This was it. The end of the line. Cas had finally tracked the bastard down after months and months of following any lead relating to the Dark Sith Lord. Following the events on Insatious' ship, and Cas' failure to live up to the promise he made to Ki'an and Liliana, he was going to make things right. The Kiffar Knight was going to find Insatious and through him, return Liliana and her daughter to their family.

The transmission Cas had received was broadcast an hour prior, luckily for them, Cas was already on his way to the distress signal's origin. Acquiring a lead, Cas managed to find out that Insatious had been abducting Force sensitive children and there'd been sightings of his infamous 'Death Squad' on a small moon with an even smaller population in the Unknown Regions. Cas' grip tightened around the flight sticks as he thought of his previous encounters with the members of Death Squad, their ferocity and ability to return from near death more dangerous than ever. For a brief second, apprehension manifested inside him but the Knight steeled himself, reminding himself that he'd been training for this encounter and was stronger than he'd ever been. The Knight was more than ready to face whatever Insatious threw at him.

The Phenex starfighter soared through the stars, only to slow down as it neared the moon from which the distress signal had originated. BB-5 expressed his usual concerns with Cas' behaviour through a series of beeps and chirps, Cas' expression was solid, determined, focused on getting to where he needed to go and concentrated on the fight to come. "I'm not calling for backup, I can't put anymore at risk." the Phenex broke through the moon's atmosphere and descended from the stars into the clouds. Cas' shoulders raised and he took a deep breath before letting out an equally deeper exhale "This ends today."

The starfighter landed a few short minutes away from the distress signal's location, from the distance he could see a village... and smoke. The canopy flipped open and Cas proceeded to vault out of his cockpit and onto the muddy ground, igniting his lightsaber before the boots touched the ground. Cas glanced up at BB-5 in the astromech socket, his face refusing to convey any emotion. "BB, remember what I told you?" he asked. His response was met with a few stubborn beeps from the astromech, only to be cut off "Don't argue with me! If I'm not back soon, you get the hell out of here. Get back to Concord space... tell someone I didn't make it, give them all the info I uploaded into your datadrive about Insatious, alright?" BB-5 continued to protest only to be met with Cas' stern voice "That's an order, BB!"

It then went quiet, the hum of the lightsaber droned on while periodic rain droplets fell on the ground or on Cas' lightsaber. A few moments passed until BB-5 broke the silence, reaffirming Cas with an obedient chirp. Finally, Cas' serious and stern face lit up ever so slightly as a smile crept on his face. The Jedi nodded to his loyal droid with gratitude before turning and racing off headfirst into danger.

The distant but threatening rumble of rage and death that filled the dark sky spread as far as the eye could see, casting its long shadowy tendrils as rain only intensified. Not far from where Cas landed he could see the burning infernal of torture and death with only screams to escape with the blacken smoke of hell. Having a clear line of sight to the village, the determined Jedi Knight was met with only death as loyal soldiers in Imperial armour cad in deep green and red colours, opening fire.

While a larger group of the division of Forest Troopers fired upon Cas, other were actively razing the peaceful village to the ground. If the Jedi Knight focused past the Imperial division of troopers, his eyes would find Death Troopers lining up villagers, both the young and old, executing them like some worthless war criminal. Focusing past the squad of Death Troopers inflicting war crimes of the unspeakable, right in the centre of the forest village, Darth Insatious, the Lord of Hunger himself had overpowered the old Jedi Master. Standing tall, one arm behind his back, Insatious' pose looked like something a Knight of Justice and righteousness would stand. However, the Just and righteousness pose was tainted and covered in the filth of unyielding hunger of a monster, consumed and cursed with the gift of the Dark Side.

Darth Insatious looked more like a black void from the distance of where Cas had landed. Defenders of the villages, most likely simple farmers, laid empty of their soul to the massacre of the Hunger that drives the twisted soul of the once-proud Jedi Master, Keal Parvall.

Cas would immediately feel the slithering tendrils invade the Knight's mind and soul, like tar, attacking anything that might try and stop their influence over Cas. An eldritch voice of nightmares, a very familiar voice, the voice of hunger and famine, whispering words of terror and insanity. "Cassss. I sense your rageee... your annnnger... and... yooourrr darknesssss" if it had been possible for Cas to see the Sith Lord's face, he would have witnessed a smile of intrigue and diviousness.

However, the Jedi Knight only had seconds to think, before he was overwhelmed by Imperial blaster fire of ten or more soldiers.

