Excuses and self-justification…

Corvus wondered how long the truce would last. And the arrival of a Sith ship might not bode well — for she was at least confident she could ensure her travelling companion’s safe passage.

For now they took temporary refuge in the doorway to the Sith tomb. The Darkness was palpable so she pulled the Light-side to her like some protective blanket.

“Feel free to wander further in,” she offered. “I’ll wait here for now.”

While [member="Corvus Raaf"] may shield her self from the darkness within for him it was invigorating and nourishing for him. It was like food for a starving beast....and he indeed craved it well despite her offer he stayed where she was....he wasn't about to leave this jedi to her self he was not that trusting yet....his mind wondered to another problem....if the republic arrived before he did...he maybe a ...permanent guest of theirs. The same fate would await his jedi friend should his brethren arrive..he will cross that bridge when it comes for now they had to last long enough for such a rescue to come for now he simply sat down and rested for a moment to regain his energy.

Corvus noticed he chose not to wander in to the tomb. Maybe he didn’t trust her enough to turn his back on her? Maybe he believed her when she said there was nothing to find. Or perhaps he was unsure of his abilities to get in and to alive. Darth Bane — the first Sith Lord of the rule of two barely managed it, after all.

“So…what next?” she said, to nobody in particular. “It could be days before a search party chances past. And who knows which denomination? I can always enter the White Current if I need to…but that doesn’t help my chances of survival. Any thoughts?”

He spoke again with as much honesty as he could bring for a sith despite the fact that [member="Corvus Raaf"] was talking outloud to herself . " I do not know what we could do now....and if my side comes i will not mention you being here ...it will keep them from scouring this place trying to find you.....i do not know if you'll demonstrate the same courtesy should it be the republic that comes...for now we can stay here where we have shelter."

Corvus nodded. "You have my word. And if need be, I could even hide you in the White Current until we are gone, should the need arise. Not that it would. I tend to find my word sufficient to ensure compliance amongst the Jedi."

"We could start a fire, but that is likely to attract animals - and modern technology should be sufficient to locate us."

She pressed a button on her saber. It sent out a frequency to her ship, beckoning it. Given it was in no fit state to be recovered, it mattered little, but the encoding was Jedi and Republic. Any passing ship within a short proximity would pick up the signal. So she decided to press it every five minutes or so.

he pulled out two metallic stick like cylinders and twisted the end on one of them and it glowed a small bright white color and the same with the other one it produced some heat without the need for a fire but dim enough not to attract creatures from where they are." We shall see who arrives first shall we?"

Corvus didn't feel the cold. A gift from a Silver Jedi Master adorned her ankle - a bracelet that ensured she never felt too hot or too cold in remote climates. And it filtered toxins from any noxious gases too.

And she had the Force instead of glowsticks to help her see.

But the Sith clearly benefitted from the sticks and so she positioned herself closer to the entrance, to cut down the light that might escape and draw unwanted attention.

"This is the part where we swap stories?" She smiled. "Not that I was ever into camping. How about you?"

He chuckled a little at the irony that he was sitting here having a nice conversation with a Jedi of all people, A little talk wouldn't hurt anyone. "I never was the ...camping type either..I was the hunter since i was a little pup." He thought for a moment before asking her self..." I am curios...through out history it self...I have noticed a trend. The sith rise to a position of incredible power and strength......but then the Jedi whether through one single lone jedi or as a whole seem to over throw them for a time...and then the cycle repeats it self....why is that i wonder?"

Corvus smiled. "If I was given a credit for every time that question has been posed in one way or another, the poor of the galaxy would not be starving."

"Often Padawans ask me which is stronger, the Light or the Dark. Most, I suspect, anticipate I'll say the Light. But if millennia of history tells us anything, it is this - the Force consists of both the Light and the Dark. The role of the Jedi is to keep it in balance. Yes? The Ruusan wars? Just one Sith remained. Order 66? One Jedi left. Yet here we are. And people will no doubt sit her in another thousand years and ask the same question. My honest answer? We are destined to fight to ensure a balance in the Force. Forever. And a day."

"Does that answer surprise you?"
