Embrace the Darkness (Open to anyone)

Korriban, Valley of the Dark Lords

Korriban was no longer a world for all sith since the emergence if the resurgent empire. Yet no government, no power in the galaxy could stand against the might of the sith as an idea and not as an organization. The darkness always found a way to etch itself deep enough into a world to conquer not only men but time. If a group like the empire meant to stop it, then they would fall, like anyone else.

The metallic figure of Darth Abyss stood motionless in the center of the valley of the sleeping gods, the recently ascended Sith Lord standing between the remains of his predecessors. This was where sith came to die, but it was also a place where sith came to be reborn. Each tomb offered its own test, each ancient ruin was guarded by the dark side in one way or another. Here many young sith had been forged into more than just simple minded followers, warriors, scholars and monsters had been brought into existence here by the hand of the sith lords, which reached for fresh flesh even from beyond the grave.

The hand of the Prophet could reach from beyond the grave as well, only that in his case it was meant far more literal. Nothing more than a set of armor, forged out of metal and ancient magic, kept together by the twisted and dark, yet pure spirit of Abyss. He was a seeker, hunter and devourer of knowledge, but he was also a teacher of said knowledge. Like the sith buried around him he had come to their ancient home to make sure that the next generation of sith was not crippled by weakness.

To do so the Mindeater would test all those that meant to traverse through the valley. As it was tradition for the sith, this test would be the most effective and the most simple one: Survive. His Mind would be the judge, the dark side his jury and his blade the executioner. Under the watchful sight of Darth Abyss the darkness would remain strong, and the chains of the sith would remain broken.

Just a little fun post. Everyone can feel free to join, but the test is aimed at sith. This isn't meant to crush others, but more like a fight in which your charcter can A. test his skill and B. maybe even pick up one or two tricks from Abyss lol. Also if you want to swarm him with more than one opponent at a time, then go for it.

Hakan Venttuss

He Who Blinds the Sun
The ash beneath Hakan's boots crunched with every step he took, a look of boredom and disdain for his surroundings adorned his young, but nonetheless scarred face. Korriban, sure - a cesspit of Sith culture and was probably the perfect location for a hungry and ambitious Sith such as Hakan, but between the ice cold temperatures, constant Hssiss attacks and the incessant and exhausting whispers of the souls of the deceased. There were far more relaxing ends of the galaxy to be exploring.

But Korriban was different, Korriban was a passage - a must-travel destination to be considered a true Sith. A place where trials set hundreds and hundreds of years ago continued to mentor and guide fresh-faced Sith. He had to be here - if he truly stood a chance of achieving the potential that had him removed from his slave-labor camp but a few solar cycles ago. Weakness was a disease, a scourge. And without the proper training Hakan would succumb to it.

His eyes flickered along the horizon, scanning thoroughly for any unwanted reptillian fiends along the way. The newly promoted Sith Knight seemed upbeat despite his bored demeanor - he knew he'd find something worth his time on this planet. As their ancestors left much behind despite their disappearance.

Wearing a black cloak with a few durasteel plates adorning the chest, shoulders and arms - he was properly dressed for combat - unaware of what laid ahead of him. But Korriban was an abode to many trials and traps - of which he was quasi-certain to encounter at a moment's notice.

In the distance, a shimmering light fluctuated against the sandy desert backdrop - something or someone was there - impossible to make out from the glare - but whatever it was, if it was a Sith, it would've sensed his presence by now.
Instead of any worry, his expression morphed to that of a light smirk. Whoever was standing there, was waiting. "Just my luck." tanned lips whispered to himself.

Throwing his hood back to reveal locks of almost angelic white purity, he walked slowly towards the imposing shimmer in the distance, awaiting either a sign of communication, or an attack. It went one way or the other when it came to Sith. All he could discern was that whoever he was approaching looked less and less humanoid the closer he got.

([member="Darth Abyss"] Sorry if I'm hella rusty, I just saw this as a good opportunity to roleplay and learn with someone experienced on this site!)
