From The Shadows
Centuries ago a Darth and her followers were labelled as Heretics and Traitors by a fellow Lord, Darth Fuan. Instead of standing to fight, the Darth and her followers faded into the shadows and fled as they followed the philosophy of victory through manipulation and trickery, misdirection and assassination.
Settling on the world of Athiss, on an island within the northmost sea, the Lord and her Followers erected a Temple and labelled themselves a Sect, hiding their Temple through Sith Sorcery and Alchemy. From there they went on to amass power and knowledge, contracting their skills out and striking out at Sith, Jedi and others.
In the end, a traitor within their midst revealed their location to Darth Fuan, who lead an attack on the Temple through Orbital Bombardment and Frontal Assault. The Sect were decimated, even though their Temple remained (if in ruins) when a Sorcery Ritual robbed all those near the Temple of their lives and the Library of the Temple burnt from the flames caused by the Librarians.
Darth Fuan then went on to purge all mentions of his rival from the annuls of history, killing any who even hinted at knowing of the Sect. However, a few escaped the purge and their whispers and relics survive within the Galaxy.
One such relic was a plain holocron, one with no special decorations or adornmants. Simple in nearly everyway, the holocron passed from being cosidered a relic of the Force and was instead considered an imitation of those items, passed from the hands of collector to collector. Until it passed into the hands of Xavka Duquo, the Darth Lykos, upon the completion of a farely normal assassination. The words spoken to the Zabrak upon activation of the relic swayed his chosen actions and it meant that his gaze would turn to Athiss, prepared to pluder the secrets of an outdated Assassin sect to benfit a modern one.
As such he has reached out to the Sith Assassins.

Above is all of the information that your characters will have if you choose to join this thread. The basics is that this is a former Assassins group similar to the Sith Assassins, ones that also specialised in Sorcery.
The current idea of the thread is thus: everyone will enter the Temple, from there, do what you wish. Explore and discover/create the history of this Sect (which I have named Sama Iw Ri Jin' Nakis "Sect of the Dark Night" in High Sith) or maybe recover artifacts and weapons from this Sect, or even recover Holocrons of past members (please understand that, should you go this route, it will be expected for you to submit the factory sub for this holocron yourself).
I, personally, and any who wish to join me (I'm thinking of maybe one other, maybe two, since I want to keep this group small), will be going after the Qormuo Sishias (the "Endless Codex") which will be serving as one part, the remaining part, of the collection of knowledge held by the Sect and, hopefully, it will serve as a Codex for the Sith Assassin (after I make a sub for the factory).
Please remember that anyone can find anything they want within the Temple (within reason) and from there the plan is for it to be reverse engineered and supplied to everyone who participates. So go wild (again, within reason).
