System Features: Enigma Prime. So named because of its exceeding rare figure eight like orbit around a binary star system. Its path through and around the duo of star exerts rather strong magnetic forces on the planet. Due to these forces, Enigma Prime has a large amount of volcanic and geological activity. Not enough to cover the planet in a layer of smoke, ash, and dust. But enough that no land mass is ever stable for long.

These forces have created an exceptionally unique world. Both in the biology present, as well as the geology.

GEOLOGY

Geologically, the world is packed full of natural wonders in the form of vast deposits of minerals, and precious metals thanks to the abundant volcanic activity constantly bringing new resources to the surface.

Of the more well know minerals, a few particularly rare types of crystals call Enigma Prime home. Those being stygium crystals, force crystals, and a couple different types of lightsaber crystals. Huge crystal cave networks can be found all over the planet in the form of dead lava tubes, partially collapsed and cooled magma chambers, to underwater rivers that have carved out tunnels to reveal the crystals below. The latter though are rather rare due to the constant geological activity collapsing most, if not all caves eventually.

The constantly pulling and tugging of the two stars on the planet has not only caused large amounts of volcanic activity, but those forces have also led to the development of the rare stygium crystals. Though the exact reason why stygium crystals exist in only a couple places in the galaxy has never been determined, it can be postulated that the radiation from the two different types of stars may have had something to do with the physical makeup of certain materials.

Especially in the early years when the planet was still developing and didn't have a strong magnetosphere to shield it from the stars powerful radiation blasts. This blast of radiation could also have taken place as the smaller pieces of debris passed between star while on intercept courses with the planet. This theory doesn't seem to hold a lot of credit though, and has very few supporters.

Another theory is, that with the constant activity raging on within the planets core, perhaps it isn't radiation as much as it is the blending of two or more other types of crystals. A certain area full of different crystals suddenly becomes active again as that gravitational forces of the sister stars start to stretch and pull at the planet. Those different crystal formations then fuse together, and in the cooling process become altered and turn into stygium crystals. This theory has by far more credit to it, and a lot more support.

Research into this phenomenon will still need to be done to confirm either of these theories. But so far, that is what has been thought could be the processes to bring about the rare type of crystal. Research will not be forthcoming any time soon though, as STI doesn't really care how the crystals got there. The company is simply glad to know they are there.

It is also interesting to note that while precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum, titanium and such do exist on this planet. They are in comparatively small amounts. And rare metals such as beskar, ultrachrome, cortosis, or phrik do not exist here at all. Even common metals such as aluminum and iron, which are so easily found throughout the galaxy, are found in decidedly smaller deposits than on other worlds.

Indeed the planet had developed along a primarily crystalline path. Just about any and every gemstone and crystal can be found here. With notable exceptions being minerals and gems specifically noted to be planet specific.

TERRAIN

About 37% of the planet is covered in shallow seas. The water quality is such, that they are unable to support life outside of basic microbial lifeforms and some types of algae. The mineral content and life forms that do exist make for some rather spectacularly colored rock formations near the surface and/or waters edge.
Grand-Prismatic-Spring-Yellowstone-4.jpg

That's not to say the freshwater sources don't exist. There in fact plenty of small freshwater streams and lakes that dot the landscape from here to there. It is just highly unlikely you will ever spot a large, unspoiled, and established freshwater source due the the geological activity of the planet. These freshwater sources are major gathering points for the wildlife that does exist, due to their fairly hard to find, and ever shifting nature.

The forever active core also means the planet benefits from a strong magnetosphere. Auroras can be seen almost nightly over most of the planet. Though the closer you get the the equator, the less frequent they become.

c733bd07b4a39051f8c3745f238f31e8.jpg

Due to the seismic nature of this world, the main land masses are dominated by mountainous terrain. Some areas have sheer cliffs that climb almost vertically into the sky upwards of 8,000 meters or more. Other areas are more plateau like in nature. While the majority are your standard looking mountains. Still, the average mountain range is anywhere from 5,000-6,000 meters. With the tallest peak on the planet capping out at 17,531 meters, and the lowest point being 76 meters below sea level.

BIOLOGY

Biologically, the world is dominated by exotic, fast growing conifer like forests. And the animals that ruled over the land masses are pterasaurs. Reptilian around the equatorial regions, and mammalian the farther north or south you go. The animals being primarily flying type creatures, are able to easily move from one habitable location to the next. Always being sure to avoid areas that are beginning to show signs of becoming volcanically active.