Cas deflected the incoming blaster fire from those that would oppose him, he quickly put an end to them however. He had to be eficient. This wasn't a time to have fun or to quip his way through the fight. Rushing toward a nearby tree in a blur, Cas slashed his blade through the tree and it began to fall, slamming down upon a group of soldiers with the aid of a Force push from Cas.

As he drew nearer to the burning village, Cas felt as if he was navigating through a familiar fog. A smothering fog of blackness that he only felt come from a single individual. The man he was about to face, Darth Insatious. Pain, suffering, rage, fear and a wide array of negative emotions reverberated through the Force's currents, Cas could feel every one of the villagers' emotions and he couldn't bare to stand by and let them suffer any longer. Then he saw the bodies, familiar husks he knew all too well from his previous encounters - he felt sympathy, then anger... they were innocent, undeserving of the fate dealt to them. He needed to put an end to this. Fast. Confident in his growth, Cas was certain he could.

Insatious' cold, harsh voice filled the Jedi Knight's mind... it was always difficult the first few moments he could feel the Dark Lord's infiltration. Like sharp needles piercing his mind. Though, Cas would quickly manage to block it out thanks to Sakadi's telepathic training as well as repeated experiences with Darth Insatious. Cas would then feel the hairs on his body stand on end, a gasp escaped his lips as his eyes locked onto Insatious' soldiers.

The Jedi Knight raised his yellow blade, and as he did so, the soldiers rained fire upon the lone Jedi. Cas deflected and redirected the incoming blaster bolts with the speed and precision of something inhuman, he'd trained for this moment for months, it was not going to be ended at the hands of lowly soldiers. The Force ebbed and flowed through and out of Cas' body like an electrical storm, fuelling his speed and movements as well as his reaction time.

Moments would pass before the number of soldiers dwindled, and when the number was low enough. Cas would throw his right arm out and unleash a powerful Force push, the wave would knock most of the soldiers off of their feet. Quickly, Cas would break into a sprint, the Force guiding him, he then broke into a large Force aided jump before landing directly in the thick of it. The soldiers scrambled for their blasters but it was too later, flashes of yellow and the violent hum of Cas' lightsaber quickly ended the soldiers' lives.

The Kiffar took another glance at the husks surrounding him, his lips pursed and anger riled in his chest. Summoning a yell deep from his lungs, Cas yelled "Are you going to fight me like a man?! Or am I going to have to tear apart your entire army?!"

Cas was getting better at deflecting and blocking Insatious' corrupting influence and it started to annoy the Sith Lord. However, the Sith Lord didn't really move, as he had the old Master on the ground, beaten and broken as the Lord of Hunger just watched with glee at Cas fighting. The once hopeful Jedi Knight turned vengeful, just challenged the Lord to a duel, one which the Sith would gladly give.

Raising his hand that earlier had been behind his back, Insatious lifted the old Jedi Master into the air and walked towards Cas Tynen. The black void of hunger that was Insatious started to drain the master's remaining life force, illuminating the side of Insatious' robe and mask until nothing but a husk were left, dropped to the ground. The Death Troopers had raised their weapons, ready to attack Cas, but surprisingly they didn't and instead voicelessly, just stood there in the pouring rain. Their flesh helmets had a ghastly sight to them in the dancing shadows of the rain and looked more like corpses than living beings.

Step by step the Sith Lord made his way towards Cas, bright Crimson blade, illuminating the black robe in red with the blazing village behind him, making him look more demonic than ever before. It's almost as if the shadows from Insatious expanded towards Cas as if trying to devour and merge with every other shadow around them.

Stopping not far from where Cas stood, Insatious held his lightsaber in a duelling position, "I been looking forward to this moment" spoke Insatious with a gleeful voice, though the tone sounded much more hungry and eager. As the two rivals stood facing each other, in the middle in the pouring rain, with the deafening boom of lightning, crackling in the night sky.

Bending his knees, Insatious raised his lightsaber to be levelled with his shoulder, as when pulling back a bowstring, pointing the blade tip at Cas. the Sith Lord then opened the other hand having a red-coloured cloud dance in the palm of his hand and in a flash of inhuman speed, he came at Cas. The Jedi Knight only had fractions of a second to react or he would be blasted with a destructive blast of pure hatred and vaporized. Insatious would instantly follow up his initial attack by going in for three quick but deadly jabs at different points on Cas' body with his blade.

The rain's descension increased, droplets trickled down the Jedi Knight's tanned skin. His lightsaber continued to hum as Cas stared intensely at the Sith Lord approaching him only to shut his eyes and turn his head away in disgust at the sight of Jafan Corr's essence being absorbed. Keeping his senses alert, he prepared for any foul play from Insatious' Death Troopers and was ready to take them out as efficiently as possible. His mechanical grip tightened around the hilt of his lightsaber as he took a step forward, beginning his approach toward Insatious as well.

