Intent: To create a specialized and unique arrow type for Tonas Varl to hunt the tougher foes he finds.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Tonas Varl
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Tonas Varl
Modularity: None.
Production: Semi-unique (A few in the quiver and the ability to replace them in between threads)
Material: Wood, feathers, alusteel.
Description:

Created as both a last-ditch weapon and a go-to choice for the biggest and heaviest armored prey Varl finds, the arrows are unique to the Tunroth and to him alone. They are simple, but robustly made wooden arrows with feather fletchings and are designed to be fired from a Klirun, a type of heavy bow native to the Tunroth Hunters. The arrowhead, however, is where the similarity ends.

The arrowhead is a standard design, but the edge is monomolecularly sharpened alusteel. The individual arrows are tipped to prevent damage to the quiver while stored, but function like normal arrows otherwise. The arrows, when fired, function normally, but are capable of punching through all but the heaviest armor plate. It falls upon the hunter to aim precisely in such situations in order to find the gaps and weakpoints in the enemy armor.

The downsides are fairly simple. The arrow has a limited range standard to the bows it is fired from. The arrow itself can harm an unwary user if they're incautious with handling the tip. The arrows are difficult to recover as the nature of the sharpened head means that it oftimes shatters after penetrating the target. Lastly, a glancing blow can shatter the arrowhead, meaning that care must be taken in placing shots as only a solid hit will wound or kill the target.
