Private End of the Fall

Alderaan, a planet that had been thriving in her time, was later destroyed and then rebuilt. It was a bit confusing, but then she learned there was a nexus on this new Alderaan. Being on a walkabout, she felt it might be a good place to go soul searching.

Public transport again came in to save the day, and she walked off the ship and out of the spaceport in Adera City. Flipping a credit chip, she approached one of the many speeder rental shops that were nearby. The nexus pulled at her strongly, even at a distance. Iandre knew precisely where she was going. Once she was able to rent the bike, she climbed aboard and headed south.

The rising sun warmed the side of her face, and her clothes were filled with the wind of the speed at which she traveled. Her hair flew behind her, but it was tightly braided like normal. Some stray strands came free and lightly whipped her scalp. Wearing a small smile, she enjoyed the freedom of just being on the road while it lasted. Eventually, she knew she would be stopping and hopefully bathing in the light of this nexus.

As Iandre entered the dense forests of Alderaan, she would find the day to continue peacefully. The cool winds of Alderaan, the road having long disappeared and only dirt paths remaining. There seemed to be nothing for miles as she shot through the trees of the forest, yet the closer Iandre got, there was someone else who noticed. Alexandra had noticed the approaching individual long before Iandre would have gotten close to the compound that had become Alexandra's home. What was once a temple, having long been turned into an estate and compound for her family and her.

Of course, that did not mean Alex turned away visitors.

Instead she had walked out into the forest, letting the Force guide her to where Iandre's path would cross and there she waited. It was at the end of the day a simple feeling, and Alexandra remained with her eyes closed while she waited. Her right hand holding the spear she leaned against as a aid of sorts considering her left arm hung uselessly at her side for now. Her thoughts wandering over what she needed to do later for her family and for the Garden.

It was only when Iandre was close that she focused back on the moment, staying right there and waiting for the speeder to come into the sight, watching for it as the Forest around them swayed in the wind.

The feel of the cooling wind blowing through her hair was quite liberating. Feeling some sense of freedom, she didn't hurry her journey. What might have taken a person a couple of hours, she dragged out for several. Arriving closer to the end of the day than the start, she slowed down when a person came into view.

It was clear she was waiting for Iandre. She didn't question why this woman was standing in the middle of the dense forest. There wasn't much for it, and the former Jedi pulled up and put her borrowed speeder into neutral. Climbing off, she wasn't sure how to greet this strange woman.

Reverting to something formal but neutral, she bowed a little and placed her hand over her heart. She didn't break her eye contact with Alexandra.

"I am Iandre Althea and came to visit the nexus."

Alexandra kept her eyes on Iandre as she slowed and came to a stop. Her eyes looking over the speeder for a moment before then looking at Iandre after, almost as if studying the both of them with equal weight before she gave the woman a smile. It was warm and welcoming as she waved for Iandre to follow her, speaking only once she had turned and started to walk.

"A pleasure to meet you miss Althea. Forgive me for stopping you out here, I prefer that my home is not quite that easy to approach. But you seem to be an interesting enough individual that I would be happy to have you as a guest." She would state, walking with a focus held forward and through the forest. Her home was still some ways away, and it would be sooner that they ran into the droids that Alexandra had created over the years to protect the place, rather than the nexus itself.

Instead Iandre would be treated to a proper conversation for now. Alexandra's hands crossed behind her back while she walked, or rather one of them was considering the left remained immobile at her side. The spear she had been using as an aid had collapsed, looking more like a shortsword in her hand now as she walked with it rather than placing it on her belt.

"You feel like a Jedi, but I am quite certain that is not the case. I have met quite a few of them, and after Coruscant there aren't that many left. I pride myself on keeping a good memory of faces, and yours is new to me."

"Thank you, ma'am."

Following the flame-haired woman, Iandre was silent and enjoyed the walk in the woods. It was peaceful and serene. Something the former Jedi had never learned to appreciate in her first life. This second one, she had been told to slow down and smell the flowers. What better way to do that than to spend time in nature and bathe in a Light Sided nexus?

Thankfully, Alexandra welcomed her and invited her deeper into the grounds. The nexus called to her, and she walked with her guide. She assumed from her words that she was the owner, and Iandre had no reason to doubt her.

"How do you find me interesting?"

The answer was given soon enough, but she wasn't sure that was all of it.

"I was a Jedi. Not one of the current ones, though. You see, I'm from the Clone Wars."

She still hadn't found a good way to say that when speaking of her past. After saying it, she decided that was probably the best she had done so far.

"So I have found that being a Jedi is far more nuanced than it was in my time. There's also the fact that the Sith are real and not something from the nightmares of children. In my time, they were a myth and used to frighten young ones into behaving.

"What was so black and white...isn't. I haven't been to Coruscant in over 900 years. Though it's been far less than that for me, and it feels like it's just been over a year. You've never seen me before, ma'am."

Alexandra listened as she walked with Iandre, her mind reaching out subconsciously and without her even wishing for such a thing. If Iandre Athlea Iandre Athlea was close enough to the force, she might even notice how Alexandra seemed to be weaving and combing through the flow of the force, following it and letting it drive every step. Where her foot came down, how hard it rested on the surface of the world below them. Most specifically though, Iandre would feel the pull, that Alexandra seemed to be looking into her very being but never seemed to glance her way while the two walked.

It was only after the question of what Alexandra found interesting, and the explanation of being from the Clone Wars that there seemed a shift in the woman. Her gaze turning towards Iandre, looking at her closely and studying her while continuing to walk in the same manner. It was when her head turned that Iandre would notice what was different, that Alexandra's eyes which had been bright blue before had now become dull and unfocused, as if she were blind.

And she was for the moment as she had given over herself to the Force while the two had been walking and talking.

"I see, I apologize but such an existence is very interesting to me. Those who have experienced a universe so different from ours, from the aftermath of the Gulag Plague, or Akala's dismantling of the walls between life and death. Such a different time to have existed before the reign of the Sith under the Galactic Empire and the Empire of the One Sith under Darth Krayt." She would seem almost to muse on the matter for a second more, her mind still running through it all before laughing a bit, her eyes turned forward again even though she no longer used them to see at this point.

"If I remember though, the Sith existed in the time of the Clone Wars, perhaps not as numerous and one of them hidden to you, but there certainly was a few who had revealed themselves." Her thoughts paused before smiling deeply.

"As for things being not so black and white anymore, I would argue that the Galaxy is simply more honest now my dear. And you will find, that things can be just as black and white as before. The Sith own an empire that rule over thousands, and even now a new Empire rises to subjugate and massacre millions." She would pause before smiling to the young woman.

"And on the matter of your face, I think it is one I will enjoy knowing now. You are someone who continues to make me curious. Tell me, why do you no longer wish to be with the Jedi?"
