Character Emery Lloren - “I’d rather know a little about everything than a lot about nothing.”

"Kindness is not the absence of strength. It's its finest form."

  • Name: Emery Lloren
    Species: Human
    Age: 18
    Gender: Male
    Height: 171cm | 5'7"
    Weight: 68kg
    Homeworld: Chandrila
Faction: New Jedi Order | Galactic Alliance
    Rank: Jedi Padawan

  • Emery was born on Chandrila, a calm and well-educated world where people put a lot of value on peace and learning. Growing up there, he was always a bit different from the other kids. While they were out climbing trees or practicing their agility drills, Emery was usually indoors, buried in a book. He liked reading — a lot. History, science, philosophy, even stuff about old star systems that barely showed up on any map. His parents never pushed him, but they did encourage his curiosity and gave him plenty of space to learn whatever caught his attention.

When the Jedi discovered his sensitivity to the Force at age six, nobody close to him was surprised. Still, his connection to the Force didn’t show up in big or flashy ways. It was something quieter, more like a steady hum than a loud flare. He was the kind of kid who paid attention, listened more than he spoke, and had a calmness about him that made people feel at ease. Even adults sometimes found themselves opening up to him without really meaning to.

At twelve, Emery left for the Jedi Temple. The change hit him harder than he expected. Life there was a lot stricter and more intense than the slow, thoughtful pace he’d been used to back home. But he coped the best way he knew how — by heading straight to the archives. The Jedi texts, the lessons on the Force, the old stories of past Jedi... they gave him something familiar to hold on to. He’d read for hours, sometimes forgetting to eat. Once or twice, he even corrected a Knight during a lesson — politely, of course — and people started to notice just how much he knew.

Still, Emery wasn’t the type to brag. He kept things low-key and made a point of staying humble. If someone was struggling, he’d offer help. If there was tension in the room, he’d find a way to ease it. His classmates often came to him when they needed someone to talk to. Maybe it was the way he listened, or maybe it was just that he didn’t judge.

That’s not to say everything came easily. Emery struggled with the physical side of training. He wasn’t the fastest with a lightsaber, and he didn’t have the raw strength some of the others did. But he kept showing up, and over time, his technique improved. What he lacked in speed, he made up for in control and thoughtfulness. He treated combat like a puzzle — not just something to win, but something to understand. To him, the Force wasn’t a tool to dominate others. It was a reminder to stay balanced, to heal, to protect when needed.

Now, at eighteen, he’s starting to feel the weight of it all. The missions are getting more serious. The choices feel heavier. He’s still technically a Padawan, but there's this sense that he's nearing something — like the path ahead is starting to take shape. He’s realizing that knowledge, while important, isn’t everything. Sometimes what matters most is being there for others. Taking action when it counts. Listening when nobody else does.

He’s far from perfect. He second-guesses himself, holds back when he’s unsure, and occasionally gets lost in his own head. But he's trying — and that counts for something. Emery may not be the most powerful Jedi-in-training, but he’s steady, kind, and driven by something deeper than ambition. And maybe, in a galaxy that’s seen too much chaos, that kind of Jedi is exactly what’s needed.

He has a radiant, sun-kissed look with wavy blond hair that tumbles in loose layers around his head, giving off a natural beachy vibe. His hair catches the light, adding to the golden warmth of his appearance. His eyes are a striking shade of blue, vibrant and clear, with thick brows that give his expression both charm and confidence. A soft smile rests on his lips, open and inviting, like someone always ready to share a laugh. His skin is smooth and lightly tanned, suggesting time spent under the sun.

He appears like someone who might live by the sea, gathering stories as freely as seashells, perhaps he could've in another lifetime.
  • Strengths and Weaknesses
+ Vast and diverse knowledge, able to recall obscure facts that help in tough situations
+ Kind and patient, naturally calming and trustworthy to those around him
+ Highly disciplined and focused in study and training, mentally resilient
+ Thoughtful and precise in combat, favoring defense and non-lethal tactics

~ Tends to overthink decisions, which can slow down his reactions in urgent moments
~ Deeply empathetic, sometimes struggling with harsh realities or cruelty
~ Idealistic and sometimes hesitant to accept morally gray situations

    - Physically weaker and less endurance compared to other Jedi peers
    - Hesitant to act quickly in battle, prone to analysis paralysis
    - Can be uncertain when forced to rely on instinct over logic
