- Howling Blow: Using electromagnetic coils to accelerate the velocity of the Paranaor's blaster bolts similarly to that of mass-driver cannons, the ENCL-36 Paranaor is a much harder-hitting weapon than standard blaster bolts.
- Weapon Variability: The addition of a grenade launcher on the underside of the blaster rifle which can be equipped with multiple different kinds of munitions allows the Paranaor to have increased modularity. This also includes the ability to interchange between different scopes and other module hardpoints on the weapon.
- Damage-Sealed: The Paranaor is protected from damage that could otherwise compromise the function of the blaster rifle.
- Size and Weight: The Paranaor is larger and heavier than the average blaster rifle, which can encumber mobility and make it more difficult for smaller species and individuals with less physical strength to properly use the weapon.
- Extreme Range Bloom: Over very long and extreme ranges, the accuracy of the blaster rifle can become unpredictable and result in a 'bloom' that lessens the effectiveness of the weapon.
The WESTAR-M5 was a weapon created first during the days of the Galactic Republic near a millennia ago, utilized by the Mandalorian-inspired Clone Troopers and, eventually, many Mandalorian warriors themselves. Durable and deadly, its iconic design would long outlast its intended era of service, and even now models of the weapon trade hands on backwater worlds and under the auspices of various black markets. But when the Sith broke the Mandalorian clans over their own home, it was obvious that archaic technology was not what the clans needed. They must be reinvigorated with new life.
And thus from the casings of its predecessors and the Forges of the Enclave, the ENCL-36 Paranour was born. A blaster rifle of higher caliber and size than most standard models, the ENCL-36 derives its base stopping power from electromagnetic accelerating coils along the barrel of the blaster rifle that, as the name suggests, accelerates the blaster bolt to be harder hitting, better penetration and have better range than a conventional blaster. This does come with the trade-off of a significantly larger blaster frame, making it less easy to wield. This is no rifle for a mere apprentice or foundling; it is a rifle for a warrior.
Another advantage that the ENCL-36 offers is the underslung grenade launcher attachment, that is able to be variably equipped with whatever appropriate munitions its user desires. Aligning with the design philosophy of this weapon, the grenade launcher attachment offers increased power and ability to decimate large clusters of hostiles, target enemy vehicles, pierce through heavy armor, et cetera, at the cost of more weight and a larger size. Aware of what such an investment the usage of this weapon is, the Enclave's forge-smiths were sure to ensure that the Paranour is protected from any damage to the best of their ability, with coatings of various substances that increases its ability to survive environmental factors that would otherwise make blaster functionality difficult. In addition to that, modular hard points -- including a scope attachment -- allow for a degree of customizability so that an individual can optimize the weapon for their own use.
Altogether the ENCL-36 is a weapon that is deadly and in a capable warriors hands will be a lethal instrument of death and destruction.
