Hawk hadn't been out this way in awhile. He knew few people. Not ones that he trusted. "Not really." Nate smiles softly when he thinks about her. "Yeah. I know someone. We could stay with while we rest. She's lives on Takdonna. Not to far from Maz place." Nate's cheeks redden a little.

Hawk arches an eyebrow. Nate had a girl. Interesting. "Do you trust her?" Nate grins. "Yeah with my life." Hawk nods. "Takdonna it is." Hawk goes to the cockpit to set course.

Kay didn't care where they went, just so long as it was safe and that they could all rest. She raised a brow at the exchange between Hawk and his father. One of these days they'll have to make amends. It just probably would take a while.

She curled up on the floor, using her arm for a pillow, tired now after everything that they had done. "I hope that she has some tea...."

They arrived midday on Takdonna. Hawk was relieved when the shuttle set down on the ground. "We are here." He had received a coded message from his mom that Maddie had made it home. Atleast Nate had kept his word on that. Hawk walked into the shuttle compartment that looked like organized chaos. Nate's friend Sarah was coming to meet them.

Nate used the refresher to clean up a little. He emerge after trimming and brushing his beard and hair. He kept his beard neat and trim. He couldn't wait to see her.

A landspeeder pulled next to the shuttle. A blonde woman appeared. She looked to be in her early 30s. She had amused smile on her face as she waited outside for them.

Kay just raised a brow as Nate got himself trimmed and refreshed. Obviously this was a close friend. She just shrugged her shoulders though. Like father, like son.

She got to her feet and gathered the kids. "Come on. Time to get some proper rest and food. We should be safe here. Once we get a proper transport, we'll take you home."

Hawk helped Kay wrangle the kids down the ramp. Some of the kids were afraid to leave the safety of the shuttle. They needed a little coaxing. Nate saw that Kay and Hawk were busy with the kids. He went outside to greet his friend.

Nate grins lopsided at Sarah. "Hi beautiful. Thanks for helping us with the kids." He says before taking her in his arms and kissing her. He had missed her. Sarah returned his passionate kisses with her own.

Hawk rolls his eyes at the sight of Nate and the woman. He clears his throat. "Guys, we have kids here. No need to retraumazied them."

Kay just smirked, especially as some of the kids were whispering 'Ewwwww' under their breath. Kids usually always found kissing gross, especially when it was your own parents.

"Yes, we really should get to a good place to sleep for the night. And we should contact all of their families, to let them know that they're all okay."

The couple ended their kiss. Sarah cheeks were redden in embarrassment. "Yes. You will stay with me. All of you. It will a bit close but safe."

They all plied into her speeder. Some of the kids had to sit on each other laps. Sarah slides into the driver seat next to Nate. Hawk sat behind with couple of kids on his lap. "Hope it's not too far."

"Not too far. Only ten miles away." Speeder sped off toward Sarah's place.

Kay had kids on her lap too. She wrapped her arms around them, resting her head against one of their backs as she closed her eyes. The wind whipped their hair as they sped off. Ten miles and it'll be a close space. The lady must live in a small space. Well it would certainly be bigger than a shuttle. Kay couldn't wait to have a shower. That sewer smell still hung around them at times.

They arrived to Sarah's cottage. It was two bedroom stone cottage with a white picket fences.. She pulled the speeder outside of it. "I love what you have done with the place. The garden is so beautiful. Peaceful." Says Nate. Sarah smiles knowingly. She wanted to make it place where someone could mediate.

Sarah and Nate helped the kids off of Hawk and Kay. Everyone else climbs out of the speeder and walks inside of Sarah's fenced garden. There was a little stone path leading to the cottage. Hawk walked along the path keeping his comments to himself. It looked like to him that Sarah was trying to get Nate to settle down.

Sarah unlocked the door. she walks in pointing out the features of her place. "Two bedrooms in the back. I have a master bath connected to one and another smaller bathroom with a shower. Please make yourself at home."

Retirement. Was there such a thing for people like them? Kay doubted that she'd ever retire. More than likely she'd be dead before she reached that age. That is if she kept getting herself into trouble.

Kay helped get the kids all settled into the smaller bedroom, a few of them sharing the bed while the others rested on cushions on the floor. But instead of taking a shower like she had wanted, she curled up on the floor, needing a proper sleep more. Kay figured that there was the possibility of her falling asleep in the shower and she didn't want that. So maybe when she woke up she'd get herself refreshed. She closed her eyes, hoping that when she woke up, everything would still be okay.

