Feet Don't Fail Me Now

“Go to them?” She smirked. It was clear that they were teasing eachother, so why not. “I may have a part time job there.” Okay, the thought of that almost made her blush. It was a weird paradox in that she could be around suggestive or sexual situations and not bat an eye, but when applied to herself? That’s when she’d start to get embarrassed.

“You should! It’s so much fun.” Dancing was as natural as breathing to a Zeltron. Just as she was willing herself back into a normal mental state, he asked her to go out with him. Well, to go dancing. But the implication that it was a date stuck out in her mind and she blinked. It wasn’t that Yula had never been approached in this way before—she had, but generally it wasn’t from someone she actually liked. Usually they were her other pink-skinned counterparts trying to play suave or off-worlders thinking that she’d be an easy lay given the color of her skin. Even though Vik was an off-worlder as well, she sensed that he was more genuine. That, or perhaps he was a convincing trickster and she was too naïve.

Either way, the question caught her off guard as she went to reach for her next hold which wasn’t there. Her limbs had already slackened in anticipation of being supported by her hand on a rocky outcrop but it wasn’t there. Her lips parted as if to respond, but her eyes widened at the realization as she didn’t quite tumble down, but rather skidded a few feet down the rocky embankment before catching herself. Her elbows and knees had scraped along the stone and she winced at the burning sensation, but through it there was an odd sort of smile as she steadied herself.

“Alright, I’ll make you a deal.” She spoke after a heavy breath and taking a few moments to re-orient herself. “I’ll go dancing with you if you come swimming, Zeltron style.”

[member="Vik Velkarson"]

It was his turn to turn a bit pink in the cheeks, and he was surprised that there was no rejection for his sudden outburst. He bit his bottom lip as he smiled, but all that was momentary as he looked up only to see her miss step and begin to tumble a bit, luckily she managed to regain her grip and steady herself. The drop down was a good distance now and it would have been most painful if not cause injury if she had fallen. The Gods know he was in no position to be able to help her if she did, than he thought of the force, he is not practiced in the use of it, unlike these people he has come to know of as Jedi or the other ones. He couldn't remember their names.

"Now I know you are joking", he said in regards to her having a part time job in one of those places, and he was pleased for that. Although she did not out right say she would go out with him, she did propose a deal in which he had to accept and did so willingly. "Alright, it is a deal", whatever Zeltron style of swimming was he had no clue, maybe it was some kind of swimming stroke or something, but he supposed he would find out soon enough. Now more than ever he wanted to get up to the top of the cliff.

Finally, they reached the top and Vik scrambled over the edge of the cliff onto the ledge. He stood brushing the clinging dirt from his clothes, not that it worried him much but he wanted to look his best. It was very windy up here, high on the mountains and refreshing .. and salty. Vik's senses peaking to it, and it was mingled with a strange smell of something he did not recognise, he would find out soon enough it was seaweed. "What is that smell?", he asked while turned to her with the question.

He heard it before he saw it. The sound of crashing water on rock, and a hissing as the spray reached into the air. Vik turned to look out over the view and before him lay the ocean, for a far as he could see. A blue green dark with depth and rolling in constant motion in waves that peaked with a white foam. His eyes widened despite himself and he could not believe how big it was, and how beautiful. And .. frigthening.

"Oh ...", he said involuntarily as he gasped. "It is magnificent!". And the power of it immense.

[member="Yula Perl"]

A grin briefly snaked its way onto her face at his agreement to go swimming Zeltron style. A part of her wondered how he would handle it, but they would find out soon enough.

“That’s the ocean.” She answered with a bit of effort as she pulled herself up and onto the cliff. “If you drink the water, and I suggest you don’t, it’s very salty. It gets that way from gathering rock sediment and from the plants that live in it.” She pointed to where the waves broke against an outcrop of stone jutting into the ocean.

Yula ginned again, this time as she saw Vik’s expression. She’d never introduced someone to the ocean before and seeing someone so genuinely taken with it made her happy as well. Closing her eyes, the Zeltron mix took a deep inhale of the ocean air, letting the salty breeze fill her lungs before exhaling slowly. “They say that it helps you breathe easier. A lot of people find the beach relaxing, too. I like it for a different reason.”

That spark was back in her eye again as she looked over the ledge, down at the ocean and along the cliff face that lead back up to where they were standing.

