Strengths:
Coms and Sensors: An array of sensors and communications suites and jammers are there to assist the Elin Garza to get in and out of trouble.
Ventral: While her torpedoes are mounted on the ventral side, the ship itself possess little else aside from anti-missile octets and rotary defense cannons. Leaving blind spots perhaps more noticeable on this part of the vessel.
Inspired by the tales of the antiquated Old Republic and General Elin Garza, Frielle decided to head the project herself at Three Moons Development and Supply. Taking cues from her grandmother’s older First Order designs Frielle set about making a well-rounded cruiser for both the Alliance Remnant and the Outer Rim Coalition.
The Elin Garza-class cruiser features a unique hull composition as well as a well-rounded defense of shields and electronic countermeasures. Frielle having briefly skimmed some of her grandmother's work 'borrowed' the idea of mass drivers and fitted two sets as a test run as to convince proprietors of 3MDS to work on a full-scale production of these cannons. The larger 203mm is meant for larger capital ships while the smaller 102mm is designed to launch shots/flak as an anti-air (starfighter) measure. Baradium missiles were also retrofitted onto the ship and utilizes impervium reinforced doonium to prevent sympathetic detonation.
Drawbacks to the vessel are first and foremost the ventral side of the ship whereby it possesses the least amount of defensive guns than any other section of the ship. This leaves the vessel with blindspots with more vulnerabilities on the ventral than on any other side of the vessel. Average size and maneuverability in the grand scheme of things may prove useful to outrunning larger ships, but smaller and more agile ships may still get the best of the Elin Garza.
Overall the ship is a test and future generations of the class will benefit from the first initial outings and combat scenarios that the Elin Garza is sure to face.
