BIOGRAPHY:
Child Hood: A Merchants Child

Felix has never called any planet his home. He grew up aboard a bulk freighter flying from one end of the galaxy to the other with his parents. Occasionally he would switch to another freighter of one kind or another to interact with different people and kids, always a relative in one way or another to his parents.

He never had a formal education of any kind, being the son of merchants that had only the single vessel, even if they were part of a familial guild meant he never really attended any kind of classes. He and the other children learned everything they needed to on the job. They learned how to be persuasive in negotiations, how to handle a holdout pistol when they were young until they learned to hold a larger pistol or rifle, never becoming marksmen but skilled in ship board combat. Of course they learned how to look at finances on any trade deal. They even learned a bit of smuggling when honest work was tight.

The one bit of pain in Felixs young life was that he was allergic to Bacta and this would mean that any injuries sustained like the time the cargo net broke and the crate crushed his foot into a pancake and it had to be amputated instead of spending some time in a Bacta cast.

One of the biggest lessons he ever learned from his parents was to always give someone a second chance you never knew when that kindness would come back to you. He would live the next 20 years this way…

Striking out On His Own:

As Felix became a teenager he really started to get a good head for business and was able to bring his family additional wealth by finding small extra jobs that could coincide with current ones. Sometimes it was one or two passengers other times it was transporting a special girt or piece of equipment. On these sorts of jobs he started to get a larger portion of the payout then he would get just being a helping hand on deck or manning a turret during a pirate attack. Eventually one of Felix’s many Uncles suggested that he see about getting his own small freighter and strike out on his own to see how things would go. So at the age of 22 he bought his first freighter with mostly his own money and a small loan from several family members.

The first contract Felix had was a simple one. Transport some tech parts to an Agri world and then run them back to the Tech world. No big thing by any means. But the pride he felt on the completion of his first trip in his own freighter all on his own was almost immeasurable to him.

Several years would pass, Felix would look at the small fortune he was able to amass after he had paid family members back. He had been able to go from an old slow bucket of bolts to a shiny newYT-1300 with a few special modifications.

Those first couple of years on his own were hard on Felixs body, lost his right hand in a bar fight gone bad. Not so terrible as it allowed him to get some enhancements to more directly connect with his ship and pilot it a bit better. That’s what he had thought at the beginning but now with 60% of his body cybernetic at 52 he didn’t think it in the same way anymore.

He was worried though as time had progressed several family members had been lost on the edges of the mid rim as they were forced to go further and further from the core as more corporations wanted to deal with larger trading companies opposed to a loosely familial guild. Including his own parents. He had been lucky with enough contracts that he had been able to hire a little extra muscle for a while well he was in the outer rim but those contracts had dried up and he found himself running more and more smuggling jobs than he liked.

It was one of those smuggling jobs that had landed him in the trouble that changed his life.

Betrayal:

After Finishing up a smuggling run into the depths of Coruscant he came across a young woman. Hardly could be called that the way he had found her. More of a street rat. In serious need of a shower. He had never married or fathered any children that he was aware of. Something inside of him felt a need to help this girl. He had grown cold over the decades of his life and for some reason this young lady warmed his cold heart. He took her in.

Over the next while he showed her how to pilot, how to negotiate for the best deals. How to make it seem you had more than you did. How to smuggle everything he had learned of being a merchant in the last fifty years he taught this young lady.

The two of them watched out for each other during this time and helped each other get out of more than one scrape. Felix found his heart was warming more all the time and he started going out of his way to help the innocent. It felt good to be doing something to help others even if it was small and insignificant.

One fateful night on Castell some dank dangerous world. Business had been wrapped up and he was heading back to the ship. He heard as he saw her at the top of the ramp off to the side a fight had broken out between some thugs and innocent bystanders. He cursed that he didn’t have his shattergun with him and charged the gunman with nothing but his belt jack knife.

“Old man, you should never bring a knife to a blaster fight”, the gunman pulled away from Felix just slightly and was able to get a snap shot off hitting him in the leg. Felix went down like the buildings on fire around him. As he fell into unconsciousness from the shot he could see Ra, sweet Ra in the distance she had seen him fall and was turning and running the opposite way…

When Felix came to he was in a lot of pain. He hadn’t opened his eyes yet but he had a bad feeling he knew why he couldn’t pin point the pain he felt. As he opened his eyes or tried to as only one opened, his fears were confirmed. He was in a cell. A slave cell. They hadn’t bothered tying him up, they had removed his legs his entire left arm and his right arm from the mid bicep down. His cybernetic eye had been removed as well. His head didn’t hurt enough for them to have removed any spinal implants or the cranial ones beyond his eye at least.

Slavery:

Felix was sold as a freak to be put into some rich merchants palace as something to laugh at. They gave him droid parts to make him whole and had him serve drinks and meals to. He was there for five long years. Every day he spent there he nursed his hatred of Ra, why did she leave him behind why did she not try to save him. He had given this young lady everything and she abandoned him when his cybernetic system overloaded . It made his heart grow cold with hate for her.

Those years spent as a slave were not spent completely in vain, for as the merchant trusted that he a slave would not try anything he was given more and more duties to perform. He was the one that helped on the deck when the merchants wine came in from Naboo every Tuesday at 1500. He was the one that talked to the pilot about how terrible a boss the Merchant was. He was the one that talked to all of the other slaves in the house. Over time the pilots that brought goods to the Merchants house started to bring small parts, better parts so that Felix could upgrade the old garbage parts that weren’t even fit for a droid.

One day it was time Felix had been able to hide away one of the little hold out blasters the Merchant had ordered for the household. He never really hated the Merchant this was just the way they had run their life. When the day came he took his little hold out blaster got close to the Merchant and took them hostage. By the time he had made it to the hanger with the Merchant the rest of the house hold slaves were there, they wanted to leave with him. Even a couple of the household guards were there as the Merchant didn’t treat even the staff very well.

They made their escape the ten of them in a YV-865 Aurore Class Freighter. Of course Felix dragged the Merchant along with them. He sold him on Tatooine a couple of days later. Thus starting his slaver, pirate and I don’t care where my next cred comes from career.

The New Life:

The year after his escape his crew had changed significantly from those ten, in fact those ten had been sold by Felix at one time or another either into slavery for the first time or back into slavery. Aboard his ship he had his own couple of slaves in fact. He had done very well for himself. He had been able to convince 4 independent pilots it was a good idea to fly with him. Thus he had 4 starfighter s that accompanied his now very heavily modified YV-865 Annes Revenge. They were capable of docking by hatch for long hyper space trips. He had also managed to “salvage” a small skipray gunboat that he used as a boarding craft with his pirate crew.

At this point he truly was more machine than flesh. He had been able to upgrade his parts he had and as he fought more he tended to lose parts here and there. He would just replace them with more machinery.

Now his wealth just kept growing he had been able to purchase a nice home on a planet that he kept closely guarded. He was able to make more now as a smuggler for all factions. Sometimes it was weapons he would run other times small combat units. Even Jedi and Sith a couple of times. It all meant that he could make more creds. Sure the factions didn’t like that he would prey on their vessels once in a while but they sure did like it when he went after the anyone but them.

Crazy times. Well for most people Felix and his crew just kept growing and making more creds as time keeps passing.

SHIP:
Heavily customized YV-865 Aurore Class Freighter. Docking capabilities for up to 4 fighters and one small assault shuttle.