“C’mon, I’ll show you what’s next.” Motioning for him to follow, she pointed to a cliff some ways down from them. Luckily the incline wasn’t very steep and they’d be able to make it down without much difficulty. “This should be far enough.” The ocean beneath them was calmer, still undulating with small waves but nothing like the giants that crashed against eachother further out.

Once she was there, without much thought, Yula began to disrobe down to her underwear.

[member="Vik Velkarson"]

It was difficult to take his eyes off the maw before him but he did as Yula spoke again, "Why do you like it?", he was most curious, but she did not answer and he suspected she was about to show him. He could sense the force as they call it, all around them both and heightened with power through the waves. What creatures lived down there? although each ocean is different on each planet, it was alive with life. It did not take any convincing for him to follow her, he wanted to get closer despite the rush of adrenaline or rather because of it. He could hear the sound of sea avian squawking overhead, fighting among themselves for better positions or stealing of some small morsel of food but he paid them little attention but focused on the climb down to a ledge.

"Far enough for what?", he asked, he was like a kid excited by the adventure he stood prepared to face it. He looked over to her only to see her disrobing and he looked back at the water, mostly to provide her with a sense of modesty but also he realised what she was about to do. "We .. we are going to jump?", he asked with his throat now tight. Regardless of the surprise of the situation he found himself in, he started to take off his clothing kicking his boots off first. But he went all the way, on Midvinter one swims in the cold rivers naked for the bathing, as one never gets their clothing wet or else it will go stiff with freezing. And never dry.

So he turned to her in all his glory, only to find she was still clothed although with bare minimum attire. But even still he did not know were to look, she was a beautiful girl, her physicality was ... desirable.

[member="Yula Perl"]

“Of course we’re going to jump.” Yula smiled wide, taking care to fold her shirt. “I’ve done it many times before. Cliff diving is popular here on Zeltros. You could say that we’re a bit thrill seeking.” She placed her neatly folded shirt on top of her shorts. “It’s really not as dangerous as…”

Having turned towards Vik’s direction, she didn’t expect to see him in his full birthday suit and so she stared for a few moments, eyes roaming perhaps where they shouldn’t before snapping to the side quickly. It wasn’t as if she hadn’t seen a naked man before—this was Zeltros after all—but the context at being alone with a handsome young man in the nude? That was something to blush at. And blush she did. Yula turned away quickly, thankful for the cooling sea breeze on her heated face as she faced the ocean once more. He'd been staring at her too, she now realized, in her own state of undress. Perhaps it wasn't as common for women on Midvinter to routinely strip down into their underwear. Chewing at her bottom lip, she scanned the sea below as if to confirm that this was the safest area to jump into. The water glittered like a jewel as it reflected the sunlight, waves bobbing softly.

To Yula, it was enticing. A swim would surly cool her off from the hike and her…wandering thoughts. There was always that little bit of fear that would pull at her stomach as soon as she made the jump, but that was part of the fun. Still, she had sensed the unease in his voice and understood it.

“Want to go together?” Her head turned, purposely keeping her own eyes glued to his face a she extended a hand towards Vik.

[member="Vik Velkarson"]

He caught a glimpse of her wide eyes and a flush to her blossom pink skin before she snapped her look away. This cause Vik to look down and in that instant realised he had maybe gone that bit too far in his undress, although it was natural to him to do so and had no concerns over his natural state, he did feel somewhat awkward after her response. In physicality he is comfortable in his own skin, however that did not equate to being comfortable in his own mind, that was something to work on in the future, to come to terms with who he is or rather, what he is.

Vik's gaze traveled along the rock surface until finding her feet, and with it he smiled as something deep inside him enjoyed her sudden discomfort. When she spoke, his gaze lifted traveling up her long legs and body and to her out stretched hand.

"Jump?", he grinned, and of course he too had the fear of the unknown building in his gut at the thought of throwing fate to the wind, but it was to exciting to pass up and she was going to be there right by his side. If it was too dangerous he knew she would not be doing this. "No, let us fly", he said thinking the experience would be akin to feeling the wind beneath ones 'wings'. He too was looking to cool down, on a couple of levels for not only to wash away the sweat from the climb but to cool down the excitement of the occasion which if they did not go soon would become physically evident in him.

