Lightsaber
Silas had supposedly been away from the Order for a while, but when he got word that Jasper had returned from his unplanned departure he quickly made contact and requested a visit. Jasper, of course, wasn't going to say no. Especially to one of his oldest friends. It had been too long, and Jasper had much to share. He kept it simple for Silas's arrival. The door was unlocked, all but ready for his arrival whenever he set down on the landing pad, and he had already broken out one of his good bottles of alcohol, an aged bottle of Chadian rum. Rum was always a good mixer, so he was squirreled away behind his kitchen counter preparing a collection of things to throw together cocktails if his friend wanted to.

And thus the stage was set for Silas's arrival. Simple, but Jasper knew that was the preferred way to go about it. After all, with so much history between the two of them there really was no other way to go about reconnecting than simply sitting down and talking over a drink.

Best not to over-complicate things.

It had been a while, long enough to forget how long this crusade against pirate villainy had lasted. Maybe it had been months, even years, since leaving on that ship. Time waited for no one, and the same could be said for the pirates that were unlucky enough to run into the determined knight. So many had already faced justice thanks to Silas, as well as hideouts that had been destroyed by him alone. Their network was scattered and rapidly breaking down. Before long, the pressure would be crippling for all involved in that schemes.

However, at some point on this quest for redemption, Silas needed to rest and gather himself.

After a recent raid on a safehouse on Virujansi, he was calling for a pickup of the pirates that had been captured when one of the operators notified him of some intriguing news. A long lost Jedi Master had been found, someone by the name of Jasper Kai'el. To say Silas was shocked was an understatement. Before leaving for his journey, the news had broken out that his friend was missing. A part of him wanted to stay and help find him, but a big part of him knew Jasper would understand the task he was undertaking.

At no did he believe his buddy was dead...

Making sure the operator gave Jasper the news of his visit, he soon broke through the atmosphere of Jaspers homeplanet a few days later. It was going to be strange talking to Jasper again, let alone another Jedi. As mentioned before, it had been some time since interacting with his brothers and friends. Nonetheless, the two of them had much to catch up on, especially in regards to where had had been all this time.

Coming to a slow stop above the landing pad, Silas's ship slowly lowered to a halt and shut down. The kinght casually jumped out of his ship and dusted off his old galatic alliance jacket off with a deep breath. It would have been a lie to say he was at least a bit nervous, but that was only natural all things considered. Brushing that aside, he finally walked to the open door with a smirk and leaned up against the doorway.

"Well, it was a matter of time you finally came back..." the knight said to him with a fabricated serious tone and facial expression.

"Oh, quit being coy and get in here," Jasper remarked with a laugh. "Tell me what you want in your rum, yeah?"

Jasper couldn't help but take note of the mannerisms of his friend. He was going for the faux-serious routine, but there was a hint of underlying nervousness in there. What was that? That certainly wasn't ever anything he had gotten out of Silas before. More had occurred while he was away, it seemed.

"Is that your old jacket?" he noted, his grey eyes briefly settling on the alliance apparel he had always known Silas to sport when they had been more constant rivals. "I'm shocked it still fits you. I thought you would have grown a little taller since then."

Like Jasper had much room to talk. He hadn't grown an inch. Still, it was fun to prod at. It reminded him a little of old times.

Rolling his eyes, Silas slowly walked inside and went over to Jasper at the counter. "I was only admiring your beard, geez," the knight said jokingly before looking at the rum. "Hm, I think I'll have it by itself. It's been a while since I've had any form of alcohol" he said with a brief scratch of his newly formed beard. Since leaving, the knight had let it blossom instead of shaving it straight off, and to say the least, it seemed to suit him well.

"Of course it is, I barely go anywhere without it," remarked Silas while casually looking down at himself "I'd argue I'm almost as tall as you now, but I doubt we both want to spend all night debating that fact" both of them were around the same height, with Jasper possibly being only slightly taller. Silas would never admit that to him, considering he always blamed it on the boots he was wearing.

Sighing, Silas didn't hesitate to finally move forward and bring his long time friend in for a hug "I've missed you my friend, for a moment I thought the pair of us would never finish our rivalry" Silas said sarcastically, his hand giving him a few slaps on the back before pulling away "Tell me, what kind of trouble kept you away for so long?"

"You know, the usual," Jasper sighed. "Getting whisked away by some beings beyond our comprehension of time to fight the dark creation of the ancient Sith that nearly killed my bloodline."

He returned the hug before turning his attention back to the matter of preparing their drinks. He had some past in mixology, but this wasn't the occasion to do anything super complex. Jasper kept it simple, Rum and Coke. It was high quality rum. He handed a glass to Silas before sitting down.

"Not to play... well, any of that off," he shrugged. "I guess I'm still going through the processing phase."

"Excuse me?" he said with surprise while moving over to a seat after the hug. "Well, I hope none of them were related to me," Silas joked in reference to his bloodline, which for a very long time was Sith. During his Padawan days, he managed to investigate it with Valery, even getting the chance to meet one who had long become a Force ghost. A family heirloom started it all off, and at some point in the future, he was sure it would do the same again.

His past would need to be revisited. Not until he had finished up with his pirate problems first.

Sipping on the drink, his mouth formed a satisfied smile from the taste before looking back up at Jasper with curiosity. "Please, if you're comfortable, tell me about it. I presume they must have kept you trapped somewhere all this time, right?" Knowing Jasper's luck, they probably threw him into some kind of pocket dimension full of unspeakable horrors.

"Did you finish what you set out to start?"