The plant life have developed a most unusual way to survive the harsh environment of Enigma Prime. First, most plants are able to fully develop within 700 local days. Even the large trees are able to fully mature within 1,200 days. This ensures they are able to fully develop before the planet moves in between the two planets while performing its figure eight orbit, where the gravitational forces cause large amounts of volcanic activity.

After maturing the plants and trees quickly grow seed pods. Many of these fruits bear somewhat similar resemblance to the air sacks one would see on kelp in the oceans. These lightweight pods however are filled with hydrogen. So if they are not eaten by the many types of flying animals, and their seeds deposited throughout the landscape after being excreted by the creatures. They will break away from the parents trees or plants and float on the air current to far away areas. In this way, they ensure the species can continue to start over in new areas despite old areas being destroyed by new volcanic activity.

Though this is the primary method seen used by most the plant life. Other forms of transportation does exist too. Some take the approach our dandelions do, instead of floating on the wind with hydrogen balloons. Still others, produce seed pods with tiny barbs that allow them to stick to the fur or skin of the animals that approach to pollinate. The pods eventually fall off later and attempt to grow where they land.

It is in these diverse ways that life finds a way, despite the otherwise inhospitable conditions provided by the planet.

A few notable species can be found below.

WEATHER

The weather on this planet is also interesting. With the many mountain ranges covering the land masses, the general temperature is cool. It very rarely rises above 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit, even during the hottest months as the planet passes in between the two stars. However, especially in the polar regions, it can dip down to minus 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Thanks to the cooler temperatures of this world as well as the terrain, hurricanes, typhoons, and tornadoes are very rare. Snow storms on the other hand can be common depending on where you are. Even equatorial regions are known to get the occasional, albeit brief dustings of snow during the coldest months of the long year. While the polar regions are susceptible to blizzards that can go on for a couple weeks at a time, and dump 3-6 meters of snow in a single storm.

There is a fair amount of humidity in the air despite the cooler temperatures. Due to this, it rains often if it's not snowing. A fact that helps to keep the air clear of the ash and dust constantly being kicked up somewhere around the planet. Along with the rain, strong lightning storms are a common sight throughout the planets skies.

By volume, dry air contains 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.039% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases. Air also contains a variable amount of water vapor, on average around 1%.

SOLAR SYSTEM

This planet is technically the first planet in a system of seven planets. Unlike Enigma Prime though, the other six planets orbit completely around the two stars in a normal circular orbit. The orbit of the two stars works as follows. There is the primary star in the center of the system. It is a massive star.

A smaller star then orbits around that. In between this orbit, lies Enigma Prime. It orbits around the primary star until it comes to the smaller star. At which point, Enigma Prime is pulled from its normal orbit, to move around the smaller star before being sent back on its way around the primary star.

The next six planets lie well beyond this smaller star.

The second planet is a gas giant. With a radius of about 72,000 km, this monster can actually be faintly seen from Enigma Prime even during the day when their orbits bring them into close proximity with each other. Scans indicate it would be a prime candidate for gas mining operations for blaster packs and other specialty uses. It is also suspected planet once held many moons. However, the huge gravitational forces the planet exhibited eventually crushed them through extreme tidal forces. The remnants of those moons are now scattered debris which form the beautiful rings surrounding the planet.
bgt001.jpg

The third planet is of little worth in noting, as it doesn't posses any resources of significant value in any great quantities. However, it is an intriguing planet when it comes to astronomical sightings as it bears the scars of an ancient collision of monumental proportions. The small moon it now possesses is the final proof of this great assault on what was probably a simple planet. It is also noteworthy to say that the planet itself does still possess a thin atmosphere. Though anyone not able to survive in low air pressure environments venturing out onto its surface, would still need an oxygen mask, or equivalent.

In between the third and fourth planet, and the sixth and seventh planet, also lies large asteroid fields. Initial scans indicate they too are resource rich and prime targets for mining craft.

The fourth and fifth planets are also not of serious interesting. Both being smaller icy worlds, neither capable of sustaining an atmosphere. Some resources exist, but nothing like what can be easily accessed in the two asteroid belts, nor the bounty to be had on Enigma Prime.

The sixth planet, although having the appearance of a gas giant, isn't one. It just has a very dense atmosphere which completely conceals the land beneath it from the naked eye. Sensors are still able to detect the ground beneath the thick later of gasses.

The seventh planet bares similarities to the third in that it too seems to have been struck by a large solar body. Unlike the third planet though. It managed to survive its close encounter. And although the planet still bares the scars of the "attack". It is slowly but surely on the mend, and has grown larger with added material from the impact on the backside of the planet.

