concept to the drawing board and finally to the manufacturing and then the finished product. They offer a full service package where an entity might turn to them to create a ship from scratch to fill a certain role or to simply manufacture according to completed designs.
Surviving for such a long time, the company have had moments of brilliance - they are known for their efficiency, clever designs and the rugged reliability of the ships they build. The shareholders often enter the company with the intent to make as much of a profit as possible, but the core group of owners are true craftsmen or supporters of them, and care more about making good ships than anything else. This tends to influence newer shareholders to think in the same pattern. And it has, over the years, contributed to the company's good reputation and long standing customer base.
In general, it can be described as affiliated with democracies around the galaxy but will work with private or organised entities which are not strictly democratic too. They can often be found manufacturing multiple unique ships on special requests from private persons and companies from all over the galaxy. It has established facilities on both Manaan and Telti in order to ensure that they can manufacture vessels with relative ease, either by doing it underwater, or where there is low gravity. Recently, the company acquired the Interstellar Manufacturers of Pantora. The subsidiary has been allowed operational freedom in lieu of its success before the acquisition.

RATIONALE
This company is owned by a number of shareholders with
Chaussidier
as a majority shareholder after years of investment. Its day-to-day operations are directed by a board consisting of five Selkath board members, one Mon Calamari board member, one Chadra Fan board member and one Selkath chairman. The board operates under strict instructions from the company shareholders and have always been most loyal. Most of the board members have been active for decades and a large portion of them have personal experience building or designing ships.No Jedi can be found in the board and nobody is affiliated with any of the galaxies larger factions. This company is not owned by any single person or entity.
