Falling Further.

He lay on the ground, his breathing ragged, his muscles beyond sore and his head feeling as if it were going to burst. He sat up and the metallic taste of blood filled his mouth, clearing his mind, calming his fear. he looked down at his hands covered in dirt from his recent fall and dried blood from a more distant one. after a moment his blurred surroundings became clear. He could hear the sounds of jungle, smell the humidity and feel the living heat around him, though he could not see the forest for the trees, he looked down at his hands covered in dirt from a recent fall and dried blood from a more distant one. He got back to his feet and began running again, desperate for escape. He could see the light from where the tree line broke, if only he could make it, he had to make it, he must escape this place.

He ran non-stop for hours and just as he had given up hope the tree line broke and before him was a man surrounded by enemies. He could only watch in terror and shame as the man fell struck by a spear to the side. He reached a hand up to his own side, pulling it back covered in thick warm blood. No, not again.

Desperate he tried to call out a warning but he was too late. He was always too late. One of the attackers lifted their spear to put an end to the wounded man but before he could cold blue lightning shot from the tips of the man's fingers killing the faceless attackers. He tried to turn away but no matter what direction he looked he could not escape watching them die screaming. Finally he looked down at his hands once more, the tips of his fingers billowed smoke and he knew he had to get away to run as fast as he could.

He took off running back through the trees, toward the clearing only to find himself watching the same scene over and over again.

Ragos Terrek awoke from his nightmare screaming. He looked at his hands and found they were no longer smoking and no longer covered in blood. at least not literally. The other passengers of the public shuttle looked at him with fear. He just scowled and began to play with the small black crystal that hung around his neck. He was headed to Coruscant, capital of the One Sith empire, to find someone who could help him.

The monster Dredge was only able to get him so far, but the crystal had given him true vision, it showed him he needed a sith to help him unlock his power. Only by learning from the Sith could he become strong enough to protect his family. Something was coming for them and he did not know what but he knew it was true and he had to be ready to save them, at any cost.

The Shuttle landed and Ragos disembarked making his way toward the Sith temple unsure of a great many things, but sure of only one. He would find someone to teach him and he would prove his worth.

Vengeance made his way towards the Starport. A Legion of Sith, Troopers, and Pilots Swarming the place. The drums of war beating loud enough to make s man's head hurt. It was the way it was meant to be. Vengeance was enjoying his last moment of respite before he hand to focus on one thing and one thing only. Killing.

He paused as he saw a man make his way towards him. An unfamiliar face to be sure but among a legion of Sith that was not uncommon. He looked at [member="Ragos Terrek"] pointing back towards the massive amount of shuttles.

"You are headed the wrong way." "The war is that way."

The timing of the thread creation means it makes the most since to catch Vengeance as he was leaving for the invasion. So a quick IC introduction thread for now and more to come later. ;).

War? What war? He had not come here for any war, he'd come only to better himself, to become strong enough to face an uncertain future. As Ragos looked around uncomfortably hoping in vain the man was pointing to someone else, he noticed the hanger filled with other bodies many of whom were in uniform, it dawned on him that he must of been mistaken for a soldier.

"This is not my war." he told the stranger and as he did, he felt it. it washed over Ragos entirely, body and soul. The darkside emminated from the stranger in pulsing waves. The crystal he wore at the end of his necklace grew hot, it burned furiously at his flesh and whispered to him louder than it ever had, so loud he was sure the stranger could here but of course he couldn't. It told him that this man was exactly who or what he was looking for

Vengeance looked at the man with a slight tilt of his head.

"You are on sovereign soil of the One Sith." "Clearly you must be new." "Otherwise you would already know when the Dark Lord says go to war it is every ones war."

Vengeance looked over the man's shoulder making a few mental calculations. By his estimate he had about an hour before he would need to be on the ship himself. He focused back on the man in front of him.

"Well I have a few minutes so why don't we start with your name and then we can get into why you are here."

War? No! A war would mean those who could help him would be gone, off to kill or be killed in some force damned hole on some force forsaken rock in the middle of kriffing nowhere.

“Ragos Terrek.” He said extending a hand in greeting.

Vengeance shook the man's hand.

"Vengeance." "So what brings you to the Temple?"

He smiled knowing the answer would at least be some version of training or growing more powerful. What matter though was to what end. In it younger days it would not have matter to him why somebody sought power. These days however he found himself thinking about the little things.

"I need help." He answered truthfully "My family is counting on me to protect them. I need to be able to do that." he said virtually pleading now. He had come so far and seen far than he would ever dare too but now Ragos was closer than he had ever been, he needed this to work for him.