"I know." Cas responded in calm to Insatious' eagerness. The rain was pouring now, and lightening followed it, but that was the least of the Kiffar's problems right now. His eyes shifted, watching for any movement the Sith Lord would make, at first the two enemies sized each other up with Cas entering an Ataru stance, bending his legs into an almost crouch and raising his lightsaber, positioning it to the right of his face, the yellow hue coloring Cas' skin.

Then it begun, a red cloud formulated in the Sith's freed palm, although the Jedi Knight would not have enough time to fully take in its contents. His brown eyes widened in surprise at the Sith's sudden burst of speed, his perception managed to catch a glimpse of Insatious' palm aiming directly at him. Cas channelled the Force through his body and veins like an electrical charge, granting him an inhuman reaction time, Cas dropped backward into a roll, gaining some distance between the two before returning onto his feet.

He prepared for Insatious' follow-up attacks, Cas quickly blocked the first jab with his right Mantellian vambrace - swatting away the crimson blade with a backhand. The Kiffar then proceeded to place both hands on the hilt of his lightsaber and blocked the other two jabs, transitioning into a spin Cas, with his right hand, unleashed a telekinetic push strong enough to shove the Dark Lord back slightly. In tandem with the Force push, Cas channelled the Force's energy into his legs and proceeded to perform an aerial leap over Insatious' head. Landing behind the Sith Lord, if he hadn't recovered in time from Cas' telekinetic push, the Jedi Knight would swiftly decapitate Darth Insatious with a horizontal strike aimed at his neck.

As Cas just manages to escape the initial blast of Insatious' Force destruction blast, every single raindrop around the hand was vaporized for a split second. However, as Cas dropped backward into a roll, the after blast of the Force ability still created an after shockwave, sending the Knight much farther back, than he planned.

Having his first jab blocked by a vambrace with a backhand caught the Lord for a second by surprise and felt the full might of Cas' telekinetic push, sending the Insatious flying back further than he would have liked. Landing on his feed, the Lord of Hunger reacted quickly and parried the horizontal strike and redirected his strike and the force he placed in the strike to get him to stumble forward.

Having Cas in front of Insatious again, the Sith Lord went right back into his Makashi stance, holding his blade high, pointed at Cas, forcing the Jedi to either get past the crimson blade or find another way past his stance. Each step was calculated, each move planned and each strike struck with precision as Insatious started to move like the flow of water. The Makashi was a strong fighting form and unrivalled when it can to duels between two single opponents.

Of course, the stance wasn't perfect, but right now the Makashi stance outweighed other forms for the moment as he continued to dance around Cas, leading the Jedi Knight further and further back towards the burning and razed village.

The Death Troopers just stood there, all facing the duel from a distance, ready at any moment to jump in to aid their master and creator, whether they wanted to or not.

Another loud booming crack filled the entire area as the entire night sky lit up as a flash of lightning spread across the sky. The flash of lightning was so powerful, it almost felt like early morning for a second, before the darkness fell over the village again. One of the larger houses in the village that still hadn't crumbled, situated higher than the rest, finally succumbed to the destructive fire. Snapping in half, the house crashed into the houses below it, creating a large fireball of heat, throwing long shadows, violently dancing around Darth Sidious and Jedi Knight, Cas Tynen.

His attack was parried, no surprise there, but the redirection which forced Cas to stumble forward caught him off-guard. Cas recognised the stance Insatious entered, Makashi, the Sith Lord would use it frequently in their duels but this time Cas was prepared, he'd trained specifically to fight against the Lightsaber Form. Adjusting his footwork, Cas switched to his preferred defensive form, Shien, as the Sith Lord quickly switched into the aggressor of the fight. As he did so, Cas studied Insatious, studying his patterns and searching for openings or weaknesses in his form.

The loud boom of thunder nearly shattered his eardrums and for a split second, Cas' entire vision turned white before the familiar rain and dark surroundings returned. Focused on defending himself as well as studying Insatious' form, Cas neglected to notice that the village fire had increased, only when he felt his skin grow warmer. Finally, the Jedi Knight decided enough was enough.

Re-adjusting his footwork once again, Cas returned to Ataru and met Insatious' attacks with forceful strikes of his own, enhanced by both the Force and his powerful cybernetic arm. Makashi was the perfect duelling form but the Kiffar knew it wasn't perfect, Cas was aware that if performed well enough, Ataru's speed and acrobatics can overwhelm a Makashi user... and Cas, at this point, had mastered the fourth Lightsaber Form. Like a lightening rod, the Force bolted through Cas and he executed his new strategy.

