Description: An upgraded, refitted model of the original Arsenal A1 Cruiser, the Excubitor-class cruiser is designed as the workhorse of the Protectorate defense force. Some minor alterations were made to the keels of all the recalled vessels but this allowed for some new advances to be implemented as well as hull recycling, as a part of the bow was removed to bring the ship in line with a more efficient design rather than the slow and clunky ship that was the Arsenal A1. This, as opposed to building a brand-new vessel, wass seen as a more cost-effective measure of updating Omega's fleet.

The Excubitor's primary role is to be a general workhorse within a fleet and the primary cornerstone for system defense in the more backwater regions of Protectorate space. With a modest armament of dual turbolasers and two powerful ion cannons, the Excubitor is free to engage in targets from nearly any angle. This versatility, of course, makes it difficult to bring the majority of its guns to bear on a single target, but that is the price to pay for a capable, adaptable ship.

I have to question the height of this thing. It doesn't seem like it would be 250 meters tall. It's definitely longer than it is wide, and definitely wider than it is tall.

As well, most cruisers would have a maneuverability rating of around 6 or 7. Most Corvettes won't see a dip in their speed and maneuverability below 4 or 5.

Otherwise, its armament and complement look good. Might wanna run through again and check for typos.
