Location: Ord Thoden - Dusk Family Corp Highrise in the center of Domitree
NPC: Family Lawyer - Albert Saga

From the sky viewed upper floor office of the Dusk family building a holo message was being sent out discreetly. The owner, Varkon Dusk was for un-known reasons not able to run the company anymore. It was then Albert's duty to reach out to the two children of Varkon. Eldest son Saren Dusk Saren Dusk and his sister Jynra Dusk Jynra Dusk . The two, having began to make their own personal enterprises were now headed for a meeting here at the Corp's headquarters.

The message - Put plainly was that the two were to come at their fathers behest as quickly as possible. The family's legacy and power over Ord Thoden's history and politicians could not be threatened while the father was away.

With this message coming from the family's lawyer, the two would have no choice but to trust the opportunity here was real. The "Heirs" to say, of the Dusk family fortune and company would have the opportunity to arrive and compete for their father... or Alberts favour.

Now the time had come. Albert and the other heads of the board await the two to arrive. A round table within a high pitched office overlooked Ord Thoden's future. Its fate, in the hands of Varkon's kids.

As the heavy doors swung open with great force, the frustrated muttering of the board members hushed and their attention all focused on the purple-haired woman marching into the room with an undeserved sense of importance.

"Alright, people!" Her husky voice carried a reckless enthusiasm with it while she strode through the room with purpose. She dropped into her father's chair at the head of the table and swung her boots upon it's polished surface with a solid thud. Leaning back, her fingers laced behind her head, she looked Albert up and down.

"As the rightful head of the Dusk Corporation in my father's absence," she kept her voice loud to drown out any interjections from the board members, and especially from her brother. "I am going to start a new initiative!"

"Each project my father has been stalling will henceforth be greenlit. You are each to take on additional responsibilities in your sectors to ensure these projects go through without delay or trouble. No excuses this time."

Her eyes lingered on the faces in front of her, hunting for the most frightened looking individual.

"And since things always go wrong," Jynra added brightly, "I'll need a scapegoat."

Her finger shot out.

"You! Congratulations, you're it!"

Jynra's grin widened, wild and delighted as the selected board member froze in place.

"Oh, and anyone who disobeys gets fired."

Saren didn't stand or object when Jynra declared herself the rightful head of the Dusk Corporation, he just rolled his eyes. In an overly cartoonish way. From the first words his sister said you could hear Saren mumbling to himself.

"Rightful," It did not matter what was true. Whether she was; in the boards eyes or otherwise. Power. Came from one willing to use it. That was what determined who was in control. Whose pockets would fill.
As Jynra pointed, Saren leaned forward just enough to rest his forearms on the table, eyes settling on the unfortunate board member like a bored predator.

"Statistically speaking," he added calmly, "you were already underperforming. So. Better find someone else to throw under the bus fast."

He leaned back again, perfectly at ease, letting the room drown in the tension she'd poured into it.

"Please," Saren added, eyes sweeping the table, "try not to make her repeat herself. Her voice is an angel to some. But as chalkboard to me." (Ouch :') lol)

Saren watched it with idle interest, fingers drumming once against the wood before stilling. He didn't look angry. It seemed like he was watching a movie. One he had seen a hundred times.

His gaze flicked briefly to Albert. Wondering if there was any way to sway him. No matter how long it took. Saren would find it.

"Adjust your expectations." It was half to the board but ever so briefly did he look at his sisters eyes. A gloss of mischief hinting as they crossed.

"I think it is important we all come together to discuss what businesses father has divvied between the two of us. I assume that is all the board cares about." It was all Saren cared about. If his sister was not here maybe he would have just bombed this meeting. Then again, who knows exactly what is going on with their father. Maybe this is a test.

Albert slid a thin data-slate across the table instead. It stopped precisely between Saren and Jynra, its surface dark. "This is not an inheritance, you would both do wise to respect your fathers business."

Albert Saga tapped the data-slate once, waking it.

"Alright," he said. "This is how it's going to work."

He didn't look at the board yet. He looked at the two of them.

"Saren," Albert said, without ceremony. "Security contracts. Logistics. Arms manufacturing that's already licensed and already selling. Planetary defense deals. Training programs."

"Jynra. Pharmaceuticals. R&D. Stimulants. Enhancers. Anything experimental. Audits. and Incident reviews."

A few board members shifted. Albert finally glanced at them.

"Yes," he said calmly, "that includes the projects you've been sitting on."

Albert folded his hands.

"For the record," he added, "neither of you is being named head of the corporation. The holding company stock is still under your father."

His gaze moved across the board now, slow and deliberate.

"Questions?"
