Escher Tower Waltz, Vol 2: You're in my world now, not yours...

As Adenn quickly ate most of the food on his plate he observed the pink haired man from earlier enter the room, but it didn't distract the bounty hunter from taking one last bite of his food, as he set his fork on the plate in front of him as he slowly leant back a small amount so it appeared his back was straight, eyes glancing around the room as [member="Hijinks"] started speaking. As the pink haired man finished speaking Adenn smirked 'The greatest hell my mind can muster? That shouldn't be too bad.' quickly the bounty hunter put a hand up to his face, wiping it across in an attempt to get the smirk off his face.

Joelle squeaked when her adopted mommy covered her eyes, then got up and hugged her, "Morning, mommy. We're having pancakes."

 

[Carliah Dakrone]

"Pancakes, eh? Sounds yummy," Carliah replied, taking a seat beside her daughter. She smiled at the little girl as she piled some food onto her own plate. She was pretty hungry whenever she woke up in the morning. She glanced around, searching for Jink as she ate. The kitty was no where to be seen. She wondered what exactly his purpose was in bringing all of these people to Escher. [member="Joelle Dain"] [member="Hijinks"]

 

[Hijinks]

Jink saw Carliah approach Joelle from behind, and chuckled to himself as he watched the two of them talk. He was glad they were here, but maybe a little worried at what might happen if somebody here recognized his red queen as a Sith. He was suddenly very aware of the beskar helmet on the table, as well as the two of his guests that seemed to know each other. He suddenly wondered if he'd made a mistake, bringing these people here. If it came to a fight, he could probably protect himself and his little family with his knowledge of the doors, but that would mean possibly going rather deeper into the castle than he would've liked.

"Well, you must not have much of an imagination, then, Vod... All men have their hell in their imagination. It's simply a matter of applying it. But that'll only be if something very wrong happens. Otherwise, this should feel like a fun little rest from the galaxy."

[Adenn Gra'tua]

After successfully wiping the smirk off of his own face Adenn noticed a woman behind the young girl, but he didn't pay much attention to her, as he heard the pink haired man speak to him, quickly picking out the word Vod in his sentence, slowly pushing his plate away from him, showing that he was done eating for now, the bounty hunter spoke "Well, as long as something doesn't go wrong then we'll all be fine then." Adenn said, feigning a cheerful voice as he picked up his helmet and stared into its visor plate for a moment, thinking about why [member="Hijinks"] had used the word vod, as they weren't exactly brothers or comrades, before turning back to the pink haired man for another moment, scratching his chin as he turned to his helmet again "But I'm more than ready to get started, as long as everyone else is ready though."

Joelle heard [member="Adenn Gra'tua"] and stood up, a little shorter then when she was sitting, but still standing all the same, and spoke up, a mischievous but kind smile spread on her face, "I'm ready!" She looked down at what looked like a watch and clicked a button. A minute later, Amity flew into the room and landed on its mistress's shoulder.

Carliah ate quickly before standing as well. She rested her hand on Joelle's shoulder and turned to Jink now that she knew where he was. The Mad Queen smiled as she replied to him.

"I suppose that means I'm ready now too," The Miraluka smiled mischievously at Jink as she said the words. [member="Joelle Dain"] [member="Adenn Gra'tua"] @Hijinks

 

[Corruck Kazen]

Corruck stood, checking himself over again. He didn't know why he kept doing that, but he did. He guessed that it was because of the idea that this place was strange and he expected something odd to happen.

Turning towards the pink haired man, Corruck would join in, "I am ready as well." He still wondered what was to come, but he got the funny feeling that it was not going to be much fun.

Joelle smiled, her blue eyes filled with excitement. "Yay!" She was excited to see how this would turn out, if a little frightened too.

Jink winked at Carliah, and suddenly stood on the back of his throne-ish chair, perched on the little embellishments. With the Force, he gripped the handle of the nearest door, and it opened easily. He waved at it with a flourish, and grinned toothily.

"Well, ladies and gentlemen, that is the first stop. Nobody here is allergic to plants, I hope."

