STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
+ Instinctual - Eva can easily catch on to lies, deceit, and general manipulation
+ Multilingual & Cultural - Her education has resulted in her knowing many different languages, alongside being fairly knowledgeable about the customs & traditions of other species.
+- Force Sensitive - While not trained, she does have some experience using some of the more basic aspects of the Force. This includes growing plants, minor healing, and telekinesis.
- Fear Of Crowds - Eva hates crowds. In fact, it terrifies her. Even more so if she is part of the attention of the said crowd.
- A Bit Weak - She isn't as strong as many Chirons, likely due to her subrace. Her father always said their race had traded their horns in for a weaker body.
- Minor PTSD/Depression - The rather sudden escape from her homeworld, the razing of Coruscant, and the proceeding planet hopping has left a permanent dent in her mind. Bad sleep, bad dreams, and other issues that come from that trauma haunt her frequently.
APPEARANCE
Smaller than Chirons of her race, her lower half is a beautiful chestnut color – minus large, white splotches that dot her legs and body.
On her upper half, the woman is soft, tender, but fairly fit. Beautiful blue eyes with a near pinkish blonde hair, which reached well below her back. She has long, rounded ears - a family trait.Her right eye has a unique, pure white color around it.
Typically, she wears a 'coat' that covers the equine portion of her body down to her mid-legs while she wears some form of shirt/sweatshirt/etc that matches the bottom portion.
BIOGRAPHY
Evangeline was 10 years old when her family packed their things in the middle of the night. In all truth, she didn’t remember much. Just her father shaking her awake, a look of fear in his eyes. “They’re here,” he croaked out. Eva still wasn’t sure what all he meant. The Sith solidified their influence on the planet, sure, but what did that have to do with them?
Why would it matter? Either way – they were on a flight out of the system and towards Coruscant. A refuge in democracy & light. They were poor, being refugees from a Sith occupied planet. Their community was already small, but the smaller subrace was even smaller. They found themselves somewhat discriminated against, despite being in a community of familiarity.
But that didn’t stop Eva from continuing to excel in her elementary classes. In particular, she excelled in languages, medicine, and biology. One of her favorite teachers showed her how amazing biology was - including alien biology. But really – it was amazing how much diversity existed in the galaxy. There was just so much she didn’t know!
At 14, she entered Coruscanti Private School that primarily had Chironian students. She excelled, yet again, in courses - and chose a path of biology and xeno studies. Sadly, due to her race, she has no horns. A seemingly essential component to any Chiron, it resulted in bullying against her due to her differences. It was hard, but she dived herself into school and her extracurricular activities. She also participated in several volunteering organizations for the disadvantaged. She also won several medals in Racing. Regrettably, at 16, she broke her leg in an accident during a race that resulted in a fear of large crowds, being the center of public gatherings, etc.
At 18, she enrolled in college – specifically a dual major in xeno studies & biology. There, she perfected her mastery of biology and specifically of xeno studies, including learning multiple languages that are used across the galaxy. She couldn’t be a doctor. But she could be a medic, or perhaps a translator, or even a researcher. Researching would probably be fun! One thing she'd never be, though, is a historian. History was not something she was fond of or good at - indeed, the general events that happened in history were mostly unknown to her. She knew the cultures, but not their history.
2 years into her education and the worst of things happened – the Alliance fell. Coruscant was razed, burning. Most of her family managed to escape. Sadly, brother was killed during the raze by falling debris.
It was one of the most tragic moments in her family, despite her family fleeing her homeworld. They fled, bouncing around the chaos of the core worlds until they finally reached a stable government on Carida. Transferring to a university there was easy, at least, and she dived into her studies as a way to avoid the trauma, guilt, and depression that had crept into her life due to the death of her brother.
At 24, she finished her education. But, with the realization that she had experienced little of the world – at least, the good in the world, she decided to venture off Carida and explore the galaxy some herself.
There, she met [member="Kay Arenais"] on. A wonderful woman who offered her a position to help research & develop teas but also assist the store, particularly when [member="Doyle"] was off world.
