Fighting to earn ones keep

Zaiden sighed and stretched, his body was tired and weak. It had been weeks he was active and working amongst the stars, like climbing a mountain, and he just wished it all over so he could reach the peak. But until his body was finished and complete...then he would be an opponent no man would seek.

Thus with this in mind, Zaiden sought his ally Sargon to battle. Quickly he moved into his armor and jumped on the saddle. If not for the Songsteel he was after, he wouldn't put up with the hassle.

But his body wasnt durable and complete. He had to wear a simple iron prosthetic, talk about feeling the heat. It seemed everyone aimed for his legs until he signaled a retreat. But this mattered little, as Sargon he would beat. Even at his best though, this would be a feat.

The heat of the sun beat down on the pit's cracked surface of sand, and dirt. The Zabrak was already waiting in the pit gazing over the blackened surfaces of the stands where lightning, and sabers had scarred the surface of the stone. The ground was pitted by the fall of bodies, and blasts of telekinetic powers. It was here Sargon waited with his sword and shield patently. Sitting on the uneven surface Sargon meditated upon the will of the force his weapons besides him.

Allowing his awareness to flow with the force Sargon simply existed with all the life around him. Whispers of the invisible life of insects that survived even in this havoc laced grounds. Slowly he became less aware of himself as an individual and became more aware of the connections between each individual, and the whole living force. It was like taking a step back from a single droplet of water, and realizing the entire pattern of a rainstorm. It was beyond comprehension, and any type of control. You simply experienced it.

With overly slow steps, Zaiden walked amongst the sands. The arena was a part if him now, as much so as the back of his own hands. He had watched many mature here, watched the growth from boy to man. Zaiden had become a part of the many here, even if that wasn't the game plan. And now he would have to beat a man he had known for sometime, barely just after the Fringe began.

So it was with a heavier heart, that Zaiden called out, "Sargon my friend I apologize, I don't want this bout. But since my battle with Shorn, I'm filled with such doubt. I force myself to lay awake at not, to not give into my unconscious shouts. I can't sleep without seeing my own insides begin to slip out..."

With nothing left to explain, Zaiden let himself spread into the force as well. To feel the joint life forces of all around, it was like falling prey to a spell. But it was this form of happiness, this sense of oneness Zaiden would need to expel. In order to win the Legate would need to open himself to the darkness, to slowly submerse himself till he reached hell.

Calling forth to a torrent of flames, Zaiden aimed his arms at his opponent and let loose. The smell of his own burning and crisping flesh was like a noose. But Zaiden channeled that pain, the rage at not being enough, the fear, he used it to call on further energy until he could be compared to Zeus. The infant surge of pain was so great, he prayed for himself not to lose...

Standing before the broken spirited man Sargon lifted his weapons, and awaited the unleashing of his anguish. It came in a form he'd grown used to at this point, force empowered lightning. Holding up his shield before him Sargon braced himself for the pain, and brought the blade Valik had made for him to bear. As quickly as the lightning came it was called to his blade, and it ate the lightning with a hunger. It wasn't enough for the torrent that Zaiden was sending out at him though. As arcs overwhelmed the blades ability to absorb the lightning a few moved to his shield, and while the energy was dissipated throughout the heavy prhik shield it still sent jolts down his muscles.

Extending his sense Sargon kept his mental defenses strong as he sent a wave of mental disturbance at @[member="Shado"]. it would cause no pain, and if he was the master over his own self at the moment the effects would be limited. If he was not however, and Sargon didn't think he was at this point it might throw him off enough to slow the barrage of lightning. Even a slight lessening would be enough to allow his blade to absorb it.
