Far from home (Spencer Jacobs)

@[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

Arthur breathed in and let out a long breath, he was far from home and as such dressed in armor with robes that he had taken to wearing in model of the Sith and Jedi that he had studied up on. Today he had come to meet one Spence Jacobs, a high ranking member of the Lords of the Fringe, and he was worried that a thousand different outcomes would occur. At his waist, hidden by the robes, was a longsword that could be ionized to hold off the energy of a saber for a few blows but afterwards would act like a vibrosword, and a lightsaber he had borrowed which hung near the small of his back out of sight. Now he stood here though, lost and confused hoping the woman he was suppose to meet was nearby.

((I'm going to place us on Annaj))

Spencer had received notice of someone wanting to meet with her a few days ago. She had accepted it which caused a bit of confusion within the ranks of the Fringe. The woman was known to keep her privacy and remain rather secretive. Something had changed with her though, she was open to guests and even had begun training again. There was a notice letting her know that her guest had arrived and standing she wrapped a Jedi Tunic around her frame and headed towards the gates of the building where the boy was waiting.

Light footsteps echoed softly as she wandered down to see the boy who was wearing armor. Tilting her head she smiled and extended her hand outward.”Hello, you look like you’re more prepared for battle than a meeting” There was a calm about the woman and her hazel eyes never left the armored figure. Once more a soft smile and a hand wave, she welcomed him into the building.

“Why did you seek me out? What could I provide to you?” She asked quietly as she lead him back into the building on Annaj.

"I apologize for my attire, i am still new to the whole of the Galaxy and im not too trusting of your people or anyone else that i come into contact with... i apologize again incase that sounds offensive in anyway, not used to the living out in the stars and the cultures either." He shifted and pulled the robes tight and his hood around his head to hide the armor as best that he could, trying to rectify that problem that she had just presented him. "Seeking you out and you providing something is two different things in my mind miss, but to answer you is simply i am trying to move about the universe and find out more about the other governments that are prevalent in the Galaxy like yours and that of the CIS and the Republic..." He paused and thought over what he just said before speaking again. "That made no sense did it..." @[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

Spencer only smiled. The boy was a wanderer like she had been learning everything he could about the different parts of the galaxy. She couldn't help but feel sympathetic to his cause and didn't question him any further about it. Instead, she waved her arm and made her way up the stairs back into the building on Annaj she had come out of. As she moved, she spoke to him and held her hands behind her back like a school girl. " Exploring the galaxy finding out about other governments. Any particular reason besides the thirst for knowledge?"

Looking over her shoulder she nodded and smiled wider. "I've been where you are right now, don't worry about making sense - I'm pretty good at reading intentions. Anyways, what questions do you have about the Fringe Confederacy?" @[member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

"Well, there is an alternative reason actually, you see im uh..." He laughed a bit and smiled before speaking clearly with alittle less sound though. "Well, im a king, i am moving about the galaxy learning of the other nations and government so that i can form my own opinions. You see the reason im doing it now is my people are newcomers to the galaxy, we have just acquired hyper-drive technology a few months back and have such time i have talked to a Fel and have several outsider influences here. My planet is no where near your space so its not really prudent i learn about your nation but i find it as a necessity to know about those in this galaxy... that makes sense right?"

He himself crossed his hands behind him as he walked too, it was for him a habit, not one that was taught but it just felt natural to him. "My main questions are on the restrictions of your government, your policies of expansion, your views on... crap uh force, ya the force, and lastly your relations with the other major players in the political atmosphere of the Galaxy." It was funny for him to mention the force, his people had always thought those born with it were given a godly gift, they had even even called it a different name but to adapt to the universe he would need to use the greater universe's terminology. @[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

Spencer continued to lead the King through the building of Annaj, she listened to what he had to say. When they arrived to her office she sat down and offered him a seat as well. He finished speaking and Spencer nodded understanding his desires and goals for his adventures. A hand rested against her chin as she did her best to think of a good answer for the King. She had never been in the presence of one, so she did her best to hide her excitement. Spencer leaned back in her chair for a moment and then brushed aside her blonde hair from her face.

"Well I welcome you to Annaj and to the Fringe Confederacy your Highness. You are welcomed to stay as long as you wish. To answer your questions, for the restrictions on our government I'm not fully aware of any besides the fact that we are as diplomatic as possible. We value our people and their desires for their well being. Expansion we do our best to remain non-violent or when we do proceed to violence we are only doing it to liberate a planet from Pirates or other oppressors. We accept the planet into our sphere of influence, but they also remain their own planet unless it is needed we help rebuild their government. Force users are always valued and taught - we also have an academy for non force users to train and become strong and apart of the Fringe Military. The other major players in the galaxy we have our treaties and seize fires. As much as I wish to go into detail with our politics I fear I cannot do that without revealing some Fringe only knowledge."

