Planet 244Core was well known for the abundance of mineral deposits it possessed. It was said that despite a lifetime of mining that the arid world remained plentiful with the raw resources it possessed. Those in the Mining Conglomerates had started to wonder if the world would ever run dry. All these resources made 244Core profitable to control, empires had fought over it in the past and at present it was controlled by the Eternal Empire.

Existing on the fridge of the Empires territory made 244Core profitable for other reasons too though.

The Planet, aside from being arid was also inhospitable due to its hazardous weather ensuring many settlements were underground. Meteorite Storms were periodic and frequent, showering the surface in a hail of burning rocks after the majority burnt up in the atmosphere whereas meteor showers were seasonal and less frequent though the barrage of rocks that accompanied such storms was enough to level buildings.

The Smugglers had chaffed at the idea of doing this deal above ground, especially given the threat of the meteorites but Sarad had convinced them after ensuring them the payment of credits would make them wealthy men. They'd all meet in the ruins of a settlement that had been blasted by the atmospheric hazards of the planet where the two groups, several Smugglers and Sarad himself would make their exchange.

Sarad handed over a data stick containing the codes and whereabouts of credits the Smugglers could access off world and in return he received his cargo. The Khyber Crystal Container was left out on a small ledge, Sarad accessed it as the Smugglers began a careful withdrawal after their payment. The Container contained several synthetic khyber crystals, difficult to obtain under most circumstances and somewhat unstable but capable of superior power output if used appropriately.

He was satisfied. As he prepared to leave he felt something, a shift in the force which caused his mind to fill with caution. Turning his head he looked around himself, attempting to locate the disturbance from behind the mask of his rebreather. A Duster overlaid the armor he wore, a lightsaber concealed inside of it over his right hip and Old Sin somewhere on his person as well. Sarad would not run or play a game of cat and mouse, he would let the disturbance come to him.
