(Resubmission brought back up to specs by the new guidelines)
Intent: To design a pocket carrier for use by the Corsair Brotherhood.
Development Thread: none
Manufacturer: Subbach-Innes
Model: Façade-class pocket carrier
Affiliation: The Mercenary Guild
Modularity: none
Production: minor
Material: Durasteel
Description: This carrier was created to be used as a carrier that would draw in the pray of the Corsair Brotherhood appearing as a standard cargo hauler but hidden within each of the 18 cargo pods were 2 interceptor or light fighter class ships 2 of them holding 1 and the last 4 carrying a gunship each. Once the prey was drawn in the pods would split in half popping open allowing for careful launch of the fighters. Landing in a hurry is a very dangerous maneuver though so it is advised that all fighters have their own hyper drive. As a dedicated carrier and a ship to draw in the prey this ship is not heavily armed or armored aside from military grade shields. When the pods are seal they are able to sustain atmosphere to the point that the pods have an access hatch to the main part of the ship allowing the fighter pilots to get to bunks and rest properly when on long engagements. The hatches are magnetically locked when the cargo pods open making them a sealed environment. As well the two hallways that access the pods are able to be sealed as well leaving another hallway between them for the crew to use as they need to. To get the fighters back in would take time especially if the format was that of the 36 light fighters or interceptors and 4 gunships as they would have to slowly guide the fighters into position for clamps to snag them and keep them in place. Overall it would take 3 times the normal time to land all fighters even if it was 36 fighters or interceptors and 4 gunships.

The gunships will need to be approved before this can be approved, but other then that the only issue I have is the crew numbers. A normal Frigate is defined in canon as being 200m-400m long and having a crew anywhere from 200-1000 people. This is the about as big as most frigates are going to get, so I'll expect the optimal number to be more towards the 1000 side of the spectrum.
