OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create the home city of The Host.
  • Canon: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: The Host, The Inhabited, Inhabited Chyth, Meer
SETTING INFORMATION
  • City Name: Erde
  • Classification: Metropolis (note total size however (see historical information))
  • Location: Beneath the surface of the ocean planet Meer (underground)
  • Affiliation: The Host, The Inhabited, Inhabited Chyth
  • Population: Heavy, 4.5 trillion sentient/semi-sentient lifeforms
  • Demographics: Extremely xenophobic; primarily inhabited by Hosts, 66% of total population, secondary citizens include The Hiveless and Half-breeds (see The Inhabited), 32% of total population, and outsiders, Inhabited Chyth along with the lesser inhabited make up the slave population, 2% of total population.
  • Wealth: High, utilizing slave-labor, large deposits of minerals, metals, and other resources are mined up and traded to outsiders. (Usually done by Verdende Clan Hosts in the land-village of Ufer. (see Ufer))
  • Stability: Medium; Outsiders are generally unwelcome and typically seen as lesser beings fit only for the mines. Typically the largest clans are seen as lower class, aside from the Trumpette, Whitecap, and Puffball clans as they generally cannot control their volume of “single-minded individuals.” The highest class clans are Guilde-Cap and Whitecap clans respectively, but the Whitecap clan is secondary to Guilde-cap clan, who are natural leaders among all of The Hosts. Lesser clans were still considered higher class than that of half-breeds and the Hiveless, which in turn were considered higher class than slaves and lesser Inhabited.
  • Freedom & Oppression: The air of the city is full of political and economical tensions between the clans, the Hiveless, and the slaves who still had their own minds. Guilde-cap clan members sit in the highest position of authority, and rule Erde with a “gilded-fist” as they like to call it. While most of the clans don’t outright fear Guilde-cap clan’s authority, the lowest of the clans, Verdende and Mudcap clans respectively, do. That said, Violetta clan do question the decisions made by Guilde-cap clan on occasion with minimal backlash, it is worth noting that Violetta clan sits in the third-highest rank in class among all the clans however.
  • Description: Large dwellings crammed into a relatively small crevasse. Very green.
POINTS OF INTEREST
[ What areas within the city are significant? Give a description of any locations listed. You can link structures you've made, or create them on the spot here and provide location entries for them later if desired. ]

SECURITY
Medium; the city of Erde may lack practical defenses, it does have the hulking brutes that are the inhabited Chyth, which are all controlled by Hosts through the use of host-spores and telepathic communication. Chyth themselves are fairly formidable creatures, but inhabited Chyth have a weakness to fire as all Host-lifeforms have (See inhabited Chyth).
Bear in mind, the location of the city itself is an important factor, as it is deep beneath the surface of the planet, and can only be entered through a single small cave opening that does have practical defenses, such as a handful of basic auto-targeting laser-turrets that have thermal sensors installed within them.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description on the city's history here. Detail how it came to be created and why. Talk about the people involved in this city's history and expansion; and what role it played and still plays. For historical cities, if you so desire, you can include events from the Chaos Canon timeline or board history where appropriate. ]
