Empty Worlds

"Elected king you mean. I don't think that really makes me a royal."

There was some humour in their banter and it took a bit of the pain away from her. As much as Jairdain had started to accept Yuroic was confused about what he felt, she had done the same with Brad. He was gone and she didn't think he was going to return. Now with the changes happening with Commenor, when he did return...he was in for a shock and surprise.

Yuroic might have thought he couldn't do anything to help her, but just being there was the biggest help he could give. Neither one of the dwelled for long on her pain and that was for the best.

Chuckling slightly, she nodded as she remembered their first meeting as well.

"I haven't changed my opinion about that either. The hard floor is sometimes just what is needed. We really have come a long way since those days, haven't we?"

Far more of a rhetorical question than one needing answering, she did give voice to the thought.

Yuroic shrugged. "Elected king is still a king, you are still royalty in my mind." Yuroic stated, somewhat unaware how that could be taken in more than the literal way that he meant it.

Thinking on the way he had changed from when he first arrived at the SJO years and years ago, how much he developed his skills, personality, emotions and changed physically. His body was bigger, muscular and less wiry that he had been before. It was definitely two completely different people, he had changed a whole lot. He wasn't sure that Jairdain had changed as much, she still had the air of the young woman he first met all those years back.

"I think we have."

She couldn't help but smile just a little when Yuroic stated he felt she was still royalty to him. It was never something she had intended. Everything had just fallen into place and was almost natural to her now.

"Would you like to meditate? Sort of remember what it had been like when we first met. Maybe in a way pay tribute to those days. We can never go back and repeat them, but we can remember."

It would be up to him and Jairdain waited on his answer. No matter what it was, she was spending time with him and in her mind, that is what mattered. This get together also gave her the opportunity to know what a private place on Kashyyyk was like.

Thinking on the idea of doing meditation, Yuroic shrugged and smiled warmly. It would nice to try meditating with another person, it had been awhile since he had done some serious meditation with another. "I think that could be nice. Feel the Force flowing through us once again." Yuroic stepped up to meditation room, opening a door to the room, it was a plain room with wooden floorboards with white walls and a glass wall that faced a small garden.

Taking a seat on the floor, he looked over to Jairdain and smiled warmly. "How do you want to do this?" Yuroic asked letting her guide the meditation.

She followed Yuroic into his meditation room and took a spot on the floor with him. Not sitting in front of or behind him, but beside him, Jairdain did not want to make this feel like any sort of lesson or anything like that. Instead, she wanted this to be two friends meditating together in harmony.

"Well, you are more familiar with what you are doing now. So there isn't a need to go through the basics again."

Now she was at a bit of a loss. Normally something would be taught or trained in this situation.

"I'm not sure exactly. Maybe just reconnect and see what happens naturally? Unless you did want to learn something."

Yuroic chuckled as he noticed that Jairdain felt a little lost in the fact this wasn't a general lesson or teaching moment. Seems that she had been doing too much teaching with meditation. "Well I can lead this, I find that guided meditation can be relaxing and intriguing." Yuroic closed his eyes and placed his hands on his knees, palms facing the sky. His breathing deepened and slowed as he could hear to gentle breeze of the garden outside.

Letting the calm and peace wash over him, Yuroic felt the Force flowing through the air as he spoke to Jairdain. "So, take a deep breathe and feel the Force flow through you. Today, we can work on finding balance in our lives, seeing how to work on strengthening our minds." Yuroic offered as he still felt there was so much imbalance in his own life, the crimes that he committed previously. Yuroic knew that Jairdain was more balanced in her life but things could change easily for her like they had before, his aim was to help her find a way to regain balance if she ever felt like her life was spiralling somewhat.

Meditation might be an area Jairdain was very familiar with, but it had been quite a long time since she had a partner to do it with. Yuroic offered this and with a sense of humour, she nodded.

Her own position was similar to his, but her hands were in her lap. Not touching each other but resting close. Her legs were folded up under her and the tips of her feet stuck out from under her bent knees.

The Force flowed freely between them and through her. Her connection to the Force had changed since they had last meditated together and she touched what was thought of as the Living Force. Not light or dark, the Force was a part of everything and this life source is what Jairdain connected to.

Following his instructions, she took a deep breath, closed her eyes out of habit alone and just felt the Force flowing through her. Sensing Yuroic next to her, her spectral form through the Force moved to reach out to him. Not touching, just waiting near him.

Yuroic felt the Living Force around them, it was neutral and the lived through all things both living and dead. He had been studying the Living Force for several years since his return from his exile, his ideology of the Force had begun to change since then. He couldn't believe that the Force was solely Light Side and the Dark Side. Yuroic felt the Force following through him and all around him, sensing it all around him, he could feel Jairdain having a strong connection with the Force as well.

"Now feel the dark, the light, the life, the death. How all living things have a connection and how they live with chaos and balance." Yuroic stated as he watched all things through his mind's eye as he saw all the living things in the garden. The creatures living in harmony and predators hunting the prey, chaos living within balance.

"There is no Dark or Light and death has a purpose."

Meditation was second nature to Jairdain and as easy as breathing. Holding a conversation with Yuroic, she was still able to meditate and connect. If he was looking at her through the Force, he would see just how much more she was connected than she was before. Through an adoption ceremony, she lived connected differently than many others.

Not quite following his directions exactly because to her there was no light or dark, she instead focused on the life and death around them. From the smallest bugs to the larger predators hunting their prey. If Yuroic saw it as chaos, she did not. Having lived on Iridonia and with the Sith, her view on some things was skewed slightly. Survival of the strongest and all that, this was something Jairdain understood all too well.

"I do not see the chaos you speak of."

Yuroic disagreed with Jairdain, there was a light and dark side of the Force. The divide existed proof was the fact that those devoted to the Light cannot use the Dark Side to the same level as Dark Side users, some can't even attempt to. "There is Light and Dark, there is a grey where both can exist together." Yuroic argued but didn't try to push his views as he knew this was a meditation session and not a debate on their beliefs, that could happen another time if Jairdain ever wanted to discuss it.

"Chaos is a part of life, it is all around us. Nothing has an order and peace to it. Life is chaotic." Yuroic stated as he wasn't stated the hunting was the chaos but part of a larger picture that life and the events surrounding them is chaotic. Breathing in deeply as he felt it fill him as he felt the Force grow inside him and flow around him as he let his mind go with the flow and take in all that he could of the Force that he felt. His fingertips crackle with electricity, just feeling the strength of the Force.

Since Yuroic felt there were a Light and Dark to the Force, she decided not to press the issue and let it rest. This was something they could talk about at another time when they weren't supposed to be meditating together.

If his own vision through meditation had improved, then he would see Jairdain as an almost pure white entity now. Even if she felt unable to call herself a Jedi any longer, inside she was quite pure now. No longer did the dark taint her as it had before. The longer the amount of time she spent away from the Sith and their teachings, the more their touch faded. While there were touches of darkness about her, they were very muted and could barely be sensed.

She listened to what he said about the chaos around them and almost chuckled.

"Everything happens for a reason and chaos plays no part of it. While we might not know why something happened, there is always a reason for it. Nothing can change that. At least, to me."

As they sat together meditating, she could feel him draw the Force within him and he had certainly gotten stronger. Their abilities were different, but right now they were working with the same thing. She had far better control though and maintained that. Instead of allowing electricity to emanate from her, she drew it within herself and allowed it to flow out naturally.