Vik took her hand in his, her blossom pink skin soft to the touch, as soft as the petals of the cherry and he could not help but wonder if the rest of her felt the same. Shaking his thoughts from his mind, Vik turned to ocean witnessed the rolling waves beneath them and the level of adrenaline rose to the full and his body went rampant. It was Vik that made the move, puffed out his cheeks and burst head long forward until his feet felt nothing beneath them and he held his breath.

[member="Yula Perl"]

“Wh—“ Yula had not expected him to take the initiative and jump first, but she let out an excited shriek all the same as she was pulled along. She must have done something like this a dozen times before but the little nip of instinctive fear in her stomach, the brief feeling of weightlessness never got old.

They went crashing down into the water which was neither chilly nor warm, though it was cool enough to send a brief shock to her system. As she surface, Yula laughed and smoothed out the length of her hair which had come undone from its ponytail with the force of hitting the water. She didn’t mind though, throwing the dark locks over her shoulder and out of her face while floating along the gently rolling waves.

Admittedly, she was surprised that he’d gone at the task with such gusto given how shy he’d seemed at the beginning of her venture. It seemed as though he was beginning to get more comfortable with her, opening up and talking more which she genuinely enjoyed.

“And how was that?” She grinned after he had surface as well. “Do you have anything like this on Midvinter?”

[member="Vik Velkarson"]

He did not really know it, but he had let out a long yell as they both descended to the water and plunged beneath the waves on impact. His hot body reacted to the sudden change in temperature but the chill of the water was more than delightful to his senses, it was revitalising and empowering to him. And for a moment he simply enjoyed the feeling of being beneath the water, with his eyes open and taking in anything he could see. Which wasn't much in way of fish or rock or anything the water was too dark but he did see Yula's legs kicking about and her body slowly rising back up to the surface. Vik used his arms to propel himself upward and well and when he breached the surface, he laughed with all the sense of joy from the experience.

His curly hair matted to his head around his face and the biggest smile greeted her. "That was incredible", he said through his smile, "Can we do it again?". He watched her stretch out and swim among the rolling waves and he did so as well following her. "I suppose there is such a place on Midvinter", he suspected there would be but did not know where, "I guess you will have to come with me and find out". Although jumping into the Great Maw would be a one way trip he believed, it would simply be too cold even for the local people. But there are rivers on Midvinter the likes that he had not seen anywhere, wide and far reaching and then there is the Fjords.

"There is a place on Midvinter, a long and deep river that cuts through the moutains. It is called Nænya Fjord, and it is a place of remarkable beauty". He smiled recalling his visit there in his youth, and he would love to show her one day. Suddenly his head snapped and his Aelvar eyes tried to pierce the water surface, Vik turned on the spot, wandering what was trailing around his body in the water. He looked back at her with questioning eyes.

[member="Yula Perl"]

Yula laughed as she lazily paddled her way through the waves. “Like it that much, did you? Maybe there’s some Zeltron blood in there after all.” She winked once in a playful manner. Even though she was only a quarter blood, Yula shared the same daring and thrill seeking behavior as most Zeltron youth. Perhaps it had something to do with being raised around them, but bold behaviors were not exclusive to the Zeltron people of course.

“I could imagine that cliff diving on your home world would be far colder.” Zeltros was mostly temperate, so extreme heat or cold weren’t particularly common. “Hmm.” Laying on her back, Yula floated among the waves letting her hair spread out into the water. “That sounds lovely.” She agreed, trying to conjure the image of a riving winding its way through the frost covered mountains. “Do you live near it? Maybe we can find a nice cliff and jump into the icy water.”

She caught his inquisitive gaze and it took her a few moments to understand what was going on. “Ah,” She cleared her throat to explain. “There are plants that live on the sea floor. They carry a very dangerous toxin. Should have mentioned that before we jumped in.”

[member="Vik Velkarson"]

"No .. no I don't live near it, we would have to travel", he was still trying to look through the water at what was swaying around him. Her next words however, cause him pause and there was something in those words which made Vik think she was joking. He looked at her to seek confirmation on that point, and a smirk cross his lips. "Really?", he inquired with a sense of disbelief but not enough to throw her any doubt. But for a moment he watched her floating on the water, the sun dancing on her skin within the droplets lapping over her and soaking her little clothing.

"No .. I .. I think it is something else", he said suddenly, and his body jerked as if something was trying to pull him under. "Something has got my leg", he said more urgently as his wide eyes found hers, and without another word, Vik vanished beneath the waters surface, his arms trying to propel himself back up but even they disappeared. A few moments would pass in silence, and Vik did not return.