The system itself was even difficult for probes to detect as it resided within a huge gaseous nebula. The large clouds of dust, hydrogen, helium, and other ionized gases making it difficult for sensors to pierce through the protective cover. Seemingly appropriate circumstances, considering the most interesting resource that exists here, and its primary function in society.

NOTES

The planets location is a highly classified secret, and fiercely protected by Ice. He had been looking for a new planet to mine materials for his up and coming projects. When this planet was discovered, he quickly moved to have all files about it destroyed, except that which he kept on his personal data pad. With this valuable planets location still a secret to the rest of the galaxy, he is able to plan an organize the first mining operation to go to this world.

Even after mining operations have started, there will be rather extreme measures taken by STI to ensure outsiders cannot track down the convoys and find the location of this planet.

...this is the planets template. Its almost identical to the other one. But if you notice there are a few extra portions in the beginning.

Now onto the edits

You have no reasoning for stygium and why it should be allowed on the planet. As per the rules restricted materials require a solid reasoning. Please give one or remove it

Please define what types of metals and gems can be found fully. We are not giving you a blank check to mine anything you want. As you are trying for one restricted material already there cannot be a second on the planet.

The history will have to be expanded, this is adding to the lore of the site and given the location of this planet you will have to explain how it has not been found or discovered given the factions that are near that area. The factions are always looking and pre dark age exploration.

All creatures on the planet will need to be documented. As there is life both plant and creature on it talk about them. You explained some but it they are new species they will require a species submission.

The major locations require at least a paragraph please expand this.

Force nexuses require a reasoning and large explanation. Entire planets are no longer accepted without a dev thread or some substantial work put into them. If you want to keep this a force location a dev thread of 100 posts will be required. Or this may be edited to a single well explained location on the planet, or removed entirely.

As it stands in your character can know the location but it will all still be required in the submission. All information should be plain to see and available for all readers OOC. If you want to hide it IC that is fine but we the codex require everything.

@Mention me when these edits are made.

Coordinates added.
Classification changed to class.

My reason for stygium crystals. Delilla said my planet could have them. That doesn't mean my character has them. Ergo the restricted rule doesn't apply.

None of the other crystals are restricted items. Also earth has how many types of minerals and metals? Do I really need to list the entire periodic table of elements for this planet? The only items of real interest are the many crystals I mentioned.

As for the location. Its not an actual location. It is just where the mobile mining equipment happens to be. Not an actual city or town.

Dev threads are not required for planetary submissions as of 4 days ago. Even your own planet sub not 10 days old doesn't have a Dev thread. Nor has there been any staff announcement that I have seen, been posted to say so. So unless there is something I missed, if you require one now, I'll take that point to higher staff and report it.

My little bit about the stronger presence of the force will be removed.

And as for animals and plant life. I will be subbing those later. This sub is for a planet though. Not plants and animals. You can't sub for plants and animals without a planet for them to reside on.

I believe that covers all the points. Anything else?

The planet is in the unknown regions, as I said. So it simply hasn't been found until the probes ice sent out found it, as I also said.

Edit: I apologize. I was wrong about writing the part that Ice sent probes out to search. I had it written in my notebook, but that detail never made it to the some for some reason. Adding it now.

Still, the fact the planet is in the unknown regions should be reason enough for why it hasn't been found yet.

Major Exports: <What other planets frequently buy from this planet. Tourism is an option. Restricted substances require a thorough rationale and potentially some form of development thread, and multiple restricted substances likely would not be approved.>
Read the underlined section. Dells saying you could have it on the planet is not a valid reason why it would or should be allowed. Remove it or provide a valid reason.

My planet did not require a dev thread because it held neither restricted materials, force nexus locations, chance of rare metals and minerals. Even then it is noted we can ask for development threads as needed or wanted. Your plants and animals can be subbed without the planet approved, it has been done like that plenty we wait and withhold judgement while the one judging the species does their work and judges discuss.

For the location if it is mobile describe the machine. If it is something new then it will require a factory sub with it linked in the submission.

[member="Matsu Ike"]

You are correct. I apologize. With no mention of Dev threads being brought when I asked about it. I didn't look for that particular rule. Though I suppose I wasnt asking the right questions at the time. Or at least not all the right questions. As a note, I do still plan to do extensive mining threads before Ice has access to any of the crystals as well. Per those rules. I also went ahead and added 4 (now 6) paragraphs to outline possible reasons why stygium crystals could be present on this planet. Another reason, OOC wise, would be because I was simply trying to create a world not within the sphere of influence of any faction where a rare material could still be found. Presently it is all controlled by just the mandos.

