SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Shield System + Extendable Sheets on its arms to protect a patient during transport.
  • Full Medical Suite. Surgical tools, Bacta, Fold down Medical Capsule, and Monitoring Systems.
  • The entire unit folds up. Light and Compact, easy to transport or carry one on your back.
  • ATRS as standard on key systems prevents reverse engineering this model.
STRENGTHS
  • Light and Compact. It can be fully folded. The unit can then be carried by an individual to deploy, or several stacked in a transport.
  • Shield System while working, able to fit roughly four people and the droid inside of it.
  • Independently able to act and stabilize individuals in battlefield conditions, transporting them safely if required within its medical capsule.
  • Very sturdy to blaster fire, and reasonably so to slugs or explosives. The unit will just keep walking, shielding its patient from harm, carried on a bed and often shielded by its own chassis or arms, backed up further by its personal shield generator.
WEAKNESSES
  • Non Combat Unit, won't fire back.
  • People can walk, grapple, punch, or move through the shield easily.
  • Weakness to Ion and EMP. The shield can take an ion shot or discharge maybe, but after that the unit is toast. Lightsabers cut it like butter.
  • Presents an obvious target when stationary, as its shield generator glows purple.
DESCRIPTION

Apex Industrial in continuing to meet the demands of a wartorn galaxy is creating ever more advanced medical units, designed to operate in even harsher battlefield conditions. The FFMSS-1A has been stress tested in combat scenarios to be able to stabilize and retrieve combatants with superior success rates to a human medic.

The unit is rated Superior to a human medic, because taking fire is a secondary concern if the patient is stabilized and recovered. Meaning the FFMSS-1A can wade into the middle of an ongoing battle, raise its shield, stabilize a patient and then do everything it can to transport them to safety or better a field hospital or medical facility. This has applications in everyday life, with certain customers ordering one for every busy city street corner, potentially activated automatically by camera for example if an incident warrants it.

The FFMSS-1A can be considered a non-combat unit as it is not able to carry out offensive operations, though it is sturdy to blaster fire and can shield its patient both physically or energetically, it is not able to fight its way into or out of a combat situation, requiring cover, escort or opportunity to get away. According to market analysts, there is a widening opportunity in the medical sector and so reserves have been funneled to this project for some time, the project taking under five years which is faster than most droid designs at the corporation, a sign of the increased financing given to the project.