What was truly happening however, he was at play with her, and swimming under the water toward her. He could just see her legs gently kicking as he moved closer, and he reached out to grasp one of them giving her leg a gentle tug to pull her under with him. His lungs were starting to burn with lack of air and so he broke the surface with a laugh and prepared for the results of his play, he grinned at her with mischief twinkling in his eyes. And his hidden agenda was to get closer to her.

[member="Yula Perl"]

“Hm?” Yula shifted off of her back and was upright in the water again as Vik locked eyes with her. “There shouldn’t…are you sure—!” The Zeltron mix blinked in surprise as Vik disappeared beneath the water, inching closer to where he’d been submerged. They weren’t that far out so it would be rare for a dangerous creature to make their way closer to the shore, but the possibility was still…

Suddenly she felt something grasping at her leg, pulling her underneath the water as well. A brief panic surged through her but whatever had gripped her did not drag her away to the depths of the ocean, but rather held on long enough just for her to spend a few brief moments beneath the waves.

Floating upwards after the harrowing ordeal, Yula broke the surface of the water rather aggressively with intention to spray Vik. “You!” She admonished, face a mixture of displeasure with laughter breaking through. “It’s impolite to give me a heart attack, did you know that?” For good measure, she made sure to splash him again.

[member="Vik Velkarson"]

"I'm sorry", well he was and he wasn't and as he was splashed again, he laughed despite her somewhat angry response. He ran his fingers through his hair to push it back off his face and wiped the salty water from his eyes, and as much as he would have liked to continue to mess about with her, he knew he would be pushing is luck, so he didn't. The day had turned out so lovely and unexpected after he had met Yula at the front desk of the hostel, that it was infectious and the water was wonderfully cooling to the blood. "I shall make it up to you, when we head back to the hostel". There was a flush on his cheeks through her laughter and being a little upset with him, a little bit more pink and with her dark hair wet and clinging to her head and the end fanning out in the water, he had never seen anything quite so beautiful.

He could not tell how long they had been out in the wilds, nor swimming but his gaze looked up and took in the dulling light of the day, that certain fading that indicated that the day was marching on. Mid afternoon maybe, but they had been enjoying the day and each others company to pay attention to that fact. He did not mention it, but rather preferred to stay here or when the time came, to find shelter somewhere.

Vik swam over to her, a little closer, "One day I will take you to Midvinter and we will jump into the icy river", he said reaching toward her shoulder, "and yes, it would be far colder", his finger took hold of her garment strap that had fallen down her arm in the play, "and although I never jumped into it, I would with you". He placed the strap back on her shoulder.

[member="Yula Perl"]

Yula couldn’t help but grin at his apology. “Make it up to me? And how exactly do you plan to do that?” Her voice held a slight haughty tone in jest as she teased him.

As he moved closer to her, Yula kept a keen eye on him, lips tilted in a little smirk. Though his finger brushing against her shoulder did cause her skin to prickle in the most delightful way, the Zeltron mix suppressed a shudder at the contact. “Oh? Are you trying to seduce me now, Vik?”

Her grin grew a little wider, a little more wry. “You know, my mother warned me about men like you.” Kind of hard to assume things when you were practically skinny dipping with someone, but that was the fun of it. She reached out and pressed the tip of her finger to his nose for a few brief seconds. “About strange men offering to spirit me away into an icy river.”

She tilted her head back and laughed, using her arms and legs beneath the water to propel slightly away from him and towards the shore. “Come on, let’s go dry out on the beach. If we stay in the water all day we’ll turn into prunes.”

[member="Vik Velkarson"]

"Well I guess you will have to see when we get back", he grinned, and had already thought of an idea for it. It was his turn to push away in the water and glide on his back to enjoy the feeling of it on his skin. But the idea of him seducing her, or anyone for that matter, was strange to him and now it was his turn to blush. Yula reached out and bopped him on the nose to make matters worse.

"Your mother warned you of this?", he asked now coming back to some sort of normality. "It happens often?". She laughed at him, which he was delighted to see and promptly followed her to the shore. Of course the only problem with this, was his clothes were not there, unless she meant to climb back to where they had jumped from. He would follow her lead regardless.

"I am not sure we will make it back to the hostel before night fall", he said pulling himself out of the water, but the weather would not turn like on his home world and would remain temperate. "I guess will have to spend the night under the stars". Which was a pleasant thought, he had done so many times on Midvinter, but generally had prepared for such a thing.

