Intent: To give Jak a custom power suit that accomplishes what all of his previous suits did, all compacted together into one suit.
Development Thread: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/67522-technoplant-is-a-thing-right-leyan-viceritas-dev/ [IN PROGRESS AT TIME OF SUBMISSION]
Manufacturer: Jak Sandrow
Model: EXO-3 (custom)
Affiliation: Jak Sandrow
Modularity: Backpacks can be switched out, gloves, HUD visor, and boots can be removed (and with a bulky jacket over top, the suit can be somewhat concealed)
Production: Unique, for now
Material: Durasteel - some wiring components, motors, and main metallic frame; leather for non-chafing arm guards
Classification: Multi-purpose
Weight: 25 kg, but completely encumbering when off
Quality: 5
Special Features:

Power surge: Sends a burst of energy through the system at certain stimuli - punching, jumping, and dodging are enhanced to allow more powerful, if not necessarily faster, reflexes.

3 separate, designated backpacks, each of which contain 3 specialized tools:
Power:
  • A small, rechargeable jet booster built into the back, which can (for example) help to maneuver in space without an extravehicular attachment
  • A deployable riot shield (containing a small, single, commercially-available holdout blaster)
  • A built-in large thermal detonator, for a final attempt to kill the opponent (effective radius 5 m)
Slice:
  • Built-in signal disruptor (from previous suit)
  • A container for various slicing tools - tunnelers, datapads, holo-keyboards, etc
  • Small, but heavy-duty plasma torch
Stealth:
  • Camo cloak; makes user become almost perfectly invisible (from previous suit)
  • Mute speaker: a computer-assisted speaker that plays sounds to turn waveforms flat, essentially silencing anything in the nearby vicinity.
This is a physics-based theory, that every sound creates a waveform, and if a sound is produced that is its exact opposite, the crests and troughs of the waveforms will cancel out each other, turning them to modes, aka silence. This speaker broadcasts opposite waveforms to attempt to 'mute' noises made by the operator - breathing, footsteps, gunshots, etc - where louder noises are more difficult to conceal. (based on this )
  • A bunch of smoke and flash pellets, to distract enemies
Every pack can be put onto the suit all at once, or in any combination, and each can be disconnected individually, with no effect on the suit.

Detachable gloves and boots, each of which connect both physically and electronically to the main frame of the suit.
A small HUD visor contains important information about targets and suit status. It is connected wirelessly to the main suit's onboard cpu.
A sheath for Jak's beskad
Built-in holsters for his pistols
Built-in liquid cable launcher and scomp-link on each arm
Magnetic grips on the palm of each hand

Description: Jak has decided to slim down his previous suit, and add that to the disused one in his locker. To do this, he needed to make a sturdier, more economical frame. By assembling the basic structure of the suit around his body, and applying necessary components to it, he got a basic frame to work with. Adding mechanical parts and gizmos together, he got a basic exo-frame to work with.

Working together with Leyan Viceritas, he finagled extra components for an optimal, yet minimal collection of tools and weaponry. Applying his technical expertise to it, a proper, multi-functional exo-suit was born, and Jak intends to make good use of it.

Can you add in an Effective Range field for this, to show the blast radius?

This speaker broadcasts opposite waveforms - Loudly! - to nullify any and all noises: gunshots, footsteps, and breach and enters.
The basis of the theory is that by generating equal and opposite waveforms no sound is produced, but by creater louder waveforms in the opposite flow is only going to create a background noise of significant volume. That being said, you would need to be able to release these soundwaves at exactly the same time as they are produced, at exactly the right frequency, which means either you will need a specific set of actions you can perform in the suit to remain silent, or there will be times where you won't be able to keep quiet. Silencing a gunshot in such a manner, for example, isn't going to be possible in this way.

I've given the thermal detonator 5 m as an effective range (which is about that of a large grenade in real tech)

And I've adjusted the description of the muting function, as per this explanation. It quiets noise, but doesn't completely mute anything.