Without waiting for anyone, Joelle ran through the door, her (and Amity's) excitement no longer contained as she ran into whatever foliage was there.

[Adenn Gra'tua]

Adenn looked around the room as everyone decided to continue through the already strange structure, slightly surprised as the man did not expect a majority of the people to want to continue yet, but he was not against it as he had already decided that there would probably be some interesting places hidden away inside the doors here, something that the bounty hunter would normally not feel so well about, and he still didn't, he just was ready to leave if he got too bad a feeling. Looking down to the helmet in his hands Adenn decided to put it back on, deciding that he probably wouldn't need to take it off for sometime, a small hiss marking the resealed state of his armor, a slight nod to himself as all the read outs of his armor were normal, and as his eyes wandered he saw [member="Hijinks"] using the force to open a nearby door something the bounty hunter wasn't too comfortable with yet, as there had been a few people in the mans' past that used the force, most notably the man that had cut off his arms, and Ordo, who had betrayed the mandalorians for the sith. Shrugging those thought away Adenn hooked a thumb in his belt as he watched the young girl run into the door blindly, chuckling inside the confines of his suit as he though of all the things that could have gone wrong in that moment, quickly glancing at everyone as he spoke to himself "I don't ever remember having that much energy when I was younger." before entering the door after [member="Joelle Dain"].

[Corruck Kazen]

Corruck silently, contemplatively walked through the door into the underbrush. It was strange, for him to walk into an area with more forested area right after being in a building area. He was trying to understand how it was possible, though he had the faint feeling that it was Force related. He assumed that there was nothing too dangerous within these halls, though he guessed that there would be many strange things, if only based on the people that lived here. He felt for his pistol again, of course he would not use it. Unless something decided to attack him. He preferred to play defensive. That was why as he walked into the new room he looked around quickly, scanning the area and looking for cover and possible ambush points.

Amity was flittering around one of the trees, giving away Joelle's position, perched up in one of the trees, and smiling innocently. She watched everyone else come through the doors, wondering if she should pounce on either [member="Hijinks"] or [member="Darth Vivaldi"]. She was small and light, but couldn't hide her force aura very well yet, since she had not been training fully yet. But that didn't stop her from climbing trees regularly.

Jink smiled up at Joelle, mentally trying to count how long it'd taken his daughter to get in that tree. As soon as he could see his guests going past, into the underbrush, he winked at Carliah and leapt up into the tree with a muffled thump. He managed to nest himself in between two branches, and hung upside down so he could talk to his adopted kitten.

"You're actually a squirrel or something, aren't you, kitten?"

Joelle giggled, her mirth infectious, "Kittens climb trees too, daddy, but I can be a squirrel too, right?" She laughed and scurried down few branches and swing to the next tree, egging her daddy to chase her.

Jink followed his kitten down the tree, free-falling along the trunk until he gently stopped and leapt lightly onto the next tree. With a laugh, he walked across the branches to Joelle's perch.

"Obviously, you're both, kiddo."

Carliah laughed and followed them on the ground. She could climb trees, but she wasn't about to do so in a dress. She smiled up at Joelle and Jink as they chased each other through the trees.

"Careful not to fall! I don't want either of you getting hurt!" She called up to them as they continued to play. [member="Joelle Dain"] [member="Hijinks"]

 

[Hijinks]

Jink smiled down at his red queen, hanging upside down again to kiss her on the nose. His hand reached out to brush Carliah's cheek, and his arm looped around her shoulders.

"Well, it's not likely that either of us is gonna fall."

He reached his other arm around her, and righted himself on the ground.

"You wanna watch from up there with me?"

[Corruck Kazen]

Corruck silently watched the strange family play on the trees. Things were certainly getting stranger and stranger by the minute. He questioned the logic in coming here. He wondered whether or not this was real, but he knew it was.

He could tell that the family was very tight-knit. That was something at least. He wished that such things were possible for him, but it was practically impossible. His life was just too erratic to drag others into it.

Then the strange man lowered himself to the ground. Corruck was fairly certain that it was simply Force manipulation, but it was still quite intimidating to see it happening. Corruck didn't believe the question was targeted at him, so he simply stayed quiet.