Sarah busied herself with making soup and sandwich for the kids that couldn't sleep. The kids loved her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Once everyone had rested, she was planning to make them a bigger meal.

Hawk took a quick shower. He couldn't stand the smell any long. He was bone tired after the shower. Some clean clothes were laid out for him. The dirty ones were toss in the wash along with kids clothing. These were his dad...Nate clothes. He was too tired to care about that. He put the clothes on and goes into the family and collapse on the couch. Hawk was asleep before his head hit the pillow.

Nate places a blanket on his son. He tucked in a couple of kids before joining Sarah in the kitchen. She hands him a cup of tea. "So that is your son." Nate smiles. "Yeah. He is. Hawk is a good kid". She laughs softly. "Kid? I'm only a few years older than him." Nate takes a sip of his tea. "Those are important years."

Kay could only nap. That's all that her mind and body would allow. Typical. She got up quietly. Having a shower now would only wake those that were sleeping, and she didn't want to do that.

The smell of tea caught her attention, so she walked over to the kitchen. "Mind if I help myself to some tea?" She figured that the answer would be a yes, but it was better to ask anyways, just in case.

Sarah smiles and pours Kay a cup of tea. "Feel free to help yourself to anything you want in the fridge. The kids love the peanut butter sandwiches. I'm planning on making spagetti for dinner."

Nate finishes his tea. "I'm gonna hit the sack. Wake me for dinner." He kisses Sarah cheek before leaving the girls alone. "I will sweetheart." Sarah says reassuring Nzte. She glances at Kay wondering what she was thinking of their romance. Sarah giggles at the sound of Hawk loud snore.

Kay makes herself some tea, glad that there was some to be had. No sugars or anything was needed. She just had it black. She sat down at the table, still tired in both mind and body as she went over everything that had happened. Some of the children had died, and she could still see their faces. "I think that I will need a long vacation after this." And y that of course, she had meant that she needed to run again and be by herself. It was safer by herself. No one would be hurt or killed.

She sipped her tea once it had cooled enough. "Try not to mind Hawk's behaviour. I don't know what happened between him and Nate, but seeing his Father happy doesn't sit well with him. I'm sure that once he gets home to his daughter, everything will be better."

"Nate explained it to me. Hawk was so little when they divorced." Sarah was going to say more when Hawk walked into the kitchen half asleep. He had a bad dream that woke him. "Coffee.?" Sarah poured him a cup. "Hope it not to strong."" Hawk takes the cup. "Stronger the better."

He takes a sip trying not to make a face. It was much stronger than he was used too. Sarah stifles a laugh at his expression. "Kay we should leave soon. I'm thinking tonight. Nate can stay behind with his girl."

There wasn't a lot that Kay knew of Hawk's past. Even though he had been her friend for a long time, she never pried. Maybe it was because she grew up an orphan and didn't want to get jealous.

She sipped her tea and raised a brow at Hawk wanting to leave so early. None of the kids had contacted their families yet. "Tonight? Um...okay. But we'll need a proper transport." And they all needed a proper rest. But it was clear that he hated this place.

"I can gets us transportation. Won't be a problem." Hawk finishes his coffee in one big gulp. He wipes the back of his hand. "I'm gonna head to Maz's place. Should be able to find someone to help. If no we can "borrow" a ship. Kay, I need you to tag long. The kids will be fine with them."

Hawk wanted Kay there to watch his back. He had to get away from the happy couple. Nate was too old to have a girlfriend at his age.

Kay had no idea how people could quickly drink something so hot. It boggled her. But Hawk was very uncomfortable and she didn't want to make him even more so.

She took one last sip of her tea and then took it over to the sink, setting it in. "Okay, we'll go." Kay looked over to Sarah. "Thanks for watching them. We shouldn't be too long."

The two of them walked outside, "Thanks for coming with me. I just couldn't stay in there any longer. She too young for him. She's my age. I know I should want him happy...but date someone older. You know." He kicks a pebble down the gravel road. "My mom involved with some guy named Peter. He's a doctor. I think it just the age thing that bugging me. "

Kay nodded. She couldn't share the same kind of thoughts that he did. Afterall, she had only been with Shaw, while Hawk had a reputation like do many others. Age was never anything on the top of her mind. "Maybe it's also the fact that both of your parents are happy with other people and you miss having them being happy with eachother? If it's meant to be, then it'll work out for them. If it isn't meant to be, then it won't. Let them make their own mistakes.
