Strengths: Modularity for weapons, and power supply.
Weaknesses: This fighter is not a full-bore combat fighter. This fighter is also designed to be modulated, and this will result in potentially catastrophic power failures. Due to more thought being put into the internal systems of this vessel, the hull is very fragile.

Description: The Harrier is a fighter released by Excelsior Aerospace to create a cutting edge experimental platform. While the vessel has a rough and unfinished look, this is due to create enough internal space to provide the pilot the ability to modify the fighter with weapons, energy sources and engines of their choice. Off the factory line, the Harrier comes equipped with four empty wing mounts and two empty warhead launcher mounts. The fighter does come equipped with a standard fusial thrust engines and cryogenic power cells, but it is clear that the ship leaves many open ports that can be modified to fit a variety of currently released engines and power plants.

With the creation of STEB Research Association, and their data and technology sharing with many companies across the Tion Hegemony, Techno Union and other companies in the galaxy, Excelsior wanted to provide the perfect test ship. With each purchase of a Harrier, the purchaser agrees to a data sharing clause that allows all data, including weapon mount choices, power plant choices and engine choices as well as the data streams from the internal computer of each Harrier to be sent to the Excelsior mainframe for analysis and extrapolation.

The ship does have a limited sleeping area and for a fighter its size, depending on the load out, the cockpit is roomy, making this a strong candidate for a fast-courier fighter. While the main electronic component management computer is shared to Excelsior, a secondary personal terminal can be installed to provide a preferred HUD lay out for the fighter, however should the programming on the additional terminal interfere with the Excelsior terminal, the warranty on the fighter will be void.

Development Thread: N/A
Intent: To create an experimental fighter for use by the purchaser with a focus in testing new weapons, power supplies, and internal components
Who Can Use This: The purchaser

Limited production, sold without weapons.

It is a little fast and well shielded, but its offset by a light hull, its production value, and again those weapons that are sold and equipped separately.

But after checking with others and considering it, Pending Secondary.
