DESCRIPTION

The F-42 'Booster' Holster is an energy pack that can be worn on any utility belt that feeds to a holster. The Booster is only compatible with a few sidearms that utilize powercells as a means of firing as its recharge system requires a port on the barrel of the sidearm to feed power to and replenish the power cell of said sidearm. The Booster can replenish the powercell of a sidearm at a rate of about four rounds a second. This allows for a relatively quick recharge especially while on the field. The holster itself can recharge up to 225 shots before the powercell belt itself needs to be recharged with a fresh powercell supply.

How many times is the booster able to recharge a power cell before it needs to be recharged itself?

The intention for it is to make it so that one who uses it doesn't need to ever need to worry about ever having to recharge, somewhat similar to how a DC-15S sidearm worked. As far as short firefights will go, one won't have to worry about the Booster needing to recharge, but if it had to have a finite power life, it would probably be about once every 500 shots.

It will need a finite power source as it's not actually connected to a power source, so it realistically wouldn't have an infinite power supply to recharge applicable weapons.

With your mention of the DC-15s sidearm, and based off the description of your submission, I feel as if the Booster holster is meant to recharge blaster pistols? And so, the maximum it'll be capable of reloading is anywhere between 200-250 shots.

Add it into the submission and I'll approve it.

The holster is connected to a powercell belt as its power source, but I probably should have made that more readily apparent. And yes the holster is meant specifically for pistols since it wouldn't make sense to have a holster that recharges at the rate it does for blasters with a larger shot capacity. Adjustments made to accommodate requests.