When an opening presented itself, Cas quickly performed a backward spinning kick, aiming to shock the Sith Lord with a kick to the chin as well as create a bit of distance. His boots hit the ground with a thud, Cas quickly rushed back in to attack the Sith Lord, not giving him any breathing room and sent out a flurry of attacks toward the Dark Lord with an increased speed and ferocity, ending his flurry with a front spin kick directed directly at Insatious' jaw.

As Cas returned to Ataru, the Lord of Hunger had been too captivated by the Jedi Knight's growing darkness in his heart that the very same Jedi Knight managed spin kick the Sith Lord back, giving them both some distance from each other again. Coming to his senses after the Knight's shock kick, the Dark Lord swirled his blade and met the Knight in his own mastered Makashi form, increasing his control and grasp on his Dark Side, in order to fuel his prowess.

Matching Cas in speed as the Lord flawlessly parried and kept up with the young Knight, however, as much as Insatious wanted to, the sheer ferocity of the younger Knight, managed to surpass and the Lord's strength. Slowly but surely, Cas' aggressive attacks, started to keep Lord Insatious on the defensive as he had trouble matching Cas in strength. Though, despite the overwhelming strength from the Knight, it only fuelled the Sith Lord with glee as it was the Dark Side, that powered those flurry of attacks, not the light. Whether Cas knew it or not, it was definitely something that was brewing in the Knight's soul.

Another kick connected to Insatious, though his arm took most of the blunt force from the kick. Getting knocked back a few feet again, the Sith Lord reached out and the Knight would feel his windpipe being blocked for air altogether. Having a solid grip on Cas, the Sith Lord forced the stubborn boy down on his knees. As Insatious stood over Cas, he spoke. "You are no match for me... NOW DIE!" taunted Insatious as he raised his blade to strike Cas down, ending the insignificant and weak boy, once and for all.

Insatious' Makashi proved to remain proficient, the Sith Lord managed to hold his own against Cas' onslaught but he sensed the Sith's defences begin to falter. Because of that, Cas' kick to Insatious proved successful - the Jedi Knight couldn't help but feel some sort of pride within himself, of all their duels this particular one seemed to be going in Cas' favour.

The Kiffar prepared to continue his attack on Insatious but suddenly felt his airways suddenly tighten, it took the Jedi a few seconds to realise what was happening. Eyes squinting, Cas gargled in pain and discomfort as he reached for his throat with his right hand, Insatious used the Force to command him to his knees. His chest rose and fell rapidly as he desperately gasped for even a microbe of air, the village's smoke and flames weren't helping the matter either. Eyes going bloodshot red, Cas took notice of the Sith Lord standing over him and as he glanced up he bore witnessed to the raised lightsaber, ready to end his life.

It couldn't end this way, it wouldn't! He refused! And just then, he could feel the familiar call of the Dark side, like a hissing serpent in his ear, beckoning him to use its power. Desperate to escape Insatious' invisible grip and save his own life, Cas felt he had no choice in this moment. Just this once, the Jedi Knight would willingly call upon the Dark side of the Force, allowing its black tendrils to dig their way inside him, he channelled its power before extending his arms and expelling a telekinetic pulse that threatened to blast away anything in its path "OFF ME!" Cas screamed as he felt his airways open once more.

Cas took a few seconds to recover the air he'd lost, but quickly returned to the fight, not giving Insatious any leeway. Wherever Insatious would find himself in the aftermath, Cas threw himself at the Sith Lord with a wide Force leap, lightsaber raised only to slam down at the Sith Lord once he landed. The Jedi Knight's speed and power was fuelled by the Dark side, unbenknownst to him as he hammered away at Insatious' defences with the fury of a rancor all the while screaming in a primal rage. Cas thought of all the lives he'd taken, all the lives he'd ruined, people he'd hurt, friends that had suffered because of his actions, he thought of Ki'an, his clones and they all fuelled him to finally put an end to this monster.

Striking at the Sith Lord with enough force to stagger his adversary backward, Cas proceeded to pull his arms back and channelled all the energy of the Force he could summon, Dark, Light, he didn't care before finally throwing his arms forward and unleashing a devastating telekinetic blast. The Force produced wave shattered and destroyed nearly everything in its path, generating so much force that it extinguished any flame it passed over.

Hearing the rage-filled scream and then be almost shocked back a step from the sudden expelling of the telekinetic pulse, Insatious actually was more curious than angry. He could feel the darkness in Cas' soul chip away little by little, begging the be released from its torturous prison cell, Tilting his head for only to raise his own lightsaber in defence from the now release Dark Side flowing through the very vain of the once promised Knight of the light.

