Factory Renovations (FOTM and Galderra Royal Treasury)

Lord Mettallum

After Lord Mettallum was able to purchase Loronar Corporation he found out the location of a long abandoned AT-AT factory and http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jade_Moon_supply_base"]supplystation owned by Loronar Corporation on the Jade Moon. Lord Mettallum was going to rebuild the factory himself but due to unforeseen circumstances the Metal Lords lost most of their power with most of the merchant fleets that would be surrounding Metal Lord owned planets scattering causing Lord Mettallum to lose quite alot of credits and supplies meaning he had to look for outside help in rebuilding the factory.

Lord Mettallum's dropship had landed at the location of abandoned supply station. Lord Mettallum decided it was best to get the supply station back up and running before he would start working on the AT-AT factory. Lord Mettallum eixted his ship with D1 battle droids and AE 1 engineering droids trailing behind him. The droids waited at one of the landpads for the representatives and employees of Galderra Royal Treasury who Lord Mettallum hired via the holonet to help in rebuilding the factory and supply station.

If Lord Mettallum had any sensor ability scanning orbit, he would notice an Acclimator-class Transport, being escorted by two Royal-class Cruisers. Near immediately, a separate shuttle had entered the system before them and approached the planet, entering the atmosphere at the designated landing coordinates. Eddak exited the shuttle and took a deep breath as he looked around. Once he spotted Lord Mettallum, he started to walk towards him. A couple other staff members exited the shuttle with datapads and started looking around and inputting data onto the pads. "Lord Mettallum!" Eddak said reaching his arms out as if to hug him, but he didn't, pulling his arms back in. "It's so good to meet you, it's me; Eddak Manod," He continued, reaching into his jacket to pull out a folder, "So this it it, hoh? Seems so old and abandoned. Can any of it really be salvaged?" He opened the folder to double check it before handling it over to Lord Mettallum. It was a contract, for Galderra Royal Treasury to have access to making AT-AT's after supporting the reconstruction of the facility. "Heh, sorry. a little bit has changed since we last spoke. Well... a lot. Galderra Royal Treasury is rich.... Commenor Systems Alliance helped us make a massive Orbital Array... we've got a lot going for us. My Acclimator in orbit has everything we need. Vehicles, personnel, transports, and materials. After you sign that, I can make the order for them to start, and you can help in directing them where to go and what to do. However... there's something else in that contract. The facility here... I don't want just a couple engineers here to work with yours in producing AT-At's.... I want the facility co-owned, by you and I."

Lord Mettallum was bit confused about the fake hug gesture [member="Eddak Manod"] just did wondering if it was custom of where he lived or some way mocking Lord Mettallum. Once Eddak introduced himself and seemed a bit unsure of the value of the ruined supply station Lord Mettallum responded

"Yes greetings Mr Manod, do not fear this was once a valued Imperial Supply Station with the task of receiving supplies and transporting them to the AT-AT Factory, If you look around you may see a few heavy turbolasers that can easily be rebuilt after the rebel attack on this station centuries ago and it is important to get this station up and running so the factory can get supplies"

Lord Mettallum grabbed the contract once Eddak double checked it and offered it to him. Lord Mettallum was a bit taken back when Eddak told him of a simple change which would mean Eddak and his company would own part of the facility. To Lord Mettallum it felt like Eddak was taking advantage of Lord Mettallum's recent loss of wealth however Lord Mettallum guessed Eddak wouldn't assist Lord Mettallum if Lprd Mettallum decided not to share the factory once it gets completed so the best shot Lord Mettallum had was making sure Eddak didn't take claim to most of facility.

"Wel I Lord Mettallum understand everyone wants to be able to produce AT-ATs however I Lord Mettallum must inform you that you would be missing out not allowing my engineering droids to help your engineers. Speaking about sharing the factory I Lord Mettallum am a kind and gracious droid and shall allow you 25% of the factory which means you should have access to one of the rather massive engineering bays and I Lord Mettallum will let you have one of the outter facilities and landing pads of this supply station"

Lord Mettallum was hoping this would be enough for Eddak and that Eddak would not demand more.

Eddak shook his head, crossing his arms. He respected the intelligence of the droid to the point it had leadership skills and the ability to act on its own within its droid brain. Or to put it plainly, he did respect Lord Mettallum and his ranks and everything he has earned. "No, Lord Mettallum, you're missing the point. First, let me put your troubles aside. I can't take full control of this facility and I will never be able to. It's too far for Galderra Royal Treasury to establish control, and it's too far outside the sphere of influence of my faction. I want co-ownership so that I can ensure I can control what I can. It's not that I don't trust you, Lord Mettallum, that's not it at all. And I see our personnel working together at every station, not separately. I don't see why we all can't be equals in this - that problem would be on you. I will never move to take the entire facility from you, Galderra Royal Treasury is part of Galderra, my home, and only Galderra. I won't move all the way out here to kick you out. My company isn't a war company, and my faction is about independence and routing piracy. Even if you did some bad deeds, you and this facility are too far out of their jurisdiction." Eddak shrugged, "I'm sorry for dropping this on you. I know the ships in orbit look menacing, but the transports are unarmed, only the cruisers are serving as escorts. No one is here to force you into anything. To compensate for the trouble, I'll establish a weekly trade route here to drop off supplies and materials at no cost to you, and a lump sum of fifty-thousand credits. Will that put you at ease? Those transports I have in orbit have everything we will need to rebuild this facility and more. You can go and say; this is your facility. You can disregard my peoples existence on this facility if you want. The only time I'm going to have an issue is if you let off work for my people, move them, or restrict me from producing something."

