Elysium Multitool Mark 1

John Rakugan

C.E.O of Elysium Industries
Intent: To give engineering characters a cool wrist tool to walk around with, and to minimize the number of different tools and equipment that writers of engineering characters have to keep track of.

Canon Links:

Restricted Missions: N/A

Primary Source: N/A

Manufacturer: Elysium Industries
Model: Elysium Multitool
Affiliation: Closed-Market. Because of the Multitool's potential for abuse by certain unsavoury elements of society, Elysium's lawyers advised the company not to allow anyone without the proper credentials to possess it. Of course, despite this, some criminals will inevitably get a hold of the Multitool.
Modularity: Highly modular.

(OOC Note: Additional customization options will be created over time and as RP dictates. Each new customization option will be added as a new factory submission)

Production: Mass Produced
Materials:
• Stainless durasteel frame (4 inches by 3 inches).
• Titanium parts
• Fusion battery
• Holographic display
• Fusion generator
• Sonic generator
• Laser generator
• High-quality electrical components

• Plasma Torch Welder: The Plasma Welder utilizes focuses plama arcs to bind materials together. The arcs come from two welder prongs that pop out of the front of the device. This welder is for general manufacturing purposes.
• Sonic Welder: fkfdhdflhsflfhsd
• Fusion Pen: The fusion pen is exactly that: a stylus pen that uses fusion lasers to cut into materials. The pen is folded into a stylus holder on the centre console when it’s not being used. The fusion pen is used for creating, modifying, enhancing and repairing circuit boards
• Torch: Flashlight that spans 1.5 meters forwards.
• Spanner: Basically a Star Wars-flavoured drill/wrench.
• Desk Mount: All units are shipped with a desk mount so that they can be plugged in, folded forwards and used like a regular computer terminal. It also acts as a charging pad.
• Terminal: Can be plugged into a terminal for data transfer (like a data USB) or used as a terminal to read different documents.
(Describe in detail the special features of the technology item. )

• Easy to Use!: Engineers can make repairs anywhere, anytime, without needing to keep track of several separate and often expensive tools.
• All-in-One Multitool!: Has pretty much every tool an engineer needs.
• Durable Durasteel Design!: All of the tools and parts used are of the highest quality. They are long-lasting and durable, with the exception of the battery and emitter.
• Computer Ready!: Doubles up as a computer when mounted on a desk.
• Hard as a Rock!: Durasteel design makes it highly resistant to being dropped, punched or shot at.
• Significantly higher in quality and more mobile than regular multitools.
• Water proof. Can be submerged for up to 30 minutes without water damage.
Weaknesses :
• Low battery life: The fusion battery is only average quality and can’t be used for a long period of time. When the battery is dead, it needs to be charged up on a desk mount. 50 hours of battery time.
• Poor Emitter: Self-explanatory. The shield emitter was poorly produced because of John Rakugan’s lack of knowledge about repairing shield systems.
• Laser Lathe has Limitations: The laser lathe requires a holocard with a manufacturer's blueprint to print uncommon equipment / parts. Furthermore, the laser lathe can’t just materialize something out of nothing; the user would need the constituent materials in order for the lathe to build something for them.
• Weak to Ion: The Gradiant can be disrupted with high-energy ion blasts. Effect lasts 2 minutes (2 posts in combat situations).
• Programming Defect: The laser lathe can potentially be used and abused by highly skilled splicers, if it were to be acquired by the wrong people. The Gradiant Multitool has a known flaw in its programming that lets skilled splicers “emulate” manufacturer blueprint circuits, which is something that Elysium Industries doesn’t know about. Until the design flaw is brought to John Rakugan’s attention, the flaw will remain on all models.
• Extremely noisy: Not at all suited to stealth or infiltration missions.
• Very expensive: With the number of features the Elysium Gradiant has compared to other multitools, it demands a far higher price.
• Hard to Acquire: Elysium Industries is the sole manufacturer of the Gradiant.

The Elysium Multitool could best be described as "the engineer's swiss army knife". The Elysium Multitool was invented by John Rakugan and Thavron Howard as a necessity when constructing starships. Using the Multitool in their own starport, they found that

Based on the design of ArmaTech Industries’ ACS 208 Wrist Ion Beamer
