Nemene moved quickly through the jungles of Felucia, her boots stomping on branches and veins as she bounded from tree branch to tree branch. There was almost a hint of panic in her eyes as she suddenly stopped and perched herself on top of a tall winding tree. She looked around like a hawk searching for prey, but this time it was not she who was the predator.

She was being hunted.

In truth the Queen of Rattatak had absolutely no idea who was hunting her, but she knew for sure that someone was. A blaster shot there, an explosion here, and the feeling of the force pressing against her skull. Someone was on her tail, someone who wanted her dead. She had no idea who they were, there were many possibilities after all.

The Jedi could finally have grown a spine, The members of the Fringe could want the new Rattatak for themselves, or perhaps it was one of her subjects, finally fed up with the gladiatorial games in the Cauldron.

There were many possibilities, too many to list truthfully.

Her eyes shifted slightly, then stopped when they caught movement within the vines. Within seconds her saber-staff found its way into her palm, the cold metal hilt sending goosebumps up her arm. Nemene watched, and waited.

It was by complete accident that Mia had picked up the trail, but once she was on it she couldn't deny the scent. She remembered Corellia like it was yesterday, saw it now in better clarity than she had back then. Moridin had left an impression on the force sensitive, an impression she was blind to until now. She couldn't deny that the aura of this person was so similar that the could only be placed in their family. She was so hungry for sith blood, for the blood of those who had done her and her people so wrong that she didn't stop to ask questions, she just attacked.

She moved faster without her armour, her steps were lighter. Her prey had gone up and so she followed, up the vines and onto the branch. She paused for a moment dark eyes blazing with hatred. "Stop running, dar'jetii."

Nemene waited, and when the womans voice rang out she grinned. Instantly her lightsaber sprang to life, both emitters jumping to life with a snap and a hiss. She flourished the blade for a second, then at full strength she threw it. The orange blades sliced through the air and flew towards the tree that Mia was standing on.

The blades spun quickly, and then sliced through the trunk of the massive tree.

Before it could fall however Nemene dashed forward. She bounded with a single forward leap, hopping towards the hopefully falling Mia and aiming a punch directly into the womans face.

Eyes widened as the saber came towards her tree. A silent curse slipped through her lips as she shifted round the tree, aiming to be on the highest point as it fell, the idea of being crushed did not appeal much to her. She looked up, to find her prey bearing down upon her.

She smiled, and jumped from the tree, hitting the ground and rolling she came up on her feet and drew the beskad from its sheath upon her back. "That's better, sithspawn. More like Moridin. What was he to you? Uncle? Grandfather?" she shrugged, "What does it matter, you'll die all the same." There was a madness in the mandaorians eyes, fed by rage and the constant flickering of memories in her mind.

Nemene said nothing, trying respond to such an obvious taunt would only make her angry, she had to be like Evelynn, she had to be calm. Instead she lurched herself back, flipping once, then twice, then landing on her feet with a soft thud. Her knee's bent slightly and she caught her lightsaber with an out stretched hand, immediately turning around to face the woman who had just drawn some sort of blade.

“I can feel the anger in you. The hate.” She smirked slightly as she rose back up to her full height, lightsaber thrumming loudly. “Almost...Sith.”

Clearly the woman disliked Sith, her father in particular. Goading her would be best, an angry opponent did not think clearly. She swung the lightsaber around, slicing into a thick patch of vines besides her, acidic sap slowly oozing out. Again she smirked, and waited for her hunter.

When you'd been through what Mia had, it was impossible not to hate or to feel no anger. It was so much a part of her now that she hardly realized it any more. The simmering beneath the surface was always there, waiting to erupt. More often than not she controlled it, but today that control was gone. Nemene's words were like a knife through her heart and she should have staggered under them. Instead she smiled. Why deny what was becoming of her?

"Aye," she said "Almost."

She leapt forward, wielding the blade with two hands and bringing it down towards the womans head.

Nemene smirked slightly as the woman admitted it. Apparently she was accepting her nature but still hated the Sith. How many Jedi had fallen the same way? How many lightsiders had despised their enemy so much that they became the thing they hated so? Oh this was just too good, she could do something here, accomplish something.

As the woman charged at her Nemene moved to the right, dashing to the side to dodge the blade. With her offhand she swept wide, using the force to throw some of the acidic sap towards her opponent and hopefully stun her.

“Embrace it!” Nemene very nearly yelled the command. She let out a mirthful laugh as she dashed backwards into the foliage. “Take the anger, the hatred, let it consume you.”

She smiled, perhaps goading the woman into taking on the darkside was not the best thing to do right now. It would make her a far tougher opponent, but if Nemene could walk away with this and add another Sith into the galaxy? Oh how divine that would be.

Mia's strike hissed through empty air, unbalancing her. She stumbled and the acid splatted the side of her face and arm. She let out a shout of pain and jumped back, Nemenes words ringing in her ears. The pain should have made her worse, it should have driven Mia over the edge of the pit of darkness on which she stood. The burning sensation in her face worked wonders for Mia, like a slap to the face it was a cognitive recalibration. Anger would not serve her here, anger hadn't served her against Moridin.

