Name: The Elrood Hospital For Force-Afflicted Sentients (EHFAS)

Description: The Elrood Hospital For Force-Afflicted Sentients is an initiative started up by Akure Executive Interstellar and the Galactic Alliance to curb the influx of Sithspawn and other assorted entities who threaten the lives of their citizens in and around Elrood. AEI has a lot of experience with Sith Alchemy, Sithspawn and other dangerous beings made or bolstered by the Darkside. They contained multiple sites on Dromund Kaas - a world notorious for its connection to the Darkside and the many dangerous critters roaming around.
After encountering the Norris Root on Almar and establishing a trade company around that world, they increased their activity and presence in the Elrood Sector. Following that AEI encountered the numerous issues on Elrood proper and contacted the Alliance for an official partnership, to do something about it.
Together with the New Jedi Order they made a facility that would serve as a point of focus for the effort of reversing the Sithspawn still plaguing Elrood and containing the other threats of the Darkside.
After a brief discussion with [member="Dissero"] a supply contract was made with [member="Avalore Eden"] and [member="Gabriel Sionoma"] to bolster the facility’s efforts with Ankarres trees, honey and force-sensitive trees. All of which have distinct qualities that make them very suitable for promoting healing and enhancing purification.
In the courtyard there is a single Ankarres tree, which is surrounded by half a dozen of other force-sensitive trees. Together they radiate an aura that aids in the healing process of the beings that rest inside said aura.
Inside the facility there are two dozen score rooms layered with Ankarres wood on the walls and floors, here the more dangerous and serious cases of Sithspawn are treated for their symptoms.
The Jedi Circle of Healing is known to have several representatives in the facility in the form of Avalore Eden, who is sometimes accompanied with a little Vaetling.
History: There are two distinct points within recent Galactic history which explain the influx of Sithspawn, the undead and other creatures of the Darkside in the Elrood Sector. This being the Dark Harvest and Akala Crisis, which occurred roughly a decade ago.
The former caused a rapid resurrection of the dead and deceased, who threatened civilization and was only strengthened by several galactic nations’ incursion into Elrood Space to exotic and strange technology in the form of an infected starship appearing over Elrood. All those deaths only fueled the uprising of the undead.
The Akala Crisis only worsened the strain on Elrood, which had received little aid from the Galaxy at large. Trillions disappeared from the Galaxy and any form of stability disappeared with them. Nameless, but unscrupulous Sith found a breeding ground of opportunity on Elrood, then, because where there is instability and a lack of law?
There is little oversight and a font of test subjects.
The pirates came later, but they only added to the difficulties of the people of Elrood, who were trying to repair the damage of two major crises. Only after the Alliance’s aid was requested by Incom did the sector see some marketable improvement.
The pirates were driven back, the infestations and other corruption was somewhat driven back by the New Jedi Order. But the Galactic Alliance was fighting a war against the One Sith and could not commit too many resources to fix the problem permanently.
That’s where Akure Executive Interstellar came in.
And that’s where Elrood is right now. With an experienced and big corporation, partnered with the Circle of Healers, curbing the tide and starting the slow healing process.
The sectors surrounding Elrood are taking note too, with a trickle of refugees appearing from Sekalus in search of healing.
Intent: To make an entry in the competition, while adding some flavor to Chaos Lore.
