Description: As war continues to progress, and as major factions improve, Krayzen Dratos decided the One Sith needed to step up its starfighter game. As it continues to expand, it will need to rely more on its navy for power-projection, as well as to maintain naval supremacy in naval contests. Taking into insparations designs like the A-Wing, which featured sensor jammers, Krayzen decided to create the One Sith's first Electronic Warfare starfighter.

While the starfighter is lightly armed, one of its most significant weaknesses, it makes up for it with its Electronic Warfare Suite, something that is new among One Sith designs. The jamming projector can disrupt the systems of a targeted starfighter, the tactical sensor jammer can jamm the enenmy's communications, etc. Lastly, the dedicated energy receptor is a passive sensor, capable of being able to detect electro magnetic transmissions in its surroundings.

As stated before, the starfighter is lightly armmed, requiring an escort; moreover,it doesn't have a hyperdrive. Nevertheless, it is a good starfighter, and performs its roll well.

The 220-SIG is a massive device that's several times larger than an A-wing. For a starfighter-sized package, I'd recommend a 4x-Phantom sensor jammer.





These two things together are a bit much, since both are higher than an average interceptor's:

We have two options:

Option A: Keep squadron count at 17, but increase speed or maneuverability to 2.

Option B: Keep speed and maneuverability of 1, but move squadron size down to 12.
 
This isn't me being aggressive(considering that there are tons of posts that are like this), but I based my stuff of this I also did some other edits.

This approved submission has the same sensor jammer that I have.

I did option A. I also added another shield generator.

So I see. There's a good chance that that submission will be reported if it actually attempts to use the full measure of the 220-SIG's power. The reason for this is scale. While we frequently reference wookieepedia since it's easily accessible for everyone, it does not always have the full amount of detail about pieces of technology. In this case, the article doesn't mention that the focusing dish for the 220-SIG is over 30 meters in diameter and over 40 meters tall. You can see this and read about its power in Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology on pages 128 and 129. There is also this page that references that the scale of this device is capital ship only.

I don't have an issue with this starfighter having a sensor jammer that produces the same general effects as a 220-SIG, but I don't want to potentially read about a single starfighter jamming the entire sensor and targeting systems of a star destroyer. That's why I recommended the Miradyne 4-x, which provides the same effects but on a starfighter and small capital ship scale.

For clarification, I meant that you could have:

1) Speed Rating: 1 & maneuverability Rating: 2

or

2) Speed Rating: 2 & maneuverability Rating: 1

They don't both have to have a rating of 2.

I don't see the shield generator (aside from standard deflector shield generator).

Edited; I added the other 4X Phantom jammer.

Also chose the latter option that you did, and made speed 2, while the maneuverability 1.

I meant that I had one Military grade shield generator, and I changed it to generators, therefore adding another one.

What effect are you trying to go for? Stronger defenses or redundancy?

This will probably require some development since it already has advanced armors.

I assumed redundancy, and stronger defenses go hand in hand cause of the Mon Cala ships.

[member="Krayzen Dratos"], go ahead and put the development thread link under the "Development Thread" heading at the bottom on the post.

Just to make things more clear, put something like "Redundant Shield Generators" in the special features list. With that feature, go ahead and raise your defense rating to "12".

As far as the SLAM is concerned, that combined with the higher squadron size, redundant shield generators, and high flight performance is pushing this close to the point where I'd be worried about balance.

Since this is already moving at a speed of 2, the exact length of the development thread would be dependent on what performance you're looking to get out of the system. If we're talking about something like moving it up to speed 1 for a little bit of time as a temporary boost, we're probably looking at 15 posts for mass production, or 10 posts if production moves to minor.

If we're talking about moving the starfighter at speeds faster than 1 for any amount of time, it's going to be an very lengthy development thread combined with a lower production amount.

This might be my fault in needing to be more clear. The SLAM would be an additional 15 posts on top of the 10 posts you've already done (not 15 posts total for the SLAM and redundant shielding).

If you'd like though, we could have those 5 posts go towards a minor upgrade (like a cap drain) or some other minor boost if you're not up for more development.

Yeah, I'll take the cap drain. I was actually about to suggest that if it wasn't sufficient enough. If I however was able to do 15 posts in another thread, I can apply to the starship modification thread to have the SLAM included right?

You can always apply to make changes to this sub at the starship modification thread.