[member="Yula Perl"]

“Oh, a surprise.” Her grin turned a little more wry. “It had better be something good. You certainly are building it up!” She couldn’t help but tease him, even more so given how he’d faked being pulled to the depths of the ocean by an unseen force only to scare her.

It was rather natural for her, though. Despite some awkwardness and embarrassment over certain topics, Yula wasn’t particularly shy. Most Zeltrons weren’t, if she could even call herself that.

“On a planet like this?” She laughed shortly and shook her head. “Of course it does. This is Zeltros.” Now out of the water, Yula began to make her way up the cliff for the rest of their clothes—or all of Vik’s, as it were. Luckily the slope was at a much wider angle, so the climb was do-able once she wrung most of the moisture from her body. “A lot of tourists are drunk idiots here for vacation and see Zeltron women—and sometimes men—as part of their fun. That’s why you see so many brothels and clubs, even restaurants with scantily clad waitresses.” She called over to him while ascending the rocky face.

Once they reached their clothes, Yula began dressing. “A lot of natives make their money that way, through tourism. My grandmother and mother did. Mom still does.” One Zeltros, the pretense of certain careers being shameful was essentially dropped. Not entirely, but enough. Fitting her shirt over her head, Yula felt that grin sneaking onto her face again. “Though I don’t think I’m good at taking her advice if I just swam nearly nude in the ocean with a naked man, alone.”

In retrospect, was it a good decision? Yula was adventurous and tended to test her limits, sometimes with poor choices. Her empathetic abilities helped somewhat, allowing her to get a sense for a person’s intentions. Still, she was rather young and could be fooled by someone particularly cunning.

Her head tilted up towards the sky, making note of the waning light as she smoothed her wet hair behind her and hastily knotted it over her shoulder. “Traveling on terrain like this in the dark would be risky.” Yula wasn’t opposed to spending the night in the outdoors either. “How does camping on the beach sound?”

[member="Vik Velkarson"]

He could not help but laugh at her teasing, his idea to spend more time with her was simple enough but he hoped she would enjoy it and once back at the hostel he will set the plan in motion.

Through tourism, was an interesting way of putting it as she talked about life on Zeltros. But Vik was not one to judge people for what they do, or for the circumstances in which they came about working in such places. There is always two sides to a story, just as there is two sides to a coin and he was living proof of that. He had to admit to himself, he was pleased that Yula had not gone down that path. He could not imagine himself in such a place after all it was not only the women that worked in the brothels and clubs and such he had far too much pride to bend to the will of others in pleasurable establishments. And that had everything to do with his father's part in his creation. It was inherent.

At the mention of him naked again, Vik looked down with a grin as he gathered his clothing. "There is nothing more exhilarating to the soul and body in the freedom of your own skin .. maybe next time you might .. join me". He shot her a twinkling gaze as she pulled her top over her head and just for that brief moment, he had the freedom of taking her physicality in again, and her undergarments still damp and clinging to her form. His forced shyness as a child and into adulthood had gone since the cures was lifted from him by his father. Vik dressed as far as his trousers and shirt, as the temperate climate of Zeltros began to warm him from the cool swim, he is more acute to this coming from a place in which below zero is the norm.

Vik never felt the sand in his toes, so the idea was appealing to camp there for the night and so as they started toward the beach, he felt that wave of excitement running through him again. "Different stars", he suddenly said as he looked to the growing night as the sun dipped below cliffs behind them. "You must tell me all their names".

[member="Yula Perl"]

“Ah…see, now you’re trying to get me naked as well?” She tisked while smoothing her shirt out over her stomach. She hadn’t expected to spend the night camping, but it wasn’t particularly a problem with her. Yula wasn’t fussy about accommodations and had slept on the floor of starport more than once.

Her head tilted towards the sky, watching the last vestiges of light softly die behind the horizon. “All of them, huh?” Yula bit her lip briefly as she didn’t know all of their names—maybe at one time she did—but she knew the major ones. Hopefully. Most of what she’d learned of astronomy in school she’d forgotten, and the stars were near impossible to see in the city lights. As a pilot, she knew enough of what she needed to know to help guide her. More often than not her navigation sensors would…not work correctly and she had to rely on older methods of getting around.