It honestly filled the insane Sith Lord glee, seeing the Jedi Knight turning into a fallen one, a Dark Jedi. Nevertheless, Insatious still kept his defence up time after time as Cas' scream filled the battlefield of dread and death. Once again, Insatious was staggered back, standing closer to the burning village, than ever before. Right before Cas released his devastating blast, his mind was blasted by Insatious' voice, but not to attack it, but to manipulate the poor boy. "You are nothing without me!" Hissed the thousand slithering voices, before they disappeared just as fast as they arrived when the devastating blast of telekinetic prowess flung the Sith Lord across the ground crashing straight into an already half-destroyed house.

The moment Insatious was slammed into the building, causing the pillars holding another house above, to snap, causing a chain-reaction of destruction, as everything came crumbling down on top of Insatious. I huge fireball exploded followed by a flash and a bellowing boom from thunder. Surprisingly, the Death Troopers didn't attack Cas, they just stood there, like status at a cemetery.

For a split second, Cas couldn't feel the corrupting void in the Force from Insatious, almost as if he had finally died. But then, while another loud rumbling bang from a lightning strike, not far from the village, the burning wreck of the crashed rubbles started to move. As the Nether itself refused to take the wound in the Force that was Insatious, the chilling hunger for life came from the crashed burning houses.

Out of the ashes, like a phoenix, lifting the tons upon tons of destroyed houses slowly into the air with one hand, holding his crimson lightsaber in the other. Cas could sense a whole 'nother energy coming from the Lord, as he dropped all the houses behind him, causing the fire and flames to dances and roaring around the Sith Lord. The Lord of Hunger's shadow expanded, dwarfing Cas entirely like he was nothing.

"Well played Tynen... but I'm no ordinary Sith to be killed with your Jedi powers. I am the Darth Insatious, Lord of Hunger AND I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!" Roared Insatious with such an intensity in the force, that everything around him was launched with incredible speed away from him as he released a much stronger telekinetic shockwave. Wood, metal and everything the houses had, came flying with such an intensity, that it would be able to do serious damage if hit by the flying debris.

Even the Death Troopers found cover from the sudden explosion of objects. A flash of lightning cracked over the sky followed by a rumbling boom from the thunder. In a flash of insane speed, Insatious had closed the distance between them, while simultaneously cutting off the cybernetic arm in one fluent strike. However, the Sith Lord wasn't done with this Jedi. The Lord of Hunger was done playing around as Cas felt Insatious' hand slam into his body, which followed a blast of equal if not stronger telekinetic shockwave that would send him hurtling through the air.

However, Cas never got to recover, for he was immediately slammed back down into the wet muddy ground enough to knock the breath out of Cas' lungs. What happened next to Cas, was nothing short of torture. The Jedi was treated as nothing more than a thing to be tossed around with by Insatious. After what must have felt like a nightmarish eternity, getting hurled into everything that could do just the minimal sort of damage to Cas, felt his beaten body get slammed a final time in the muddy ground.

With multiple broken rips and deep cuts from getting thrown into burning buildings, the boy still felt the loss of control over his own body. Standing ominously over Cas' side and staring down at him, feeling the cursed call for feeding, the voidless hunger taking over. With a hard kick to the rip, probably cracking some more, the Jedi Knight would feel a pain like nothing before.

His brain would go into overdrive, desperately sending pain signals as Cas' entire body when Insatious released such a strong lightning storm at the helpless boy. Insatious continued to electrocute Cas in a torturous fashion, giving Cas only a second or two to actually recover before the Sith Lord went right back to frying the Fallen Jedi. To make matters worse, all the Death Troopers formed a circle, like an audience to an opera.

Finally, after half an hour of electrocution, Cas would finally feel the familiar pull on his life energy. It was as if his very soul was forcefully torn through his ribcage as if his ribcage actually was getting torn open. Being kept awake through the force, by Insatious, Cas could just watch as his slimmer of light slowly was absorbed into Insatious, only fueling the Sith's insane craving for Life itself.

As the light started to disappear from the Jedi's eyes, it stopped when Insatious forced himself to break his maddening life drain. Cas' connection in the force had been so weakened that one would think he was dead.

With the still pouring rain, still hammering against the surface, thundering rumbles and flash of lightning spreading across the darkened night sky, stood Insatious as the victor over the broken and beaten body of Cas Tynen. Staring down at the boy, Insatious didn't even think to whether or not Cas could take any more. With electricity crackling in both hands again, a gleeful smile formed behind his mask. "You will be remembered... for nothing"
