SPECIAL FEATURES
- It's easy to slip on, made for the comfort of the user.
- Comes with the addition of pauldrons and gauntlets, although they restrict movement.
- Quite easy to carry, transportation isn't a slog at all.
- Because of the materials used to make it, the ELYSI-13 is quite resistant to lightsaber strikes, with more or less the same resistance to blaster fire. This was a requirement, in the order's eyes, due to how few force-sensitives appear, making their own knights invaluable.
- The vest itself is quite lightweight, allowing for the range of movement expected by force users. Even in the hands of an average soldier, its mobility is obvious. Going along with that mobility is the surprising amount of flexibility the armor offers.
- Between the phrik plates of the vest, is thin armorweave. These areas of the armor are quite vulnerable to attack. If say, a trained sniper was to shoot these areas, death would be almost instantaneous.
- Furthermore on the separation of the plates, if the user of the armor were to go up against a sonic weapon, their fate would also be quite tragic. While the plates themselves would not be harmed, the armorweave would rupture, causing them to dig into the user's chest.
DESCRIPTION
The ELYSI-13 Knight Cuirass is the primary armor piece used by knights in the Order Of The Lion. It is meant to be comfortable, protective, and all-around perfect for any lightsaber-wielding individual. Although its use is common in the order, there are not many of them, due to the expensive nature that phrik has.
That said, the vests are typically traded between knights after missions, one vest being used again and again. The vests due often receive some wear-and-tear, so they frequently visit repair stations after around five uses. The plates are never damaged, however, the armorweave is. While the durasteel buckles are strong, they can still get damaged no matter how rare it is.
