TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Defensive Field System
  • Weight: Weightless
  • Resistances:
    • Energy: None
    • Kinetic: None
    • Lightsabers: None
    • EMP: Extreme
      • Exotic Wavelengths/Signals: Extreme
      • Electromagnetic Wavelengths/Signals: Extreme
    • Ion: Low
    • Radiation: High
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Upon detection of certain wavelengths, the Serenity generates an invisible defensive energy field around its immediate proximity (~5 Meter Bubble) which is capable of preventing various forms of low strength ionizing and non-ionizing exotic, particle, and/or electromagnetic wavelengths and signals from penetrating the field.
    • The projected field is unable to block most forms of high strength wavelengths that are lethal to Humans, Near-Humans, and/or Humanoids. In that sense, the protection that it provides is very mild, yet is very capable in blocking low strength wavelengths, especially those tuned to specific signals or frequencies.
  • The defensive field generated by the Serenity is automatically tuned to counter the frequency or signal of the wavelength it initially detects. However, even an “untuned” field can provide a measure of defense against most electromagnetic and exotic wavelengths. The operator may also manually tune the field to defend against a wavelength that is not pre-programmed into the system.
STRENGTHS
  • Signal Interceptor: In projecting a defensive anti-wavelength field, the Serenity can quite convincingly shield against the wavelengths projected by ysalamiri kill devices. In the opposite direction, it can also protect against midi-chlorian and cellular apoptosis-inducing signals/wavelengths.
WEAKNESSES
  • Blackout: It almost goes without saying that the Serenity will obstruct most communications, transmissions, and other radio wavelengths from penetrating the projected field for the duration of its activation. However, other exotic forms of communication, such as telepathy and advanced quantum-based systems are able to bypass the field.
  • Ionite Void: While the Serenity can defend against electromagnetic pulses that would otherwise disable the device, its defenses are not well optimized to shield against ionite discharges or interference. As such, ionite is a reliable way to temporarily disable the Serenity, depending on the power quotient and proximity of the initial discharge to the device.
DESCRIPTION
An ultralight defensive device, the FAE/U-01 “Serenity” Anti-Signal Field System is a field generator which is capable of blocking many kinds of electromagnetic wavelengths and other signals, capable of being tuned to defend against a specific wavelength. The device was conceived by First United Astral Engineering as a means to protect against such wavelengths, especially given the deleterious effects of certain types on ysalamir and even Midi-Chlorians. While rare, the system is nevertheless a powerful tool when applied in the right contexts. In addition, its light weight and small form factor ensures that it is always worth having in a loadout, even if cellular apoptosis-inducing signals/wavelengths or ysalamir kill devices are rarely or never encountered in the field.

Really nice submission! Mellifluous Magenta Mellifluous Magenta

I just have one thing, I personally feel like this would fall under explosive & ordinance. This seems like some sort of mine that sets off if it hits certain wavelengths. Please correct me if I'm wrong. If it is could you please use the following template below.
