Description:

The Examen-class Starfighter is a highly efficient and excellent fighter for space superiority roles. Designed and manufactured by Lussk Logistics, the Examen-class boasts a simple trio of medium laser cannons that are nicely complemented by a single ion cannon for disabling other ships. As for launchers, the pair of warhead launchers were specially fitted to contain an arsenal of four buzz droid discord missiles. These missiles, when launched, guided towards their locked on enemy and exploded upon them to release a cloud of seven buzz droids each. The warheads in the discord missiles boasted a "smart missile" design which allowed the warheads to guide themselves out of enemy point-defense fire and track on to enemy fighters and capital ships.

The buzz droids that these ships were famous for, had an outer coating of heat dissipating alloy which allowed them to slip past the shields of an enemy vessel to latch onto the hull with magnetic pads and begin disabling the starship. The droids were only meant to disable, not destroy enemy fighters and ships, which specified their programming to attack shield systems, life support, navigation, sensor, and communication arrays. All droids were programmed with an adequate knowledge of most ship systems and were capable of recognizing friendly fighters and vessels via Friend-or-Foe identification.

Fast, agile, and small, the Examen-class was a superior fighter in space warfare. However, it lacked sufficient armament and shielding to defend against enemy fighters and point-defense weaponry. If the pilot was smart enough, he/she could work in sync with his astromech droid to evenly disperse the energy readings and double their shield's power at the expense of speed and maneuverability.

Hm. So we have an X-Wing style strike fighter with buzz droids instead of proton torps that can juice the shields at the cost of mobility. Unless your measurements are terribly off, I don't see anything wrong here.

Approved, pending a staff stamp.
