Easy to manuever in enclosed spaces

Single Shot and Burst Fire.

Mild Ion Effect, capable of damaging personal shields and droids.

Extremely painful stun setting

Coated in synthetic ceramic material that makes it difficult to detect with most military scanners

Strengths:

Do you see it?: The Carbine fires reduced glare bolts that make it very hard to track unless one is very close, at least within fifty meters. This can make ambushes by squads of people armed with this weapon difficult to counter, not just because of the above, but because it's frame is coated in reflec, making it nearly impossible to detect with military scanners. Lastly, its compact design makes it easy to conceal under coats and inside small cases. It's also designed to be easy to disassemble and reassemble, aiding in getting it past detection.

High Damage: Its default semi-auto setting allows it to possibly punch through most conventional heavy armors. Even in its burst fire setting it retains the strength of an average blaster rifle. In addition it has a mild ion effect, making it damaging to droids as well. It also comes with an extremely painful stun setting that has a near guaranteed chance of leaving all but the hardiest of individuals, physically or psychologically, writhing in agony.

Accurate: Will generally go where the rifle is pointed, even in burst fire, provided the user is of sufficient strength to control the recoil. Its scope has a 5x variable zoom.

Ricochet: This weapon provides a specialized sniping function...by switching to this setting the blaster bolts will now ricochet off hard surfaces this setting will function regardless of fire setting should the user wish. The scope's path line will turn red if the scanner within detects an enemy in the ricochet path. This can allow ambushes to play out like a deadly game of billiards against targets, especially if one is using both this and the burst fire setting

Low Recoil: Its weight gives it a naturally low recoil. Even on burst setting its recoil is manageable

Easy to learn: The rifle was designed with the general infantry in mind, moving through packed urban areas or enclosed spaces or guard detail. It is meant to be useful in nearly all situations the general infantry might encounter, whether it requires highly accurate fire before a threat can close the distance or snipe, or for suppressive situations, all while retaining stopping power. Most who train with it learn it in less than two days, reducing the amount of time necessary to train a soldier to be combat ready and is also easy to clean, with a rugged frame resistant to extended use and the environment.

Weaknesses:

Range: As it is a carbine, its range is not as high as dedicated assault blasters.

Hard to master: It may be easy to learn and use but truly becoming a force to be reckoned with through creatively using its features in different combinations can take longer than one might think.

Reload: It can take about four seconds for the tibanna gas cannister clip to feed into the weapon on reload. This can be four seconds longer than you want.

Slightly hard to repair. While it is easy to get the weapon's basic functions working, its more exotic features, such as its ricochet functions and scope may be more difficult to repair, forcing the user to resort to iron sights. Also, if damaged, its reflec coating is not as effective

Ammo size: The clips are large, limiting how many can be stored on one's self

Weight: Though compact, its weight as well as the weight of its ammo may wear on the user if forced to use it for extended periods.

DESCRIPTION

The Arenais Series General Purpose Heavy Carbine is designed for Infantry moving through packed urban environments, guarding bases and checkpoints and emergency sniping situations and suppressive fire, while being somewhat difficult to damage and somewhat easy to restore its basic settings to working function, as well as being extremely easy to learn and use. Though held back by its range, deceptively learning curve, reload time, weight of both the weapon and its ammo the ones who its been given to for testing generally like its qualities, nicknaming it the Eternal Pressire. The Amalgam gifted Serial Number One to her bestie, [member="Kay Arenais"], and kept the second model for herself, the rest being distributed for manufacture by the Empire to be distributed to Infantry not expected to fight at very long ranges but nonetheless need a hard hitting weapon in an emergency