Lord Mettallum was even more surprised than before, he had mistook [member="Eddak Manod"] intentions. It is rare to find a honest sounding person in the world of business these days and Lord Mettallum should know as he isn't the most honest but Lord Mettallum could be wrong and this man is only playing an act but sometimes you just have to hope its the former.

"My apologies Mr Manod I Lord Mettallum did not mean to misunderstand your intent. I Lord Mettallum will happily pay for the supplies as long as there is a trade route but I Lord Mettallum should inform you that your workers would probably have to make the latter batches of AT-ATs as I Lord Mettallum will only be using the base template to make my own versions that are not an exact copy of the ones used by the Galactic Empire and its successors. Any way Mr Manod how long do you think it will take to get this supply station atleast operational then we shall worry about the main factory"

One may be able to tell Lord Mettallum's voice sounded a bit calmer and relaxed .

Eddak nodded as the droid came to a realization, it was good its processing unit still functioned properly. "I don't need to get complicated on the matter. Yes, I'll probably just use the base AT-AT's, and that will be no problem. As for the supply station..." Eddak took a couple steps backward and knocked on the transport, enough that the Pilots inside would hear him. Apparently that was the signal to alert the acclamators to launch their payload; the workers and resources. "Galderra has a way of making structures relatively fast. We'll have the supply station up and running in less than an hour.... then a more permanent solution will be constructed in less than a week. Until then I'm sure you're fine with us landing just about anywhere? Haha" Eddak was certainly calm during all this. Not to say he didn't fear Lord Mettallum or should, but even as a droid Eddak still expected Lord Mettallum to act like a droid. They typically don't make rash decisions, they're intelligent, and use deductive reasoning. This was a sound idea and Eddak was sure Lord Mettallum agreed.

Lord Mettallum found it quite funny how people still use the old AT-AT model in the galaxy even if the modern galaxy has more advance versions or vehicles that do the same thing without the ridiculously large legs, Lord Mettallum would then respond to [member="Eddak Manod"] in a joking manner about his choice to keep with the base AT-AT model.
"I Lord Mettallum am sure you would find the Base AT-AT model 800 years out of date but if you really want antiques then be my guest."

Lord Mettallum would turn around facing away from eddak to study the terrain of the land where the supply station would be setup. When Lord Mettallum heard that Eddak and his company could get the supply station up and running in an hour Lord Mettallum was quite surpised until he realised Eddak was talking about a more temporary version and a fully functional supply base would take around a week or less. Of course Lord Mettallum understood the supply station would be the easy part compared to the factory.

"Your ships can land any where on this planet and I Lord Mettallum believe there are still some old landing pads left from the old supply station but just be warned chances are they may be covered in rubble and parts of the old supply station buildings."

Lord Mettallum would then wave to one of his droids which in turn ran over to Eddak with a holopad offering it to him.

"While the construction of the supply station happens please take a look at the schematics of the factory on that holopad, They are old schematics and I Lord Mettallum believe we can improve on them however I Lord Mettallum am not the one who runs the construction company and thus it is easier for me to fail to notice and flaws."

Eddak grinned and stretched slightly as the droid mentioned the age of the AT-AT's. "Oh don't worry, Lord Mettallum. I have my own advanced walker," he continued, whispering, "I call it the Bantha. I'm sure you'd love to see it." He returned to a normal tone of voice as he took the holopad to look it over, gesturing for one of the men that traveled with him to take a look. "I plan to construct a number of original AT-AT's to look over their designs and test them for things, no doubt I'll improve upon them for what I need, but I don't want to start from scratch; I want to make something the facility won't have trouble making without severe alterations. Also, I'm not the foreman."

Eddak handed the holopad to the gentleman beside him who was looking over the holopad, who in turn claimed the pad and turned around as he started speaking on a comm, directing Eddaks workers. "I'm a soldier, also a King, but my experiences are not in Construction. I am merely in charge of where and how we operate, but that's how as in, who we do business with and when. I don't run the construction job. Galderra is a castle, and needs expert construction. So that's what my Treasury specializes in. For the people, I always say. If you've nothing to do, we could always sit back and watch. I'd offer you a drink but... do droids drink anything?"

Lord Mettallum didn't even think of creating the old AT-ATs fron the schematics he had to make sure he knew how they worked and how to properly improve on the base model which made him quite stupid. "I Lord Mettallum would love to see your creation when it is finished and I Lord Mettallum must I Lord Mettallum mistook you for a foreman and not as a kin.. " Lord Mettallum stopped speaking for a second processing what Eddak said he was before yelling in a surprised manner "YOUR A KING!"

Lord Mettallum felt extremely embarrassed as he failed to realise he was infact talking to a king and failed to speak to him in the correct manner nor courtes. Lord Mettallum quickly went on his knews "Your grace I Lord Mettallum am extremely sorry I Lord Mettallum had failed to treat you with the respect a King deserves please forgive me your grace as to your question on droids drinking I Lord Mettallum have been gifted with devices that act like taste buds however as a droid I Lord Mettallum prefer to drink oil as it helps clense a droids body of impurities"