I put in a link for the mobile mining platform. It has already been subbed and approved, and contains a vast amount of detail explaining how it all works.

As for the plants and animals. I tried to keep them vague so as not to interfere with the planet sub. As they have no bearing on the planet or any future mining operations. May I request we still proceed with any further concerns about the planet? I do plan on subbing that stuff later as I want to write a whole exploration thread of the planet. I thought it would be fun to "discover" the plants an animals when Ice brings the first mining operations into the system.

Edit: I also added a couple extra paragraphs to include some more detail on the weather.

Edit again: 2 more paragraphs, for a total of 6 extra paragraphs just to explain the stygium crystals have been added. I also specifically brought out that restricted metals are not present on the planet at all. And that other precious metals are fairly rare.

[member="Matsu Ike"]

Well, now that I am back on my computer, I went and made some more changes. They are as follows.

Added 2 paragraphs of details.
Added 6-7 lines worth of fluff to expand on some of the smaller paragraphs currently there.
Added 3 pictures to better show what I am trying to describe.
Updated the formatting to make it easier to read, and keep track of where things are in the sub.

I trust all these additions and extra work satisfies your requirements? Or is there something else I can add?

[member="Matsu Ike"]

And for the latest additions.

1 paragraph in Terrain has been added.
1 paragraph in Terrain has been removed and moved to its appropriate place in the weather category.
5 pictures, and 5 small paragraphs have been added to the Solar System section. This will provide RPers with a better understanding of what else exists in the Solar system. And should thus help provide more detail to any RP's that manage to take place here.
3 pictures and 8 links have been added to the initial section of quick information to provide a better visual and more information on what is described.

[member="Matsu Ike"]

Yep, you guessed it. More additions.

I added a fairly substantial portion to the geology section since you seemed to have a problem with me not labeling everything present. Problem solved! :D Note: All the minerals mentioned (not in the sw specific portion) are all located on earth. I didn't think it would be a stretch at all for a planet which had developed so much more so in favor of crystals and minerals than Earth, to have at least the same diversity of material in addition to a few SW specific stuff.

Also, I added 1 small paragraph to show the composition of the atmosphere in the weather section.

I'll keep trying to find things to add. Hopefully it will eventually be enough to warrant a response...

Kallistan Gems are specific to the planet they are mined on. That you already have Quella gems on there seems excessive and that it from all sounds is the same value just from a different planet means it might not be needed. Remove the kallistan and you can keep the Quella.

You still have not provided a reasoning for why stygium should be allowed. You provided a theory for why it could be there but not why is should be allowed to be present on the planet. Please provide one this is an ooc reasoning and with the entire planet being packed with already rare gems seems unneeded to just provide another.

The planet still requires a history, even if it is newly discovered it has been around for a long time. There is history there. Given its location near the end of the corellian run there is a chance it would be found previous. There are several planets on the map that are within a nebula and hidden away. The most prolific being Aza'zoth that is inside a large force storm and nebula. However despite only being a known location by a handful of people it was still open to Dominion. As will this world be and therefore it need a history, it need information that others can use for the world if they decide to go there and explore. This is adding to the lore of the site it is not just to make a private place you can claim as only belonging to a single person and no one else can rp there.

All images will require an image credit

Force crystals are going to need a reason for them as well. A crystal that can be used to power ship weapons need some strong reasoning. The ability to find Solari crystals which are very rare throughout the galaxy only developing on a couple of planets I would like to see why here as well. Sigil crystals are from and named because they are in the Sigil system.

The intent should also be changed, based on it right now this purely sounds like a world made to be exploited and abused to give an advantage instead of fun.

I will be talking with the other judges and I informed you I am with family for the holiday.

[member="Matsu Ike"]

I went ahead and removed all the SW specific crystals outside of the more basic Adegan lightsaber crystals and two others that i specified before so as not to be too greedy.
Image credit has been added to all pictures.

I have provided numerous reasons for all of your concerns...

