Fear Comes for All

Well, it wasn't the nicest or most populated Jedi chapter house in the galaxy, but Taeli had felt it would serve nicely for the purposes today. A few Padawans and Knights were going about their duties while she worked away in the temporary office she had requested. With the war between the GA and First Order, temporarily she suspected, over, she had traveled to Aleen to study the aftereffects of the events that took place when the GA arrived.

Her apprentice had unleashed several of a new breed of Sithspawn to test in the caverns below and in an attack on the very seal that this chapter house had been designed to protect. The test had been moderately successful, even if that had meant dealing with that irritating little witch that ran Ringovinda Systems. The Great Seal had been damaged and hastily repaired, and a great deal of damage had been dealt to the population of the tree people below. No one had noticed when a few of the Kindalo had vanished without a trace, off to suffer a worse fate than those that had died. Such was the price of progress.

"Master Raaf, the recordings of the attack on the palace as you requested," one of the Knights at the place said, handing her a few datadisks. "Do you think the Sith will be coming back to here to cause more trouble?"

She took on an expression of resignation as she looked at the young Twi'lek. He had just been promoted to Knight, such a shame.

"I highly doubt the Sith would ever come back to this world," she said. "But, it never pays to be unprepared."

If only he knew what she had sensed was coming.

Find Her.

Make. Her. Mine.

The iron voice of the Dark Lord yet lingered within the Sith's mind. His cold dominance demanded submission by all those touched by the Darkness...regardless with how deeply some flirted with the Light. In the wake of his former regime, the legendary One Sith, a number of Sith had faded into obscurity. Some were rumored to be dead, whilst others found themselves ensnared by the Jedi. These unfortunate souls were "redeemed" and "liberated" from their dark purpose. But the Dark Lord had a vision: one that would see all Light trampled underfoot. And that glorious purpose required a great reclamation of all those who had been poisoned by the Jedi's lies. Thus had Darth Metus descended upon the world, intent on obeying his Dark Lord.

[member="Taeli Raaf"] was his Mark.

The information provided to him was very basic. So too was his task. The Sith Lord was to reform this now-Jedi...or return with her head.

Overhead, an unremarkable shuttle lazily flew. Its trajectory was over the Jedi Chapter House. Not landing in front of it. Not landing beside it. Not landing near it. Instead, it dipped low whilst a mechanical din erupted from within. Rusted servos and ancient mechanisms worked in tandem to see the rearmost door open; and within it's path stood the Sith Lord. Slashed in black and armed with only a saber did Darth Metus step forward. His offhand braced upon the side of the vessel's frame before the whole of his person took the plunge. His landing was hard, but with the assistance of Darkness, he came to a halt above his Mark.

Snap. Hiss.

His crimson blade erupted into being.

Defect strokes saw a fiery X marked upon the roof, which was then promptly shattered by his wrath. A telekinetic blast shrieked from his hand, causing a thunderous boom to crash down upon the Chapter House. The assault had begun. Down did he dive into his opening, plummeting to the base level where the Darkness saved him from the wrath of gravity. He landed and sank low, bending at the knees due to the sheer momentum. As he did, sulphuric eyes swept the space, hunting for the face of the target. There. Ascension gripped him thus, as words hissed from behind clenched teeth.

"I have come for..."

His saber raised, indicating the woman clearly.

Y O U

She sensed him long before the Knight with her did, more is the shame for him. She was rather disappointed that the Knight had no clue that a powerful dark presence was rapidly approaching above them. It was only when, right at the end, did the Knight sense the Sith... but it was far too late. Taeli was rising from her seat as the Sith Lord, armored and wielding the ever present crimson saber, broke through the roof. Rubble crushed the poor Knight under its weight, the first kill of the day it would seem. Time to play the part.

"Then come and get me," she responded as she was meant to say. Light of amethyst ignited to life in her hand, the saber coming up into a guard position. The few other Padawans and Knights here at the chapter house would likely be either in a panic or racing to assist her now that a Sith Lord had arrived. She had to make this look good for security purposes... and unfortunately that likely meant a lot of pain on her part. There was still some need for cover to remain intact.

He was a Lord she was unfamiliar with in person, but if she knew he was, she could likely tell you some stories she had heard of the man known as [member="Darth Metus"]. A blast of telekinetic energy would leave her hand to force him out of the office and into the corridor beyond if it connected.
