Jorg had never particularly liked Escort Duty, prison escort duty even less. There was an extra special amount of pain that went along with it. Mostly because the entire thing focused around protecting someone you likely didn't even know.
Most people including soldiers, didn't particularly care about other people. It was a bit harsh, but...well it was what you needed to do when in war. You cared about those closest to you, fellow soldiers, squadmates, maybe a commander or two, but that was it. Those that you had never met, and particularly civilians, didn't exactly register on the radar. Of course that was only made worse when the person you were escorting was a prisoner.
"What did this guy do again?"
The voice echoed in his helmet as Jorg slowly stepped off the ramp of his cruiser, his head swiveling to glance back at his men.
"Sith Lord." He said quietly into the radio. The idea of that was...unsettling. Just a short few years ago Jorg had worked for the One Sith himself. He had been a regular Trooper but...well things had been rather brutal. This man that they were going to escort came from the higher ups, the One Sith. He wouldn't recognize Jorg of course, but there was still something off about all of it. "He was captured during the Siege of Coruscant."
After Jorg and his squad had deserted. "We'll be taking him to Sullust for trial."
Something that should have been done months ago.
Luckily the 5th Legion wasn't alone on this particular day, some detachments from the GADF following alongside them. That wasn't ordinar, usually the Alliance sent either the Defense Force of the 5th Legion, but when transporting a Sith you could never be too careful.