Stygium Crystals - Two theories on possible ways they came about into existence, the fact that the planet has developed a very crystalline type path in its geology (Also a reason for the lightsaber and force crystals), thus lending itself to many types of crystals including stygium crystals, and the ooc reason so that the mandos don't have a monopoly on them anymore. That's 4 reasons. I don't know how many more reasons you need. Can you please specify what else you could be looking for? Because I am at a loss. Ok seriously...Last edit: :p A 5th reason is since the primary supplies of Stygium Crystals are essentially exhausted in their original known locations, The galaxy cannot realistically continue to keep making stealth ships using stygium crystals. Eventually it would have to end. This allows a new source for people to be able to work to gain stealth tech after the mandos dwindling supply finally runs out. 6th reason, provided the planet can actually be found by PC's not in the employ of STI, it would actually give people a chance to mine for Stygium crystals in their dev threads instead of only having the option to raid. Which is currently the case. Raid or buy them. But some can't even buy them because they are apart of an opposing faction. Ergo, more RP options.

History - This planet has never been discovered before. So there is no history. I gave a couple reasons for why it wasn't discovered as well. Unknown region, and in a gaseous nebulae. I don't understand why you are insisting that someone has to have been there before. It's history will be written in the upcoming threads. Edit again: Or are you implying you wish for me to describe how planets are formed? If that be the case, I respectfully decline to do so and will speak to another judge on the matter as that is just ridiculous, needless, and downright useless information that doesn't benefit RP at all.

Force crystals are not a restricted item. Nor without factory approval, can tech using them be used. And I suspect very much that I'll have to do a dev thread if I wish to use them. Thus earning that right in the end anyway. Finally in regard the force crystals. I plan to make an exploratory thread to discover these special crystal caves and use it as a dev thread if you will. But you can't explore a planet that hasn't been approved. It's like a chicken or the egg kind of thing.

All resource rich worlds are exploited. However, I already plan on 2 threads right off the bat which would include other players. And other possibilities are open, such as someone trying to find the location. The set up thus lends itself to quite a few fun possible thread ideas. Last Edit: So in regards intent, please share what you would suggest. Because I have no clue what to say that you would be fine with, and no longer feel like trying to guess. And I have seen a planet made that was basically a PC's private jungle retreat.

Also this planet is rich in crystals, yes. But to offset it and make it fair, I made it poor in metals. Especially in regards the valuable metals. Edit: And made sure to note that specific highly sought after metals didn't exist here at all!

And on a side note, there has been hours spent doing research to make sure this is as scientifically correct a world as possible. I have provided vastly more information than is normal for a planet sub. I had kind of hoped that would have counted for something.

[member="Matsu Ike"]

It should also be noted that IC wise, it is perfectly logical and makes total sense that a company would keep such a world a secret for as long as possible. Especially since it isn't apart of any factions sphere of influence. If other people outside of those specifically invited by STI wish to discover the planet, they should be required to work for it as much as I have had to work just to get this place approved.

Yet again, this only makes for more opportunities to RP, not less.

Edit: I also went ahead and added a couple new species to the biology section as per your original request. They aren't yet approved, but they are there. 1 is awaiting secondary approval, and the other is on the verge of first approval.

There is history for a world without people being on it. Aza'zoth is a prime example. (another would be the spires of hell) It was only known by a handful of people, it is protected by force storms raging making passage to the world impossible. However it is on the map, that means people can go there, that means dominions can be done on it. The history of the world itself not from the perspective of people, how it lasted, how it recovers, if things have happened to it. If the Gree who navigated the galaxy and were nearly everywhere including unknown regions with their hypergates, the Kwa with their infinity gates who expanded across the galaxy as well, celestials, Kilik, Rakata, Xim, the destroyers, the silentium. There are many many pre republic groups that were in that region of space and have at one point been around the entire galaxy. If it is on the map it can be found by anyone. Being one hex away from the ASA they can easily dominion it once the world is on the map and it being free from faction influence goes away like that. Your control over the world is here, once it in in the sites canon and approved anyone can go there. This means anything that has happened there with over two hundred thousand years worth of history before the battle of yavin and eight hundred plus after. Species that mapped the galaxy and had empire, had influence that touched each of the worlds. There would be history for the world, maybe not with people but a world with the rarity of resource you want to have here would be known by the strong powers that predated the Republic.

As it is standing I am not liking the intent of this world. No world in the galaxy is unknown if it is on the map. Worlds designed for the sole purpose of being resource rich and solely owned by one person have been denied in the past without so much as edits being asked for. The intent of a submission is the most important, the world is important but as it says the intent can get the submission denied outright.

So in light of that I am giving this a stamp of denied for intent. It only seems to be made for one person to be able to exploit the world and gain an advantage over others. If you

believe this is in error feel free to second chance it.