They made their way back down to the beach by now; though the decent was easy it was best to do it with what little light they had left. “Let’s see…oh, that one.” She pointed towards the western half of the sky. “You see it? It’s the big one in the center of the…four little ones. They’re almost forming a box and the big one’s in the middle.” Her outstretched finger traced the imaginary lines of the box, the little stars she’d described forming each corner.

“That’s Veizi 6, but we just call it Veizi. Pilots call it the star that guides us to Hydrian Way.” She waved her hand over to the western half, picking out a bright spot towards the horizon. “Over there is Umalni. See? It has three smaller dots clustered to the left side of it. Umalni puts us on the right path to the Mara Corridor.”

She half turned to him, smile a little wry. “Yeah, there’s a pattern here.”

[member="Vik Velkarson"]

It was warm and it felt strange to his feet, sand, yet there was something wonderful about it. The tiniest pieces of glass and shell and rock in powder form and he reached down to scoop up a handful only to have it run through his fingers. For a moment he just enjoyed this, never having touched it before this day, it smelled like the sea which was a pleasant odour to him. The beach was a rather lovely place, the sound of the waves crashing continuously was soothing, the hissing as the water came up upon the shore and vanish in the sand and along the beach line all manner of flotsam lay discarded.

Night was upon them, and the star began to litter the sky in numbers too great to contemplate, let alone name. Vik smiled as Yula tried though, and tried his best to follow where she pointed. He could see some of the formations and committed the names to memory. "Well maybe not all of them", he chuckled looking over the entire nights sky before turning his head to watch her gaze over them with her hair gently flowing in the wind.

The walk, the climb, the swim, all this had made him hungry and tired and they would have to find a place on which to sleep. He looked around everything looked the same apart from the end of the beach where the rocky cliff met the water, that might provide them with a form of shelter from the wind in the night. "Shall we make for there?", he pointed to it. And whatever he had in his backpack he would share with her, at least they would not go hungry, and along the way to the spot he gathered what dry wood he could find that the ocean had set upon the shore.

A small fire would set the day off nicely.

[member="Yula Perl"]

Yula squinted into the distance, spying what appeared to be a little shallow alcove made from rock near the breakwater. It wasn’t exactly a cave but it was shielded on both sides by rock, enough to be a technical roof over their heads for the night.

As they settled into their makeshift campsite, Yula helped arrange the firewood. With a gleam in her eyes, she reached forward with one hand and produced a little flickering flame from her outstretched palm. The fire leapt from pink skin to the wood and the kindling slowly started to burn, setting of a thin wisp of dark smoke. “Trick from my mother.” She grinned. Pyrokinesis for her often came in handy while she was out and about. Whether it came to lighting campfires or keeping her caf warm.

Yula raised her knees to her chest and hugged them as she stared at the fire, suddenly feeling the fatigue from their day sink into her muscles. For a few moments she fell quiet then asked him suddenly.

“Do you know about the Force?” Her voice was light with curiosity, eyes tracking slowly from the flames and over to Vik. While it was common knowledge to some, she didn’t know if the concept existed on Midvinter.

[member="Vik Velkarson"]

He sat down next to Yula, leaning his back against the wall of rock that would be their shelter for the night, although the night breeze would still find them it was refreshing not at all cold or harsh in any way, but it is always nice to sense a roof over your head even if it is makeshift. Vik pulled his backpack to him, untied the straps and gathered what food he had with him, he used the pack as a table once all he had was placed upon it. There was not a great deal of food but enough to get them through the night without pain of hunger keeping them awake.

Vik handed her a piece of bread, and unwrapped a small cloth to reveal some hard cheese, his hiking knife would do the trick to cut it. As he worked he watched her hand reach toward the fire wood and he sense her pull on the force before the power from her ignited the wood and soon enough they would be warm. "That is a good trick to have". There was no surprise in Vik, to her show of what would be considered a gift. He had his own tricks of course, but at the moment, they are not required in their present circumstances.

"The Aelvar, which is what I am, called it Frostvatn and since I left home I have come to know that everyone else calls it the force". He reached for his knife once more but this time he used his gift to make it come to him, showing Yula he was attuned as well. "All Aelvar on Midvinter are attuned to the Frostvatn, it is natural in us", which was true considering that a force nexus was the reason for it, located in the heart of the frozen lake.

"Not everyone is though are they?", he asked her, since his travels he noticed more than most, people are not attuned it is only present in a chosen few.