She pushed it back beneath the surface and let it bubble away quietly. "Not today." she said softly. A hand reached up, seeking the vines in the force and moving the to coil about Nemene wherever she could, be it throat, arm or body, something to stop her from backing to far away. The beskad spun in Mia's hand and she advanced, taking a two handed grip once more, bringing the blade to up intending to remove the sithspawns torso from her legs.

“A Pity.” Nemene said as she bounded backward avoiding the vines by only the slightest of margins. She was not so lucky with the baskaad however, and the very tip of the heavy blade cut into her, slicing a neat clean grove into Nemene's skin and drawing blood almost instantly. Crimson stained silk, and the Queen of Rattatak let out a sudden gasp as she felt her epidermis part from itself.

Almost immediately however the wound began to sizzle and fester, the blood boiling and the skin quickly forming together once again as the Darkside of the force stitched it closed. Within seconds, Nemene's skin was once again perfect, molded by the darkside of the force. She smiled, then let out a deep ragged breath from the effort of the healing.

Then before Mia could react to the healing Nemene dashed forward. “I Could have used a new pet.”

She said as she slashed at the woman with her saber-staff, then kicked her left foot forward towards the womans shin.

Metal sliced through flesh, but the brief moment of triumph vanished before her eyes. That, was not a good sign. There was no time to contemplate it as the saber staff slashed towards her. Catching the strike on her beskad she bit back a cry of pain as Nemene's boot connected with her shin.

"I will never be your pet." she shoved the staff back, and moved int to strike again, twice high and once low, slowly gathering the force to her and beginning to charge her body with tutaminis. She made the mistake of underestimating Moridin, it was possible that she had allowed anger to blind her again, but she was not going to go down easy.

“Never say never my dear.” Nemene said as her saber bounced off the heavy metal blade once, then twice, but missing it a third time. The felt the slash across her arm, though no pain spiked through her and the cut healed almost instantly. She hardly noticed it however as she struck out again, this time slashing the saber towards the ground before twisting her feet back.

She coiled her leg behind her, then bounded upwards, The long Saber-staff still cutting towards the womans legs while a high flying kick was sent towards her face.

Mia's eyes glittered with hatred as she split skin once more only to have it heal before her eyes. The anger bubbled beneath the surface and began to rise as the woman moved for her legs again. The lightsaber crackled loudly as it met the beskad once more. Mia had not time to counter as Nemene's feet connected with her face.

Blood exploded across her face as her nose shattered, stars blurred her vision as she staggered back. Shaking her head she spat a mouthful of blood aside and took a defensive stance, waiting for the woman to come at her again.

Nemene twitched slightly as her heels landed on the muddy ground. She grinned slightly as she saw the blood run from the womans nose, her eyes shifting and looking over the woman. Before she gave Mia too much time to recover Nemene moved again.

She came at the Mandalorian hard and fast, her lightsaber flicking forward towards her throat, then her shoulder, then her torso. Hard fast attacks in quick succession followed up by a long sweep of Nemenes leg to hopefully catch the womans calf and throw her onto the ground.

Instinct took over, Mia could not match Nemene's speed, each strike worked its way closer and closer to searing flesh. Her legs were swept out from underneath her, but she hit the ground and rolled away, coming up on one knee. She flicked her hand, returning the favour of acid sap to the womans face, before launching herself back at Nemene with a fast strike to the legs, then swinging up for her throat and chest.

Nemene threw up her arm towards the acid. The cool green liquid clashed with her skin and immediately began to sizzle and hiss. Flesh was eaten away, muscle was bitten at, and bone was nearly dissolved as the acid bit into her free hand. She grit her teeth at the sensation of melting flesh, yet curiously it seemed that no pain found her.

Suddenly a strike to her legs came, heavy beskaad flowing.

Nemene arched her Saber-staff, batting the sword away and then doing so again when the girl struck for her throat and chest, each time her lightsaber only making it with barely enough time to stall her death.

Darkside energies began to build in her maimed arm, flesh sealing itself and sparks of lightning rippling over bloody tissue.

The Queen of Rattatak lashed out, sending out a bolt of lightning towards Mia.

Nemene's boot-to-the-face had shattered whatever concentration Mia had set aside for tutaminis, eyes widened as fingers of force energy leapt for her, connecting with such ferocity that they threw her back several feet. Beskad was flung from her hand as the stink of seared flesh filled her nostrils. She didn't cry out, preferring to bite down on her tongue than give Nemene such satisfaction.

She willed her body to moved, rolling onto her front. Edges of her vision darkened as pain racked through her, but she shut it out. She was a mandalorian, a warrior, pain did not stop her. Eyes found her beskad, finger extended towards it, summoning it to her palm.

Before Mia could regain her composure Nemene dashed forward. She had the upper hand now, she was winning, and there was no way that she would allow this creature to regain her composure.

With force imbued speed Nemene reached Mia in the blink of an eye, one of her heeled boots shooting out towards the Mandalorians outstretched hand to stomp and break becomes before she could catch the beskaad flying towards it. At the same time her lightsaber deactivated, the hilt becoming inert.

She swung the hilt towards Mia's face like a cudgel, hoping to bludgeon the woman.

Mia screamed as the boot came crashing down on her hand, bones snapping like twigs beneath its weight. She diverted the beskads direction for Nemene's head, but it sailed over as the sith bent to deal a blow to Mia's head, cracking her across the temple. Consciousness vanished in a tidal wave of black.

This wasn't supposed to happen.
