Nate nods. "Night." He tell them as he leaves to get some sleep. Hawk yawns. "I'm gonna look over the ships before turning in." He was tired but couldn't sleep.

"What a mess" he mutters as he looks at the ships.

Kay watched as everyone seemed to have left her. "Yeah...night." She looked to the data receiver and then wondered where she was going to sleep. No doubt Maz had a place for her. So she headed over to her place. Even a chair would be good enough as she could sleep pretty much anywhere. She just had to do a bit of studying first.

Dawn!? Red had been serious. She woke Hawk from a deep slumber by knocking on the ship cockpit. He had fallen asleep in there. He rubs his face. He stands and gets down. He wanted to say goodbye to Kay before they left.

His dad handed him a mug of hot caf. "Have you seen Kay yet?" Ask Hawk. Nate grins. "No I haven't. Good luck today son." Hawk grins, "you too Dad." Hawk says as he continues to look for Kay.

Kay was in Maz's bar, cradling a cup of tea while she once again went over the map, trying to commit it to memory. She had slept the night on a couch in one of the back rooms. She sipped her tea just as Hawk would be let in. There wasn't a lot of people about at this hour, so the noise of someone approaching caused her to turn to look. "Morning. I see that you have your liquid breakfast too."

"And I need it this morning." He finishes his caf. He sets the mug on the table. "Didn't get much sleep last night. Kept having strange "dreams" ". He says in a low voice. He used the word dream for his vision. "They were very stressful. We weren't. successful.. many lives lost. ....dad." He says clearing his throat.

Kay frowned as she heard him talk about his dreams. She knew what that meant. More often than not, they tended to come true. She sighed a little and spoke under her breath. "How did it happen? Was I unable to get the shielding down? Did I get lost?" Of course she would have put herself to blame if their mission had failed. It was her job to enable the others to get through, afterall.

Hawk shakes his head. "No. no. No one got lost. We didn't make it that far. We were in space." He rubs his head. "Can't explain it. Just explosions and death."

Red walks by. "Time to go."

Kay frowned. They didn't even get that far? They were attacked in space? She thought about it for a moment, sipping her tea until Red showed up. "We'll be right behind you."

As she set down her tea and she got to her feet, Kay looked at Hawk straight in the eyes and whispered, "Do you think that someone may have told Prana of our plans?"

"Yes I do " He whispers back to Kay. Time to go to the slaughter. He thought to himself. Maybe this time his vision would be wrain't. If only.

Hawk goes to his ship. It was next Nate. "Dad. ". He said softly. "I'm sorry." Nate turns his head when Hawk says Dad.
It been a long time since his son called him that. Nate raises an eyebrow. Something was up. "There is nothing to forgive, son. We all do what we have to do."

Kay frowned slightly. Who would have told? It wouldn't of been Nate. More than likely it was one of their recent hires, or a spy that overheard it all.

There was worry written all over her face as she approached Nate. "Good luck, Nate. And thanks for everything." She gave him a hug and then headed to her own transport vessel that was bringing her and a few others on ahead. She had to get there before they got close. The shielding needed to go down. Instead of focusing on the task at hand, all that she could think about was Hawk's dream.

After hugging Kay, Nate climb aboard his ship. Something was going on. He wanted to ask them but there wasn't any time. The order came from Red. It was time for lift off.

The small squadron lifted off the ground leading the small transport that Kay and Red were flying in. "Everyone form up. Time to make the jump to lightspeed." It was only a small jump. They would reach Prana in a couple of hours.

Hawk was going to use that time to try figure out his vision ...he had to find away around it. He closes his eyes and begins to mediate about the mission.

Kay stepped into the transport, noting that it was the same one that Red was in. That was a good sign on her part. It meant that she was going to be safe. At least relatively speaking. She took a seat and buckled herself in, worry written on her face as she brought out the datapad and began going through the maps again. At least that was a good cover. She kept her ears open for anything being spoken that would reveal a plot against them. She had her comlink in her pocket, ready to contact Hawk or Nate if she needed to.

More than likely, Red was paid off. But it could just as easily be one of her own crew that was set to betray them all.

They made the jump to hyperspace. In the stillness of hyperspace, Hawk slips into a deep meditation. He was focus on how they were going to betrayed ....who was it...

The Who part was murky...the how .. sabotage.. the wings..the ship.. he jerks coming out of it. The wings ...weapon. Oh my. sithspawn!. He knew how. There were weapons were trigger to exploded when they open their wings to fire.

Kay remained seated, studying the maps and putting in different notes that she could recall from when she was there before. Still, as she kept an ear out, she heard nothing with regards to cutting the mission short. But that didn't mean that she could relax.

She just sat there and waited while committing the maps to memory. Hopefully they were't too far off from what was actually there.

Their small fleets pops out of hyperspace near the planet. They were greeted by Prana armada. "Shields!" Red cried out as the shuttled was rocked by a nearby laser blast. "All ship commerce with the attack." Red orders into the com.

"NO! Don't do that." Hawk yells over the com. It was too late for a few ships exploded when they open their s-foils to attack.

Kay's eyes widened as she saw the fleets through the viewscreens. She held onto the arms of her chair as the transport shuttle was rocked by the attack. "How did they know we were coming?!!" She didn't ask anyone in particular, she just shouted it out loud.

And then the explosions came, as well as Hawk's voice over the coms. Was Nate already dead? She didn't know. All that she could do was watch helplessly while they were under attack.

It just wasn't fair...

"Shuttle do not fire." Called out Nate. He flew underneath them. It was what he thought. They were betrayed. "What now?" Said Nate's wingman. "We have no choice but to retreat". Replied Nate

Red cursed under her breath. They had been betrayed. "He is right. Begin the retreat." Red ordered. "All remaining ships get out of here now."she cries out as another ship is destroyed.

Using his Jedi reflexes Hawk was able to dodged and maneuver in and out of trouble. He did score a hit when two enemy ships collided into each other.

Hawk was on the other side of the battle when a stray proton torpedo was heading to the shuttle that Kay was on. "Nooooo!” Hawk yelled. "Kay,".

Nate flies his x wing straight into the path of the incoming proton torpedo. Sacrificing his life for all those onboard. Nate knew that Hawk would take his death hard but it was the right thing to do. "Good bye son. May the force be with you." Was the last thing that Nate said before the misslw strucks his ship. Blowing it aparts.

Why did they ever think that this was a good idea? And who could have told?? The look on Red's face suggested that she wasn't the one behind it. Kay overheard the chatter, feeling a chill go down her spine as Hawk yelled for her. She grit her teeth and tightened her grip on the armrests. And then came Nate's voice, saying.. goodbye? The explosion rocked the shuttle, almost tossing the thing about as though it was nothing. Hawk's dream had come true. No matter what, they couldn't stop it.

With her eyes brimming with tears, Kay shouted at Red. "Get us out of here now!!" Getting blown up or captured was not an option right now.

Hawk closes his eyes for moments. Then opened them to focus on the here and now. He will mourn later. "Get out of here. I'll cover" he told the shuttle pilot. What was left of their small rag tagged team made the jump to hyperspace. Hawk was the last one to leave the system. Once in the safety of hyperspace, Hawk yelled and howled in his grief.

The jump to hyperspace came swiftly enough. But the problem was in where they would end up. Was there a trap waiting for them again? And who was the womprat? Kay couldn't look at anyone with trusting eyes. Someone was bribed. But the sooner that they were on a planet, the better. It would give them more options.

Kay just kept to herself as she tried to figure it all out. Already she was formulating a plan. No one was going to get paid until the womprat was discovered. Yes, that could work.
