The ring, created by Odessa, utilizes the alloy known as songsteel. In the center of the ring sits a black diamond that holds the spell Possession. All around the black diamond are several rubies and sapphires that hold the Magical Ichor.
The spell Possession is an ancient Nightsister technique that invoked a dead Nightsister's spirit, allowing it to inhabit and control the body and mind of another individual, turning their eyes to a glowing bright green, and their voice replaced by the dead spirits. To activate the preset spell, she just needed to touch the diamond. The spell can't be used repeatedly, needing a few minutes to recharge.
The other gemstones contain Magical Ichor that can aid in the recharging process or for other purposes if needed. However, these gemstones need to be refilled after use.
An individual who possess a strong will can possibly negate the possession spell, or if possessed could possibly fight off the infestation.