"I see, well its good that your people's freedoms are preserved, very little of that is truly seen in this universe and i struggle myself with trying to change things on my own home, before i... ascended Slavery was a major part of my people's culture and i struggle to keep it from continuing. Also, please dont call me highness or anything like that, my name is Arthur Hardrada, and it has been sense the day i was born, i was never called your highness before i took the throne and i dont need every soul in the galaxy calling me it now, that title has nothing but blood and terror to go along with it. And i also understand the need to keep things under tight leash, no need for secrets to get out else everyone would know everything, please dont take that the wrong way." He smiled and showed about as much posture as a bow, leaning forward in the chair and resting his chin on his clasped hands. "All in all it seems like an exciting place." @[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

Spencer nodded and accepted his requests, words that showed class or wealth was usually a death sentence.

"Annaj is pretty nice, I was happy when we chose it to be our capital. When the Fringe first started, it was a man I knew as RC 212, Ashin Varanin and myself. Of course Ashin and I with our pasts used different identities, but when it got a point that there was no reason to hide any long we both came out as ourselves. The Unknown Region has been my wife's home and she was longing to return to it and in a way civilize it. What people in the inner rim and mid rim don't realize is, we are their first line of defense against anything out here. With out us constantly fighting and protecting our way of life, the Republic and the rest of the galaxy would be in danger. Now I'm not saying they owe us something, but I do hope that if and when they decide to attack again - they think of that."

Chuckling softly, Spencer kept her pleasant smile across her face. "We're trained to fight monsters and I'd like to keep it that way. So tell me a little about your homeworld @[member="Arthur David Hardrada"]"

"Well it isnt much to talk about, my people have lived upon it for thousands of years, there is the fact though that we were not the first there, a secret well kept by my forefathers. We were once uh... what is it called... Coellians? Anyways something happened many thousands upon thousands of years ago in such fashion that we largely forgot our ancestry and the greater galaxy before turning Iferetes into our homeworld. The planet itself it largely forested and mountainous with a single massive landmass, a single continent that is with chains of islands ever so often. Its normally what would be considered freezing temperatures to most people and that is something that we've adapted too, there is on average a foot to two feet of snow all year long resting upon the ground. The Largest and most central forest is sacred to my people, and its inhabitants both Sentient and not, those of sentience being of avian and canine nature... uh im rambling sorry." She smiled and looked at the ceiling for a moment before continuing. He had messed up the word Corellians but didnt know that due to the whole fact of not really learning of their name nor speaking to a single one in the past. "And the atmosphere creates beautiful auroras and stars fill the night sky, millions upon millions even when it is in the midst of a light snowfall when out in the forest i spoke of..." @[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

She listened seeing everything he spoke of in front of her, his passion for his home was refreshing. People were always the type to quickly claim where they came from, but they lacked that passion that really set in when someone spoke of home. She wished she could say the same about Dathomir, she missed the clans and the way of life, but she was banished for the rest of her life. This meant that she was stuck writing letters to her mother, until TiCira or one of the other Elders find a reason to stop the letters as well.

Spencer didn’t understand really, her mother was Clan Mother why did the others have more control. Deciding not to think about things like that, especially when she had a guest, Spencer nodded. “Sounds like a really amazing place to visit, like a tamer version of Hoth. I remember once I was stranded there with one of the Jedi I was working with. Was horrible and not a pleasant experience.” Spencer proceeded with the conversation and she tilted her head slightly in curiosity. “Meeting with me today, did you wish to join under the Fringe? Or was today just about feeling out the other groups?” @[member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

Arthur thought over what she said about hoth and his planet seeming tamer, maybe the weather but find yourself alone in the Silent Vale without a proper companion or someone that knows the area and the wildlife and you would likely be dead by weeks end. "Thank you, and ive read about this Hoth, seems like a... fun place to be when you want to freeze off your ears and nose then comeback looking like the dead..." His soft tone and smile made the statement sound somewhat weird and the moment he noticed he laughed and rubbed his neck.

"Sorry i have a habit of an odd sense of humor, im not completely normal and all, comes with being part of my family, only thankfully im alittle sane and kind unlike my formers. As for your question of me being here i must apologize but i dont think me joining the Fringe would be my purpose now or in the far future, just because of the location of your peoples being too far from my home. No i am here to just explore and understand the others in the galaxy, you cant just be ignorant to the others that live in the same universe that you do. Where do you come from, are you from one of your fringe planets?" @[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

Spencer nodded understanding what he meant. The woman sighed softly and played with the ends of her blonde hair. He was starting to poke at her personal experiences which was okay for now of course. "I'm from Dathomir, my mother raised me there till I was 7 and then I made my home on Coruscant. My wife is from the Unknown Region and has always held it closed to her heart. That is why we live here and fend off the monsters" Spencer smiled as she spoke of their on going war with the creatures of the Unknown Region. Though when she thought about it, she preferred to fight them over the monsters in the other factions. [member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

Arthur nodded and looked at the wall as he thought over what she had meant by monsters of the unknown regions. "What persay are these monsters like, i sorry if im knocked off topic by my own curiosity but considering the own dangers on my home i have a feeling i should know more about the dangers of the unknown regions to best keep my people safe."
