"Be careful. This is an isolated hydrogen-isotope & helium-three filament reaction compressed in a magneto-inertial vacuum chamber, charged by electromagnetic coils before the superheated plasma is accelerated and discharged at rapid speeds."
"So you're saying it makes a big boom?"
". . . Yes. A big boom."

STRENGTHS
  • Starfury: Compressing stable hydrogen isotopes into a dense plasma mass before expelling in a violent discharge, the power of the Tyatr'geriuvr cannot be understated. With the potential to completely disintegrate an opponent, the plasmag rifle is a truly powerful weapon to behold. Additionally upon contact with a target, the plasma discharge creates a small area-of-effect burst that can affect objects and invidiuals in near-proximity.
  • Long Range: The plasmag rifle is effective over long ranges, and has increased weapon stability thanks to the weapon's low recoil.
  • Fast-Rise Capacitors: Components of the weapon allow for charges to be stored. In practice, if the weapon is primed to fire but ends up not being fired, these capacitors store the energy, so the plasma can be discharged quickly when the weapon is actually fired, allowing a single charge to be 'stored' in a sense.
WEAKNESSES
  • Size and Weight: The Tyatr'geriuvr is larger and heavier than the average blaster rifle, which can encumber mobility and make it more difficult for smaller species and individuals with less physical strength to properly use the weapon.
  • Rate of Fire: The weapon has a low rate of fire, which forces a user to be more conservative with discharges and puts them at a disadvantage when faced against large groups of hostiles.
  • Extreme Range Bloom: Over very long and extreme ranges, the accuracy of the plasmag rifle can become unpredictable and result in a 'bloom' that lessens the effectiveness of the weapon, while the plasma charge itself can often dissipate and lose effectiveness over these extreme ranges as well.
DESCRIPTION
The weapon with which the Mandalorian Clans will see a new dawn. Such a promise has been made many times, yes, with a variety of archetypes. But no weapon on par with the raw destructive power of the Plasmag Rifle has ever been produced before. The Tyatr'geriuvr is truly a weapon of the future.

The weapon functions by compressing two reactants; stable isotopes of hydrogen and helium-three filaments. The reactants are fed along a Magnetized Target Fusion chamber, reacting along rapidly oscillating coils creating a pulse-magnet field that results in an aneutronic nuclear fission that creates a dense field of plasma. The plasma is stored in a hybrid magnetic-inertial reaction confinement chamber during this charge period. Once the weapon has been 'charged,' this entire process taking around two seconds, then the weapon can be fired and discharges a highly-dense burst of plasma, accelerated with electromagnetic coils and mass-driver components along the weapon's barrel and stabilized through powerful neodymium magnetic clamps. This discharge is a highly-powerful plasma burst that has the potential to completely disintegrate organic material and low-strength armor. If the weapon is not fired, then fast-rise capacitors store the plasma charge to prevent a damaging breakdown of the buildup while allowing the weapon to fire the discharge without needing to charge up another plasma burst.

Starfury, it is named. The damage potential of the weapon is in the extremes, at the least. With the potential to not just damage or kill but completely disintegrate organic and inorganic material, the Plasmag rifle is a next-generation weapon that is not to be taken lightly. The thrum of its charge and thwop of its discharge would be enough to send opponents vetted against the weapon into a panic, fearing for their lives. After all, is it not unreasonable to fear a death so complete that only ashes remain of your once-living body? This fear is not assuaged by the fact that the plasma discharge creates a small area-of-effect explosion on impact as well, increasing its viability against tightly-packed targets. The plasmag rifle is optimized for long range as well, with neodymium magnetic clamps that stabilize the burst along with low recoil, which helps to partially offset the large size and weight of the weapon as well, making it more manageable. The weapon also features a fair amount of modularity, with various hardpoints that can be changed, such as the weapon's scopes or different grip configurations depending on the user's preference.

The size and weight of the weapon are detractors of course; it's much larger and heavier than the standard blaster rifle, and one must be physically adequate to properly use the weapon in a military scenario. Species that are shorter or on average weaker than the standard humanoid will have an inherent disadvantage and nigh inability to wield, and the same goes for any being who is physically weak. In addition to that, its low rate of fire means that a missed shot is much more consequential and somewhat reduces its effectiveness against larger groups of hostiles. The plasma charge also will 'bloom' and dissipate over extreme ranges, reducing its effectiveness in that area and preventing it from being included in a 'sniper' weapon category.

Ultimately the Tyatr'geriuvr is a weapon that is deadly, dangerous, and scarily effective. And it is the weapon of the future.
