Felucian Green (CC-4277)

Saori sprinted through the clearing, hot on the Acklay's trail. One had rampaged through a nearby encampment in the previous night and was coming dangerously close to her village, and it was up to her to keep it from happening. As guardian, responibilities like this always fell on her shoulders. It made for really fun days. She used her air shaping to glide just above the ground and go faster, also using her earth shaping to move any plants or landforms blocking her way.

Felucia was not really a place I would have picked at first. but I wanted to be left alone. It was not under any real influence, and as such, I wanted a place to live alone away from the war. Dressed in my armor, I had all my gear with me, discarding my ship a few hundred clicks back, I had been hiking for a good day now. I was hardly surviving. Using my pistol to already shoot a few of the native slugs and other weird looking creatures. I even used my blade once against another who was using a bone sword. Now carrying it in my left hand, I continued to move on.

Rumbling was normal here. Rancor were rummaging around and I could easily avoid them. By taking mud and native leaves and other such, I had attached them to the armor and made myself a camo to hide in. It was then that I could feel even more of a rumble, and almost a scream sound. Running, thinking that it was an actual person, I pulled out my blaster rifle and had it at the ready. Once rushing out of the bushes, I saw a rather large four legged beast only known as an Aklay.

OH was I in trouble.

Finally, Saori had a clear view of the beast. She used the wind to make herself rise higher into the air, leveling to its height. Then, she shot a large ball of flame at its hard spinal shell. The Acklay made its signature high-pitched squealing roar and turned around, now coming at her. Saori was quick to act. She summoned vines from the rich soil below her, causing them to wrap tightly around the beast's six pointed legs. Now that it was immobilized she could go to work.

I started to back up and pray to anything that its eyes did not see me. But it was within a second that I could almost hear the sound of the wind suck itself around me and leave. Only for an explosion the size of a small grenade to blast itself as a fireball into the side of the beast. And as vines started to wrap themselves around the feet of the Acklay, I brought my blaster rifle to my shoulder and aimed up to the sky where the fire ball had come from.

In that split second, I saw a woman dressed in all green floating in the air as though the wind was at her control. I crouched down, and could hear the Acklay as it screamed to be let free. I fired one warning shot in her direction, but not quite at her. I would have yelled for her to stop, but as she was far away, and my vocal cords were damaged, I didn't.

Saori felt a blaster bolt whiz past her head. It didn't hit her, but she could smell something strange. She looked down at her shoulder for a moment. The very end of a lock of her wild green hair was cinged and shot off. What?! Who would shoot her hair??!! She looked down at the ground. There, she could see an armored figure holding a gun that was pointed at her. She rolled her eyes, annoyed. Great. First an Acklay, and now a trigger-happy bucket-head. Just what she needed. She reached a hand out to the figure, summoning more vines. They grew and curled around the person's arms and legs, holding them firmly in place. There. Now she wouldn't have someone shooting at her, and she wouldn't have to worry about them going out and getting eaten or something. She turned her attention back to the Acklay. Saori took out her Saber Whip, igniting it. She let out a sort of battle-induced yell and lashed at the beast. The whip was now grasping the Acklay's neck. She began tugging with her weapon and using the wind and the Force to give her more leverage. After thirty minutes of this, she finally let out a loud scream, and yanked with all of her strength. With a short high-pitched shriek, the beast's head separated from its body and fell to the ground. Saori lowered herself down next to it. She fell to her hands and knees, panting and huffing. "Thank.... The stars..... I don't have to......Hunt Acklays every day......"
